GLaDOS voice: "Would you like to see some artwork I generated? I've heard from other test subjects that AI-generated artwork produces an uncanny valley response in human viewers because they can't perceive it as fully real. They've told me that it looks absolutely hideous to them, that they can't imagine anything more disgusting than AI art. But, well I've been practicing and wanted your honest opinion. Feel free to let me know how ugly you find this by ranking it on a scale from 'vomit-inducing' to 'eye-bleeding'."

Having a very "thanks, I hate it" relationship with the current Cosmic Exploration venture. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the planet. I love running around the planet gathering. I HATE HATE HATE how we're dumping our ugly shit all over this place. I DON'T WANT to expand the cosmoliner. I don't want you putting that huge platform down in the pretty spot I just discovered and destroying all the plants and trees just so we can go a little faster. I'LL WALK. I WOULD WALK this planet gladly! Stop destroying the scenery! OMG why are you DOING this to me???
wait i just found out you can be nice to people and be their friend i thought we had to kill them all cause i was raised in a lab to be a living weapon
I want zibia and kaeya interactions because it would be so funny
Zibia thinks she’s going to meet another Celestia hater who will help her destroy her grandparents
While Kaeya thinks he’s going to talk horses with a real horse (he’s going through horse withdrawals, varka give his horses back) and he’s going to braid her hair and they are going to eat sugar cubes
See, the first time I grew parsnips, I fucked it up good. I hadn't seen parsnips sprouting before, right, and in my eagerness I was keeping a close eye on the row. And every time I saw some intruding grass coming up, I twitched it right out, and went back to anticipating the germination of my parsnips.
But it turns out parsnips take a bit longer than anything else I'd ever grown to distinguish themselves visually. It's just the two little split leaves, almost identical to a newly seeded bit of kentucky bluegrass when they first come up, and they take a good bit to establish themselves and spread out flat before the main stem with its first distinctive scallopy leaf gets going.
I didn't get any parsnips, not that year, because I'd weeded them all out as soon as they showed their faces, with my 'ugh no that's grass' twitchy horticulture finger.
The next year, having in retrospect come to suspect what had happened, I left the row alone and didn't weed anything until all the sprouts coming up had all had a bit to set in and show their colors, and I've grown lots of parsnips since. They're kind of a slow crop, not a huge return, but I like them and watching them grow and digging them up, and their papery little seeds in the second year, if you don't harvest one either on purpose or because you misjudged the frost, so it's worth it.
Anyway, whenever I see someone stuck and struggling with their writing who's gotten into that frustration loop of typing a few words, rejecting them, backspacing, and starting again, I find myself thinking, you gotta stop weeding your parsnips, man.
This time yall get her not-so-human human form!! I’m going to have to add her to my artfight lineup for this year because I need to see more art of her. Also face crest?! Never used one before on my characters and I feel it’s kinda fitting for her
My motivation for learning to render will be her, just no motivation arghhhhh
Right so I’ve given this more thought and I have a timeline. This is all from my memory so excuse any mistakes, however I will not be taking constructive criticism unless it’s in support of this stupid theory 😎
The twins ship flys into orbit of Teyvat 1000s of years ago, does not stop long and then flys off. The flight logs are corrupted but is assumed that it flew off only to return and land in Nod-Krai 1000s of years later. Traveller (clarity sake Aether) suggests that sibling (Lumine) descends onto Teyvat at that first time in orbit.
What else happened 1000s of years ago? The war of funerary flame where a descender (Lumine) fought Nibelung and defeated him. Shit happened and the Heavenly Principles cast the four shades. They then went into a sort of hibernation.
We then know years later that the people of Khaenri’ah summoned a supposed hero, this was Lumine. However, this wasn’t the true Lumine who was in hibernation after creating the shades. This was a construct of Lumine, something with no memories that was connected to the world of Teyvat, meaning they were recorded within Irminsul. This would explain why Nahida could see into part of Lumine’s past and also explained the fact that Lumine is not classed as a descender even though Aether is and why Lumine wasn’t seen exiting the spaceship.
Clone Lumine served as the princess of Khaenri’ah and heir to the throne for many years, until the Vinster King decided to turn her into a vessel for unlimited abyssal power. This plan was stopped by the five sinners along with Dainsleif. Shortly after Rhinedottir created abyssal monsters that attacked not only Khaenri’ah but the other nations too. Lumine as the saviour and hero of the Khaenri’ahns was supposed to save the world but ran into Direidyth.
Clone Lumine had the superficial memories of the real one and after being told by Direidyth that Aether was looking for her regained enough of those memories from true Lumine. The key to the ship was enough proof that these memories were real and clone Lumine abandoned Khaenri’ah to fine Aether. Once returning to the ship they find Aether still asleep because of all the weird time shit that happened during A Space and Time For You.
Once the two reunited they both tried to leave Teyvat where they were stopped by Asmoday, the shade of space. Clone Lumine having been created in Teyvat could not leave and was targeted by Asmoday first, being sent back to when she tried to leave. Whereas Aether was not given the same fate.
After returning to Teyvat, Lumine and Dain travelled the nations in a journey similar to Aether’s in the future. At the end of this journey they discovered something that made them decide to stay in Teyvat and start a war with the Heavenly Principles. This was the fact that the true Lumine was the Heavenly Principles and that the Lumine that had been the princess of Khaenri’ah was but a clone. The clone had disagreed with decisions that true Lumine had made and also dealing with the mind crushing-ness of finding out you were a clone and decided it was their duty to stop the Heavenly Principles.
This is why clone Lumine refuses to tell Aether the truth and insists he finds out himself, how do you explain to someone you thought was your sibling that you were actually a clone and that the true sibling caused all this pain to Teyvat. This is also why the Heavenly Principles doesn’t see clone Lumine as an equal, because you wouldn’t see a clone of yourself with false and missing memories as you.
