Here I will post mainly about The Kenference (Haise, Reaper, Shiro, Kaneki, Ken, etc), including occasional self-ship content! While I do have some other favorites (Tooru being a big one), they will take up Most of my thoughts and posting. I am slowly getting through a fresh watch-through, as I haven't seen S1 since high school, and I only Sort Of watched S2.

〖 Kuro and Shiro Kaneki’s, and Sasaki’s Preferred Cuddling Positions 〗
𝗞𝘂𝗿𝗼 𝗞𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗸𝗶
He’d prefer cuddling side by side so he can look at you or listen to your breathing as he closes his eyes.
Full-on cuddling might feel too bold at first, so he gravitates toward small contact like holding your hand or lightly gripping your sleeve.
When he’s emotionally drained, he’ll shyly rest his head on your shoulder. It’s a big step for him—something he deeply needs, even if he never says it out loud.
He loves being held but is too shy to initiate. If you hug him from behind, he’ll freeze for a second, then slowly melt into it.
𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗼 𝗞𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗸𝗶
He instinctively positions himself as a shield—arm draped over you, body slightly angled outward like he’s guarding you even while resting.
He prefers holding you close against him, chin resting lightly on your head. It reassures him that you’re safe and still there.
Unlike Kuroneki, he’s the one pressing his chest against your back. This position also feels like he's protecting you.
𝗛𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗸𝗶
He loves quiet conversations while you’re curled up face-to-face—little chats, sleepy rambling, or light teasing.
He’s noticeably more physically affectionate, keeping you close with arms and legs tangled together, completely relaxed and at ease.
He enjoys both giving and receiving—resting his head in your lap and letting you nap on him.
He likes to nuzzle your neck, whether he’s hugging you from the front or behind, and shower it with gentle kisses.
If you try to get up for any reason, he’ll lazily pull you back into his arms, mumbling, "Don't go. Stay here."
I know that cross dressing in anime is often a "hehe haha they're GIRLS isn't that so silly and funny" but every time I see Haise in that little red outfit I wanna bend him over and eat it the way girls like
Wonder if you have some Hairu to the Quinx headcanons
As in, how she would be with them?
I have some ideas 🤔
Firstly, while Hairu is pretty easygoing, I think she's very dedicated to her job and takes her position very seriously. Even if maybe she doesn't always want to. It's like a moral thing. And, I think maybe in part because of Arima, she would have a fondness for Haise, and would want to respect him if she were to ever work under him for some reason.
These people are similar to her in age, but I think behaviorally she may find that they feel eons apart. Not because she is not playful or can't have a good time, but because her upbringing didn't allow for the space to be disobedient. I think she would find Urie's behavior jarring and would be uncomfortable with it at kindest, and potentially combative at worst. I think, as the Quinx's superior (including Haise's), she would find Urie's insubordination incredibly disrespectful and I don't think she would sit on the observation, even if she didn't outright fight about it. I think both Haise and Urie would be a bit in trouble, in this regard.
I think she would want to push Tooru and see what he can do. She may even find herself curious as to what inspired such a ragtag team, and how it was decided they would have a leader with no leading experience. Was Haise doomed to fail? If not because of his lack of experience, then because of the biases his team has or may have against him? Haise is sweet, but that seems to be his downfall. He doesn't demand respect. There are no consequences for acting out, or being unable to do something. She may, in this mindset, push Tooru too hard, or find it frustrating that he insists he can't do what he needs to. It would be out of love though. She just wants to see him do well, for himself and for his team. I think she would try to be supportive of him and try to inspire confidence within him.
Saiko's slacking would also be weird to her. Weirder still would be Haise's allowance. This is not at all how her team is run, and while she can appreciate the laid back atmosphere - as anyone would - there comes a point where things simply aren't getting done. I do think, outside of that, she could have fun playing games with her, and I think personality-wise, they'd mesh well.
Shirazu means well and tries hard, so I think overall she would get along with him. While he's a bit reckless and needs reeled in just like the rest of them, he has great potential and is just easy to like. I think she could use her position above him to help keep him from straying into the Cause Problems on Purpose habit, and would largely be proud of him and his abilities.
As for Haise, I think beyond the shock and disapproval of his leniency, she would pity him. I wonder if she knows his story at all... She probably knows a little at least, considering Arima's involvement in his creation. I think she would see him as a sort of stray dog, one with great potential but isn't really cut out for the job he's been put in. I could see her trying to help, but issues can arise from someone else demanding you respect someone. Hard balance...
Tooru is an easy second favorite of mine 💕 I didn't like him a lot at first, because the parallels were so over the head, but as the story progressed he quickly became dear to me!
He was also the only one to treat Haise with consistent respect 💀 Saiko was often not around and Shirazu was easily persuaded otherwise, but Tooru was good and I appreciate this
I know his story is controversial but I still love him lots
Reaper is the sexiest to me. While Haise is my all around favorite, Reaper specifically does something to me. I don't know why, he's kind of a loser. I think it's the dark hair + glasses combo, which I'm always weak for

A = Affection
Sasaki is affectionate in a cheerful, natural way. He’s the type to show affection through acts of service—like making you a nice meal or offering a helping hand when you need it. B = Best Friend

The friendship likely starts through shared experiences—he'd be there for you during tough times and would probably take interest in your hobbies. His lightheartedness would make him easy to confide in, while his sincerity ensures you always feel heard.
C = Cuddles
He's comfortable with cuddling once he feels safe in the relationship. He enjoys it and is often the one who initiates. When he does cuddle, it’s usually in a relaxed way—lying down, arms around you, just enjoying the companionship. He might also enjoy cuddling after long, stressful days as a way to unwind and reconnect.
D = Domestic
He is surprisingly domestic. He would love the idea of settling down and would take the time to create a stable, happy home. He’s good at cooking and enjoys it, often whipping up something tasty to share with you. His cleaning habits are also solid, as he likes things tidy and organized, especially in spaces where he spends time with others. He’s likely to be a nurturing partner, wanting to make sure everything is in place for comfort.
E = Ending
If Sasaki had to end a relationship, he’d do it with a lot of care. Despite his cheerful nature, he’s deeply sincere and would hate causing pain. He would probably sit down with you, explaining his feelings honestly, taking responsibility for the end of things if needed. While he would feel conflicted about it, he’d want to make the breakup as gentle and respectful as possible.
F = Fiance(e)
He would have a positive view of commitment. If he felt ready, he’d approach engagement seriously and with excitement, not wanting to rush into it but knowing when the time was right. He might take a few years before proposing but when he does, it would be heartfelt and filled with affection.
G = Gentle
He is very gentle, both physically and emotionally. He’s careful with his words and actions, always mindful of how they may affect others. He’s not overly aggressive or domineering, instead opting to listen and approach things with understanding. His gentleness shines through in how he treats his subordinates and loved ones, always striving to be supportive and kind.

He's a fan of hugs, often giving them freely to people he cares about. He has an easygoing approach to physical affection and enjoys the warmth of a hug. His hugs are likely to be tight, comforting, and reassuring—something you could depend on when you need emotional support.

He wouldn’t rush into saying "I love you," but once he does, it’s a heartfelt and sincere declaration. He’s not the type to blurt it out early on but once he feels certain about his feelings, it’ll be with warmth and honesty.
J = Jealousy
Sasaki has a quiet kind of jealousy, usually more self-reflective than outwardly possessive. If he feels insecure, he might try to hide it with a smile or brush it off with humor. However, inside, he might feel anxious or doubting. If someone gets too close to you, he’ll likely keep it to himself, but his protective instincts may come out when he’s worried.
K = Kisses
His kisses are sweet, tender, and sometimes playful (like when he gives you a big smooch on the lips and says "Mwah!"). He might feel a little shy about initiating them, but once he’s comfortable, he’d enjoy them a lot. He’s likely to favor kissing your forehead, cheek, or lips. He’d appreciate being kissed on the cheek, or even on the lips when the moment feels right.
L = Little ones
Sasaki is great with children. He may not be overly experienced with them but he’s patient and attentive. If he spends time with kids, it’s with a playful, fun attitude—reading to them or helping them with things.
M = Morning
Mornings are peaceful and lighthearted. He’d enjoy starting the day with a cup of coffee, maybe reading something or chatting about whatever comes to mind. He enjoys the quiet moments, and his mornings are about setting a calm, positive tone for the day. He’d be considerate about letting you ease into the day without rushing.
N = Night
He loves winding down at night. It’s his time to relax and recharge, and he enjoys conversations or reading together before bed. He might also offer to cook you something. Nighttime is when his genuine care shows the most, as he’ll want you to feel at peace before going to sleep.
O = Open
He reveals things about himself slowly. He’s open, but not an open book. He tends to be selective, sharing pieces of his past or personal thoughts when he trusts you enough. Over time, as the relationship deepens, he might share more.
P = Patience
Sasaki is generally very patient. He’s not quick to anger, preferring to take a calm, measured approach to conflict. If someone is acting out of frustration or fear, he would try to understand the root cause of their behavior and respond accordingly. He may not always have the answers, but he’ll always listen and give others the space they need.

He is quite attentive and remembers a lot of details about you. He’s the type to recall your favorite things, the little habits you’ve mentioned, or special moments you’ve shared.
R = Remember
His favorite moment is the first time he cooked a full meal for you and saw your eyes light up. Your genuine delight became a cherished memory he often revisits.
S = Security
Sasaki is protective, though not necessarily in a possessive way. He wants to ensure your safety and well-being, whether it's through keeping you out of harm’s way or emotionally supporting them through difficult times. He’d protect you with everything he has. He appreciates when others look out for him, though it might make him feel vulnerable.
T = Try
He always puts in the effort. Whether it’s planning dates, celebrating anniversaries, or doing little things to make your day easier, he genuinely wants to show you how much he cares. Even if the task is mundane, he tries to make it special because he’s determined to make you feel valued and loved.
U = Ugly
His bad habits might include overthinking things or being too hard on himself. He tends to bottle up his emotions, which can sometimes lead to moments of frustration or confusion. He also has a tendency to put others before himself to the point where he might neglect his own needs.

Sasaki isn’t overly concerned with his appearance, though he does like to look presentable. He’s more focused on his responsibilities and the people around him than on how he looks. Still, he enjoys looking nice for you and would appreciate compliments, though he wouldn’t seek them out.

Sasaki doesn’t feel truly whole without those he cares about. He needs those connections to feel fulfilled. Being alone, or without someone he deeply trusts, makes him feel empty, like part of him is missing. He values the people in his life deeply, and their presence fills a gap in his heart.
X = Xtra
He has a talent for cooking, and it’s one of the few things that genuinely brings him joy and peace. He’s the type to spend hours perfecting a recipe and then share it with those close to him. His dishes are simple but delicious—comfort food that makes you feel like you’re at home.
Y = Yuck
He dislikes selfishness or manipulation. He can’t stand people who use others for personal gain, or those who don’t consider how their actions affect others. He values sincerity and kindness and will distance himself from anyone who doesn’t share those values.
Z = Zzz
He's a fairly light sleeper, but he tends to fall asleep quickly when he’s at peace. He enjoys a comfortable, quiet environment. He usually has a tendency to wake up early, but he doesn’t mind the quietness of the early morning hours.
Do you think Kaneki annotates his own books or is a "they must be kept as pristine as possible" kind of guy?
Do you think he annotates his books in the hopes that one day, even if only when he's gone, someone will find his books and read through his notes and be able to connect with him? Like how he connected with his own father?
Do you think that Hide went "snooping" through his books during that 6 month timeskip, and cracked open a few? He never really had an interest in Kaneki's annotations before (given he thinks Kaneki's book taste is dry and depressing) but now he craves that connection with his friend more than ever. Maybe a peek into his psyche could help.
i think the more outwardly destructive versions of him like shiro and reaper have annotations while his more pliant selves like kuro and haise have separate journals for notetaking

it's less about the annotations themselves and more the representation of kaneki's mindset while he is reading. he separates himself from his books when he is more mentally sound, representing how he knows that they are masks at the end of the days, simple roles that don't have a place in reality (sort of; he's also in denial of the darker spots of his true nature, and being able to literally close the book on his thoughts and shut them away is its own problem).
Meanwhile, his spiraling moments, thus his thoughts and feelings, blend with them. He almost literally "immerses" himself in his self-assigned "protagonist" role as a coping mechanism to simulate control over his life (he has none).
