Her golden gaze narrows in the slightest as a sneer tugs at the corner of her lips. “Emotional manipulation, of course. It can be rather enjoyable watching those worms twist and squirm without so much as ever lifting a finger. Besides, Sokka has never been a threat to me, but watching him break as he pictured his darling little girlfriend give up on him, on hope…well….That was fun.”

A gentle rolling breeze danced over the courtyard, swaying ferns and stirring up soft sand. Keen, golden gaze narrowed on heavy palace doors on the opposite end of the courtyard, lips ticked downward in a deeper sneer the longer she stood waiting.

But then again, she had the audacity to summon her older brother – and yet he was keeping her waiting. The request had not been her own, rather an order from their father, one she’d dutiable oblige. As the ornate doors were thrown open, a twisted smirk graced her features.

“—Zuzu, brother…” For once not flanked by her two loyal friends, she remained standing in the place she had graced since she sent for him – not bothering to approach. Let him come to her. “Father requested that I aid in getting you reaccustomed to daily life, for someone of your stature, after your…. triumphant return.”

Over the years, Aang had avoided the rumours.

Horrible stories spread about the former Princess. The alleged asylum she was sent to. The depression. Hysteria. All the madness surrounding the poor, tragic woman and Aang has made sure to not only ignore these cruel words, but to also not be involved.

Perhaps, at some point, their paths were to collide again.

Eventually.

‘Oh,’ he says, rather dumbly.

Aang can only brace himself for the way she may treat him. The fact he defeated her beloved father.

And everything else which happened before and afterwards.

Really, Aang would almost pity her.

But––Aang isn’t cruel. Everything but.

‘You look well.’

Despite it all, Azula does look well, and, despite their history, he truly hopes she is on the way to recovery.

Or if she has allowed herself to tread on that path.

Golden irises narrowed in a pointed gaze on the male before her. To the rest of the world he was the embodiment of harmony, peace, unity – to her, he was destruction.

His presence, his power – had brought an end to her father’s reign, to his grand plan. The destiny that she had set out to achieve had been lost, short fleeting seconds; she had seen it all crumble to ashes before her.

But those short, fleeting moments had been grand; in time she had reached the pinnacle of her existence, but Aang’s power was widespread – toppling even her, to fall at the hands of her brother. Her pathetic brother.

“What are you doing here?” Azula questioned, “Did my brother send you?”

The younger sibling entered Zuko's room followed ever so closely by two Fire Nation soldiers. With a snap of her fingers the two men dropped their arm full of books onto her brother's bed. "Mai, and I were having some, girl talk and I was drawn to the conclusion that you weren't preforming to the highest satisfaction that a male of this nation should. Therefore, I retrieved every and all books on how to please a woman. Better read up, Zuzu. The future of this nation, depends on you."

The male watched as his younger sister walked into his room. Does she have no manner on knocking on the door for. “Huh—What are you talking about?” he said watching as the soldiers drop the books onto the bed. “—What the—” he soon picked up one of the book and read the title. Listening to his sister his face turn a bit— red. “Get out!" he shouted at her. " I don’t care about this!" he said throwing the book at her. “You and Mai shouldn’t even be talking about this in the first place! Get out!"
