Annoyance filled Natasha, even though she did her best to keep her face blank. If there was anyone who would get a rise out of her, she would not let it be Tony Stark. She didn’t want him to have the satisfaction. “The only quarrel going on is the one between your ego and others beliefs. I’m here and I’m registered, and anything outside of what the government know has on record in regards to my personal life is nobody’s business. Not even yours.” With that Natasha stood from her desk, arms crossed. “Then we bring Steve in, and any insurgents with him. They knew that they would be considered fugitives when they left, so now we have to detain them. I know my job.”

“Nice to know where your loyalties lie, though I won’t say I disagree. So you’re not opposed to arresting and possibly imprisoning former teammates?” It was a question backed by curiosity, since Tony was aware of her relationship with Rogers and Clint.

“Tony, I’m the wife you don’t deserve. That’s how you lose a woman. You forget to love and cherish her and treat her like the queen that she is. I don’t need your love, but I do enjoy being cherished from time to time.”

T’Challa considered the man’s words, silent as he appraised his statement and the will by which he seemed to back it. He spoke of trials and charges, and though those were words he once echoed after his own father, they did not fall welcoming to his ears. He wanted blood–though, T’Challa supposed, there was no diplomacy in that. And that wouldn’t do, not when he bore the mantle of King. “Very well, Mr. Stark.” He responded, nodding and apparently satisfied. He would register. He would play upon the rules they claimed to uphold and yet hid behind. But his hands would see the shedding of blood, whether they believed it as his right to do so or not. “You have a plan you appear to be committed to, and your government has good people working to see it to fruition. Allow me to be of aid–even if I may not see his blood, I would like to see him brought in for his crimes.”

“Good. Now that we have that settled, we should discuss ways you can be of aid. First, what do you plan to offer?” Tony was purposefully being irritating. While he knew numbers on his side was most important, he also knew the King had a target on Roger’s war buddy. That would eventually become a problem, especially since Tony didn’t believe for one second that T’challa was so easily placated.

“And who does he belong to? Your government? My father hosted the conference in hopes of bringing light to the matters of accountability. “As a US citizen, yeah. He does. Sorry to break it to you buddy, but you have no jurisdiction here. As much as I love a good vendetta, there are plenty more reasons he should be brought in. I have a feeling you don’t really wanna see him alive, King. We have every able body working to find Roger’s and his little group that ran away once the Act was passed. And when we find them, they will be brought in and those necessary will be tried and charged.”

Vision was silent, hands folded over each other as he inspected the suit in front of him. “Rerouting to the central wiring with an access outlet towards the exhaust fans located on the shoulder blades should fix it.” He states, gaze tracking over to Mr. Stark’s wandering one once again. The silence he observes after is far longer, more deliberate. “The rest of it might be harder to simply…fix.” He wasn’t referring to the circuity anymore.

“You know, I have FRIDAY now.” Tony said, intending for his tone to be a little more rigid and sarcastic, but the words only came out as tired. Which he was. Taking another breath, he leaned back and set the small tools on a small metal table to his left and then wiped his hands on his pants. He was utterly exhausted, which showed in the way his movements were slow, but that didn’t mean he was intent on letting it show. “It’s just a minor mishap, Rogers will come around. He has to, this is something that we do, or it’ll be done to us.” He had shifted gears slightly, the SHRA becoming his focus.

          “you know, i really didn’t want to pull this card but if you want to keep pointing fingers about mistakes on the field, let’s go ahead and talk about sokovia.” he wasn’t deflecting, he just needed to shove him in wanda’s position for three seconds. “no, tony, i don’t know the length of her abilities. sorry i’ve never thrown a bomb at her in the training room and decid, oh hey, wanda, catch.” he was getting past the point of irritation now. he had a lot going on in his own head on top of the media and the government breathing down his neck, the last thing he needed was tony trying to lecture him.          “i wasn’t. testing. the team. the super soldier serum gave me a lot of abilities but seeing the future isn’t one of them, stark. you’re acting like i knew this would happen and just decide, nah we’ll be fine!” he threw his hands up and shrugged his shoulders. “i didn’t put wanda there and intend for that to happen. that bomb was for me. rumlow wanted me dead. there were easily fifty civilians around us on the ground. his goal was to take me out and she did what she could to save my life and those around me, she tried to throw him into the sky, stark. but she was containing a bomb so she missed. no, that’s not okay. and yes, people are dead. yes, i should have clocked that bomb and no i won’t argue that with you. but before you come at me and tell me how to do my job you better get your facts straight.”

“Difference between you and me -----I learned from Sokovia. I realized just because I wear a suit and call myself an Avenger doesn’t mean I can run the city unchecked.” Tony’s arm were fitted tightly around his chest, his tempered annoyance breaching his exterior. But this wasn’t about winning some debate, this went so much deeper than that. “The backlash we’re about to receive will be astronomical, get ready for that.” he said, exiting the room on that note.

The Vision doesn’t think too hard upon Mr. Stark’s words. He has enough experience as JARVIS and beyond to understand the inflections routing through the tone that they are carried upon.

“I do not, however I request your company either way.” The lilt to his words is unique to him as he hovers into the room soundlessly and takes a stand by the station Mr. Stark is working on. “New repulsor modules for the suit, Mr. Stark?”

“Something like that,” he grumbled, making do like he was intensely focused. But if he were being honest with himself, he was one finger twitch away from having to rebuild the circuitry. Taking in a breath, Tony leaned back in his seat, his palms going to the top of his thighs. “This whole thing is a mess.” he said aloud, not referring to the suit.
