He understood that much, though he was hoping for there to be any other actions that could be done to the door. Namely one that would be a subtle but useful action that these kinds of games tend to sneak in for those with good eyes.
Transparent eyes relax a bit as the spectre looked towards the other during their reasoning for why the characters they were playing were in the situation that they were, as opposed to what the butler mentioned before. It seems plausible for that, as this could just be some sort of twisted experiment some mad scientist with a heinous scheme wanted to perform to learn more about whatever they were testing on these poor people.
“^That sounds like a sufficient enough reason for this.^”, the canine claimed with a nonchalant voice as he had his character still searching for that key they needed. He hadn’t really found much except for a blank piece of paper, something that would normally be worthless in real life, but it could be helpful here.
“^So items have multiple uses in this game? Hm, that does bring about the question of what to use, when to use, and why to use it. However, I did find some paper that happens to be blank. Perhaps it is heat sensitive, and will benefit us later on?^”, Duckworth commented with a more interested tone this time around, taking a gloved hand off of the controller he held to rub his chin.
Though he set aside that topic for the moment as they were given an option, and a rather decisive one at that; to go together or to split up and cover more ground.
“^Given that only one of us has a weapon, I would choose for the two of us to stay united. That way you will not have to worry about me should we encounter danger while separated.^”
“Heat sensitive...” Donald pondered out loud, frowning in thought.
While on the outside it looked as if his brain was strategically deducing what the use of heat sensitive paper would hold; ultimately, his mind came to spilled milk in reality to the whole concept.
“Oh, alright! I promise if any creepy thing jumps out at us, I won’t hesitate to stab it!” Donald mused rather a bit to happily, leaning a bit forward as he pressed for his own character to walk forward.
Run with B! The screen had flashed, causing Donald’s smile to grow a bit, as he leaned back now; letting his character run down the hall.
“Hey. Do you hear something up there?” A female voice had said from downstairs, causing Donald to immediately tense up and stop moving.
Be careful with running or moving around too loudly! Your kidnappers are in various parts of the house, and even set up several traps to impede your escape! >>CONTINUE
You can sabotage your friend and make noise near them bringing your kidnapper’s attention to them! >>END
Donald blinked in astonishment, his nerves arising as his beak stayed rather stiff; his eyes focused on the screen with a bit more determination.
“Duckworth. I thought we’d be able to goof around a little, but...I think while we’re playing we need to be extra careful also to not make too much noise.”
With a noise level bar now appearing on the bottom screen; Donald’s mind raced. When were games this tense and anxiety filled! The most he’s gotten to was that one zombie game, but you couldn’t exactly just hide from those things!
