It's the fact that he thought about the possibility of it...

Buck would never ask him to choose between him or Christopher but Eddie (maybe subconsciously) did.

Buck always prioritized Eddie's relationship with his son and we know he would never put Eddie in that position. Buck knows his place in Eddie's life.

BUT Eddie did think about the fact that it was "a choosing between" type of situation, and I think that's powerful....

In Buddie, we trust.

Seeing people dropping buddie it's so disappointing but not me, I've been here since season 2 aired. I'm undefeatable and stronger than all of you

But I guess that's what they're trying to do. The writers are doing whatever they can do to kill the possibilities of buddie happening by adding Tommy to the narrative. Don't get me wrong I love Tommy but it's not the right partner for Buck.

And even if Tommy is here to make the "Jealous Eddie™ realize his real feelings for Buck" happen it's not good nor interesting.

But I guess we still have another new season and half to wait and see.
