#growing up and watching SPN for the first time is realising that SPN is probably the best of the three lmao #still a DW girlie til i die but man when that show gets rough it gets rough #I'm still v early on in SPN I know I have some Choices ahead of me. But I did not realise how good it was when I was like 13 #don't even fuckin talk to me about the third one lmao

I still haven't gotten very far in my Supernatural watching yet but I am vaguely familiar with the rough shape of the show via spending over a decade on this god forsaken website, but occaisionally seeing earlier and later gifs side by side... do they nerf Cas' trenchcoat at some point???

It DEFINITELY changes colour (and I kind of like the darker tone tbh) but from my vague memory of gifs I've glanced at in passing for the last 15 years I feel like there are at least 3 (and later ones are for SURE shorter. I think one is single-breasted too???)

I refuse to look this up but I WILL be keeping track of this when I finally get to it (I'm still on season. uh. 1)

I hate to say it but I think if we were legit getting a 2026 Christmas Special for Doctor Who, it would surely be filming by now, right???

I'm kind of torn about this because the longer it takes them to resolve the Mess they've gotten themselves into, the worse it's going to get in terms of actual fan investment. However, if they leave it long enough... maybe they can just scrap this era of the show entirely, pretend like The Reality War never happened, and start again in a decade or so with an entirely new creative team that actually has fresh ideas for it.

#whether or not this era of the show will create the same kind of invested nerds the Classic Era did I don't know #but I'll be here. I'll do it. I literally already have elevator pitches for a series opener and a regeneration episode
