Healing potions, always have one on hand! Now that we’ve rescued and patched up the injured fluff-muffin, lets go see how the girls are going. I wonder if they enjoyed the film…

Slowly getting back into the swing of things, I did a clean install of windows so I’ve been remaking all my brushes and remembering how to remake all the effects in SAI and Photoshop. I’m adding the potion’s healing effect into my repertoire of effects to use for later images. See? It slowly heals his bloodied eye over the panels!

Ignoring the injuries…I’m pretty sure his legs are still tied up… Now to get him back to safety. Rythian’s probably going to have to carry him. I’ll let you guys picture how amusing that would be.

This room actually has a (albeit dull) light on so not the entire page is in the shadows! Huzzah! It also means we can see Rythian and Lalna clearer and get a much better idea of Lalna’s injuries. I felt terrible drawing up this page because of the mixture of seeing our favourite scientist all beaten up and also just having Lalna show some kind of sadness. It is still an odd thing to see Lalna as anything other then happy or silly for me. It still feels so out of character… Oh well.

Oh hay, looks like Lalnable picked up the Ender Rifle before taking Lalna back to his hideout. Also I did turn up this Lalnable’s crazy up to 11, hope that doesn’t clash with people’s idea of him being calm and collected but… ah hell, its kinda explained later why this one is like this. ;D

This page was a joy. Friends of mine know I love a good villain scene. Poses, dialogue, lighting, the hammier the better. So naturally Lalnable’s end panel there was the first thing I drew. Man I should draw more evil characters, it is so… relaxing. Now the one part I didn’t like about this page is the fact where Lalna got hit its… covered by his super fluffy hair… Trust me, He has one hell of a mark there but.. yeah, can’t show it… Also spacing the dialog was also one hell of a pain. This has been the second trickiest in terms of placing the speech bubbles. I’m only lucky Rythian wasn’t narrating alongside it, maybe next page he’ll be feeling a bit better.

You know, one of these days you guys will stop believing what I write in the page previews… I had a hearty laugh at the response from this page’s preview. Heh heh heh!

As a side note, it is probably safe to assume that Rythian had no part in the acquisition of that kitty mug, lot alone half the other cute/novelty things found around the apartment. It is really refreshing to work on these pages that have such bright and cheery colours…Even if the special effects where a pain to make… That and when I see this page I can’t get out of my head the idea that Rythian was having to sit through Zoey and Fiona relentlessly teasing him while Kim cooked dinner for the two of them. He he.

(This is the second time I’ve received this exact message so I might as well respond before I get it a third time.)Close but no cigar, my friend. Your first mistake is to steal it. Upon leaving his body he’d no longer be able to channel his senses through it so it would no longer provide him all-around vision (yay! Pathfinder!). If it was still around his neckline and you clamped them shut in some way, it would cause him not quite blindness but a similar level of irritation as if you where doing it to his own eyes. Magic is fun.This is, of course, ignoring the fact of even getting to do that to him in the first place. He’s over 6ft tall, is an arcane user, close combat expert…so, yeah.Good luck getting away with that.(I don’t have any good gifs for you today so have a little doodle of LabBuddies Lalna and Rythian cheating off each other’s tests.)

This was in May 2013, I believe? I only posted it because @bioha7ard suggested that I should and I just kept going from there! I’ve really enjoyed all of the fandom and you guys just supporting me and enjoying my art/askblog!! (even though it’s not active anymore. :( might change that. ;D)I hope to see more of you guys this year!! <3

You may notice Nano’s hair is now tied back and Rythian’s left arm scars are exposed, its because he gave her his bandage to tie her hair back with. She didn't want to wear a dead girl’s trinket, gifted from a murderer. Apparently I like torturing myself this time of year; that perspective shot in the last panel took me a whole day in of itself. I STAYED UP TILL THREE IN THE MORNING ON THAT DAMN PERSPECTIVE SHOT, BACKGROUNDS AND ALL. Despite that, this page is going into one of my favourites simply for the range of emotions I got to draw with Nano. From cheery to determined, then curious, resigned, confusion and finally sheer terror in the last panel (only really visible in full screen though). I get joy in drawing emotions/faces, as evidenced by my incredibly derpy faces in my own avatar.
