Why do bad things happen?
You, being here, persisting, already gives his life and his death meaning. He left something here that he was proud of, someone he cared about.
That's what Sam's for. I just want to make sure whoever killed him doesn't think they can get away with it.
Why do bad things happen?
You’re allowed a moment or two to grieve him. He would allow you that much, I’m sure. I’m sure he wasn’t without emotion.
No, of course not. But I don't have time to cry over this when what I should be doing is making sure he didn't die in vain.
Why do bad things happen?
I know how that feels.
But there's no use crying over it. I can just imagine the face he'd give me if he saw me like this. "No more chick flik moments." Dumb ass.
Why do bad things happen?
I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to make you cry. I usually say the wrong thing… I’m so sorry.
No, you didn't say anything wrong. I just... I wish I had more time with him.
Why do bad things happen?
But you’re not, so prove him a patient man.
Why do bad things happen?
I’d bet anything he wants you to make him wait. He’ll wait for you.
I should be the one who's gone right now, though. I should be the one waiting for him. "Make it later." That's what I said to him. I wanted him to be old and grey when he finally passed over...
Why do bad things happen?
I met an angel the other day and she told me that there is such a thing as Heaven. I bet they went there. And I bet they think about you all the time.
Yeah, I've been there myself, actually. I'm sure... I'm sure I'll even get to see him again, some day.
Why do bad things happen?
Did that happen to you? Did your reason slip away?
Yeah, it did. And I wasn't even around to try and stop it. I didn't even get to say goodbye.
Why do bad things happen?
Sometimes it feels like it already has. But then people come into your life… make you realize the only thing you lost was a reason to fight, and there they are… your reason.
Good. Hold on to that reason. Hold it as close as you possibly can. You never know when it might slip away...
Why do bad things happen?
I think I can do that.
You can. We all can. We have to. Otherwise the bad will win by default.
Why do bad things happen?
Will we ever get just a simple happy ending where evil doesn’t come back?
I don't know. But we sure as hell can keep fighting for it.
Why do bad things happen?
I just don’t understand why we got stuck in the universe where everything turns out wrong.
Not everything. Sometimes good conquers evil. It's just... Evil keeps popping back up.
Why do bad things happen?
Kind of seems to be the way of the world, sometimes.
Sleepover || Jo&Courtney
Jo took a deep breath as she drove over to Courtney's place, trying to keep her emotions in tack but failing all the while. It was understandable though, wasn't it? She'd only recently discovered that the guy she'd... Someone she cared deeply for - had just died. Been killed. Murdered. That's why she was glad Courtney had asked her over for their own little sleepover. She needed something to take her mind off of his recent passing, and Courtney seemed to be good company. Of course, it was a little strange for her, since she'd never actually been to a sleepover in her youth, far too concerned with the supernatural and the people involved. She would never consider herself a girly girl, and it seemed almost comical that now that she was almost thirty, she was finally acting like one. Taking another deep breath, she found herself in front of Courtney's place finally and climbed out of the car, slinging her bag of clothes over her shoulder and making her way up to the front door. Knocking several times, she stepped back and waited for the brunette to answer, unsure of how the night might go.
