I just realized after I posted the Yeosang drabble that I never told anyone on tumblr about my other fic even though I talk about in on discord constantly. And then this post sat in my drafts for like, a year. So, an official introduction.

Summary:
Seonghwa’s life as he knows it ends the night pirates invade his home and murder his family. Kidnapped and imprisoned aboard a pirate’s ship, he grapples with the broken secrets that surround him and his mother’s dying wish for him to find the ocean.
Taken first as a bounty and then as a victory prize, passed from one ship to another and treated as less than human, Seonghwa remains fixated on escape. But his heart has always been stronger than his mind. An unforeseen series of events lands him aboard the Promise, and suddenly all of Seonghwa’s ideas about pirates are being challenged and he finds himself wondering, against all odds, if he can actually trust the strange eight-member pirate crew. Combined with the bounty on his head and the mystery of his background finally coming to haunt him-
Seonghwa stopped trusting long ago. But the ocean whispers promises, and he’s not sure how much longer he can hold back.
