password hashes leaked rather than passwords; but emails were in there too and there's a handful of janitors registered with .gov emails

the entire secret /j/ board got leaked

said /j/ board has them actively discussing gamergate and deciding which way they want to push the narrative and this continued long after gamergate stopped being a thing, like into 2019

the censorship list for the games boards has an extremely long list of mild console-related insults like 'nintenchildren' and 'soyny' and similar

a bunch of mods complained on /j/ about bot/porn spam complete with simple mitigation strategies to block the bots since they use the same wording, but the actual staff completely ignored all of it

also from /j/ : a janitor got demodded for objecting to the new policy that it was forbidden to refer to the habbo hotel pool incident as an anti-racism protest (it absolutely was one; 4chan was very different pre-2010)

the server is running unpatched freebsd from 2014 (when the site was sold) and the attacker managed to get root

There's a lot more and it's 100% worth your time if you've done any sysadmin work because it's a huge tirefire and just keeps getting worse.
