First off I just have to say I love this album. It’s thoughtful and sassy and happy all things which Miranda does so well. Jay Joyce produced this which is a first for her albums but works so so well. I might make more posts on certain songs in particular cause this was extremely hard to narrow down as you can see. But closing this album with the song Dark Bars is one of my favorite things. Love love.

This is a good cohesive album. A bit heavy on the drinking songs even for country but hey at least they are good drinking songs. There definitey are some filler songs on the album that probably won’t ever get as much love as they had hoped but to counter that the songs that are good are really good. A standout on this album is ‘Don’t Blame It On Whiskey’ it’s just real real good and I can see that being one of the singles. Me and Jack is just fun and catchy, I’m not a fan of the long ending which seems like it would play better to a live audience rather than on the album. Good stuff, this fall is gonna be full of some really fun country music.

This album has been out for a bit now so these aren’t first listens. Overall the songs listed I really really love, but the album overall I don’t love as much. I prefer the unison singing songs while some of the others fall short for me personally and come off a bit too meloncholy for regular listening. Loose change is also a fun one that I didn’t put on here. Love their sound, just don’t love all the songs.
