don't know if pinned posts are necessary anymore but I used to have a gcest blog and ao3 account I abandoned ages ago. not new to the gcest game just back like everyone else sometimes a Liam girl sometimes a Noel boy mostly just want to bash their heads together like dolls. I don't like getting too personal online but I'm 20 and use whatever pronouns you like I have a deep love for the harmonization of Noel and Liam's voices together and my favorite oasis song is unironically my sister lover (gcestpilled.) so i’ve begun writing fic again, i’m starting off pretty heavy though. it’s mostly a non linear character study of the abuse noel and liam faced and how it shaped them as adults. i love dissecting what could be wrong with them and i also have been “enjoying” writing from personal experience. the first chapter is up now but i am still fiddling with it.

i realize i’m not amazing at selling it, but you can find it here

definitely take a look at the warnings and think it over before committing to reading it. only the first chapter is up now and it is less graphic and less incesty than future chapters will be. i won’t tell you how to read it or take it, that’s completely up to you. thanks to anyone who considers it

Ok so I’ve been thinking about My Sister Lover and why Noel thought it was a good idea to go through the whole process of recording it producing it etc before publicly hating the song to the point he refuses to even refer to it by name. He could’ve just not released the song in the first place and kept the first verse in Lock all the Doors and released that instead so why didn’t he?

My theory is that the song was meant to be perceived as a joke. I’m not saying that is IS a joke (it’s not) but he thought that it would come across similarly to all those weird comments he used to make in interviews. (“It’s illegal in some countries but when you’re on the road it’s fine”, etc) That way he could let some of his feelings out in a way that had plausible deniability while also probably laughing at how people are so dumb as to not notice.

HOWEVER, at some point, or throughout the recording process it became clear that the song did not come off as cheeky and ironic. Maybe someone brought it up to him or maybe he realized on his own that it came across as genuine and if there’s anything that Noel hates the most is revealing information about himself he considers private. So after that he freaked the fuck out and disowned the song completely.

Interesting to think about the idea that noel doesn't hate the song because its about incest--he makes plenty of references to incest before and mostly after this song was released--but because there is something sincere about it. not suggesting he's like Liam who seems to not really comprehend the societal understanding of incest/boundaries but he definitely in the past doesn't have much of an issue making jokes about it. or bringing it up unnecessarily and without prompting. it's hard to understand noel's thought process during the late 90s and he's a big fat liar who we can't ever take for his word. I do think though, if the song was something as simple as being a joke, like written with that full intention, noel wouldn't have such a hard time talking about it. he would probably in that case push it further under the guise of absurdity or blame us for taking it seriously or whatever.

I highly doubt that its either

a) just written about the sister lovers band as oasis fans love to say. if this was the case, noel could've literally just said so. there would be no reason to be so ashamed of it.

b) intentionally written to be ironic or funny. I don't doubt op's idea that he thought it may come off as a joke...it's actually an interesting theory. for the same reason as the sister lovers one, there wouldn't really be a reason to avoid the song so much if it was just a silly goofy joke. again, he could just say as much. it's a very human thing to try and broach a topic that bothers you or embarrasses you with humor and then get horribly ashamed afterward.

I also note that noel felt the need to bring up again and again that Guess God Thinks Im Abel was weird and incestous and berate Liam publicly for it. Liam is almost always sincere in this way and noel seemed somewhat resentful toward the fact that sincerity comes easy for Liam and when Noel tries to write a sincere look into the darkest part of his own psyche he keels over and dies because of it. where is the press conference noel?

some girl Liam headcanons

most of these are pretty cosmetic because I was drawing her but here are my thoughts. my pretty oc who I invented from the ground up with no help or influence from real life at all

more star motifs. more than just the tambourine, earrings and necklaces and bracelets.

she doesn't really like touching her hair, it gets long and gross and greasy and then chopped off into a bob similar to real liam's 1996 cut. sometimes it gets braided (one or double braids) and she leaves it in for a very long time.

she wears huge parkas and jumpers so she doesn't have to wear pants. she also likes wearing boys clothes and when she's younger she gets her brothers hand me downs.

I think she's probably bisexual, I don't know. I think she gets with Nic and it's a thing. like a big deal that she's with a woman despite the fact that her and patsy were in everyone's faces like two years prior. but she also has a baby and stuff, and then another, and etc.

her relationship with noel is the same but worse. she's ridiculed more for their public fights and also for their incest. these things are decided and publicized very early on. noel does damage control but who wants to listen to the sister fucker's authority.
