Ethel was born into a Devout Catholic family, 5 years after her brother, Shelley. Throughout her life, Shelley was psychologically abusive. He did everything he could to torment her. And despite his behavior, he was coddled. Their mother loved her little choir boy, the one who was hurting her, more than her. It was unconscious but it was there. Maybe it was because of her silence, she hardly spoke. Maybe it was her odd mannerisms and strange interests. Or maybe it was because she wasn’t a boy. She didn’t know what it was, but she didn’t feel truly loved.
And eventually Ethel reached a breaking point. Despite her best efforts to protect Trixy, Shelley killed her. He drowned her kitten, her closest friend. And Ethel hasn’t been the same since.
Despite everything, Ethel loved Shelley. She wanted to turn to her big brother for love. And sometimes he offered it. But it was only a tool to keep her closer. Ethel accepted it regardless because it was all she had. She reached out and he was the first thing she saw.
She prayed for Shelley to love her without the torture. She prayed for him to stop. She prayed so much that she thought she was somehow responsible for his death.

Backstory : Born to two wealthy parents in Montreal. Her father serves as a board member for a large oil company and her mother is COO for a marketing firm.
She was a very happy and giggly baby but was quickly diagnosed with a severe seizure disorder. This coupled with her parents' growing resentment towards each other caused her to grow up in an unstable and emotionally neglectful environment. Her parents, unable (or unwilling) to deal with the constant stress of "close calls" with her recurring seizures, withdrew from her life. She spent most of her early life with a maid or some other staff member.
Once her disorder had resolved with age, her parents somewhat attempted to connect with her- however there was always a weird underlying disconnect between the three of them.
Her life continued fairly monotonously until her grandmother was put on hospice. Her father, against the wishes of both his wife and daughter, dragged them to Falstaff to be with her. Macy now attends a virtual private school and participates in the local track + cheer teams. In an effort to appease her dying grandmother, her father placed her into scouts.
Macy is pissed...but there's a certain scout that's drawn her attention as of late.

♡ ₊ backstory : she grew up lower class with a single-divorced mom and often had to do stuff for her. she didn't mind because it made her feel important. she trived in social settings and loved helping those less fourtunate! but due to this, people tended to come to her for their problems, to the point where they cared more for her advicr than her as a person. Constantly having to help everyone and everything overwhelmed her so much that she snapped. she stopped helping her mom and therefore ruined their relationship (that was mainly built on cas taking the role of a helper around the house to replace the father who left). that made her mom get more emotionally distant, and whenever cassie as much as looked at her, her mother would get a dramatic-faux sad look in her eyes as if saying *"how could my little girl betray me like this?"*. she also avoided the people she let vent, responding sarcastically to their problems. with the newfound rudeness people started reasonably avoiding her. This lead to her shutting in completly, relying on herself rather than the people, she loved being around others she just couldnt handle them anymore, she didn't want to. deep down she's still a caring individual but shes skeptical and afraid of being used, leading to her developing an roughness to her personality in word of self-preservation. With the years she became more unbothered with people but was still on good terms with most of those she was in the scouts with. she liked them and trusted them for the most part. overall a nice person afraid of not truly being seen as what she is so she shuts in and takes on a meaner look

hellooooo (sorry this took awhile im bad about answering asks LMAO)
but yeah regan did become apart of the iteration cycle after the first cycle she was conceived in. and that first cycle she was born into was the canon emh timeline, where she gets eaten. and she was born in every other iteration after that, which kinda pissed habit off. he kept killing her but she kept coming back in the next cycle so he just decided to accept it, but he never let her live past a child’s age (the oldest she made it to was 16)
