Finished reading The Poet Empress

While it’s not life-changing like some people on booktok claim it to be, it’s one of the most enjoyable books I’ve read in a long time.

The pacing was great, how they handled a character like Terren, both a victim and a perpetrator was masterful.

As a reader you feel conflicted and that’s the greatest praise I can give. Reminded me why I like reading: made me tear up at twice and gave me a satisfying ending.

Since they introduced Isan with his sigil being 果, I was expecting them to fall in love or become allies but as the story went on I gave up on my original thought because they NEVER interacted. The fact that Wei ended up marrying the man made me feel sooooooo vindicated lol
