- lets be real, we saw this coming. The change in activity (from 10 days to 7) the constant stress over the slowness of the dash (which never really bothered me because I enjoyed having a bit of time to work on my replies) and the closing of the server were all red flags. (Not to mention the fact that the main died for an entire week without notice and the leaving of one of the admins *cough*) There were also times where rather than talking things out with us, the admins worked as a unit that oftentimes split apart due to disagreements. I donāt fully fault the admin team for the way things fizzled out, but knowing what I do now I certainly expected more and better from people I considered my friends. Donāt get me wrong, Iām not angry or going to sit here and talk shit about them because thatās not what oliver does, but I wish that there had been more honesty and candidity
In life we can act like victims or we can be held accountable.

Stardust couldnāt believe that theyād gotten lost again.
It was understandable, though. They were naive, silly even, for getting caught up in the stories that the paintings told. Star had always been like that, though, even as a student. They found themselves increasingly late to their classes as a teenager as they had always been completely in awe of the school that they had been allowed to attend.
Hogwarts was no exception. As they traveled the halls, eyes wide with genuine interest, they constantly found themselves turned around within the schoolās walls.
With arms crossed over their button up clad chest, lips pulled together in something that resembled a pout as they came upon a few students, eyes just a touch hopeful as they reached up to run a hand through dark strands of hair.
āExcuse me, Iām looking for⦠well⦠I think the great hall? Iām not sure. Iām just a bit turned around.ā A light laugh, though their nerves were causing their heart to race just a touch. Students terrified the hell out of the professor, no matter how much they tried to convince themselves that they were being ridiculous. It was just something about it that took him back to his own time as a student. It made their shoulders ache.

There they were again. Jihan was immediately reminded of penguins, the kind that he had seen on those documentaries that the muggles favour, as the cluster of students joined together in huddles. It was a daily occurrence, one that he was not fond of witnessing, for Minho was entirely oblivious to it all. Really, how did his fellow professor manage to escape that office every day? Was the collection of whispering studentsĀ not an obstacle? As these questions filtered through his mind, Jihan sidestepped around those that lingered. Before he rapped his knuckle against the office door, he turned to admonish them.Ā āDo you want to keep those house points? Yes? Then get to your classes.ā
Jihan entered the study, which was just so blatantly Minho. Silk, from what Jihan guessed was from their extensive travels, adorned the walls. It was elegant, yet at the same time, completely chaotic. What lay scattered around was a total juxtaposition to what draped along the wallsāwas that⦠glitter? Jihan was not sure how such a feat was managed, but he had long since accepted it. Although, he still harboured difficulty with accepting other things about Minho. The schoolmate that he had grown up with was no more, and the stark difference was still proving to be a little too much.
āYou left a note on my desk,ā Came his inital greeting.Ā āIt looked like it was written in code, but if they were runes, I definitely could not translate them.ā Jihan looked at everything but Minho, and scratched at the base of his neck as he continued.Ā āI came to the conclusion that it would be better to just come and see you. I suspected that you might have something to show me.ā
Another book was placed on the shelf as the professor worked, a small hum erupting each time a particularly fond memory attached to the book covers appeared. Each one had been found while scouting out old libraries in the muggle world, digging about in whatever shops advertised older reads. Some of the books were falling to pieces and written in languages that had long since been forgotten.
Stardust had only been teaching for a few months, and his classroom was still very under-decorated , but the students didnāt seem to mind. Not at all, actually. In fact, they adored being in class. They always asked their teacher so many questions and it seemed that they hung on to his every word. They liked how warm and cozy the room could be. The way that their eyes grew wide in the summer classes as the wide set windows lay open to the gentle breezes allowing birds and flying insects inside. Though there was always that one student that complained.
It was liberating, really, to be so well liked as he shared the knowledge he had gathered over years of studies. Stardust had never been the smartest student, or the best student, but he had always been driven. He had always worked hard. Magic was difficult and often times he worried that he wouldnāt be any good at it. But as he practiced and studied and pushed himself, Star found himself finally able to control the very emotionally charged explosions of power that caused so many disruptions.
The word squib had been tossed around.
Star often couldnāt perform in class and nerves wracked their body, but the moment that they were home or alone or being bullied windows would shatter and lights would flicker.
And where they failed in physical magic, the power of divination made up. They excelled in classes that others struggled in.
Romania wasnāt long away, but right then it felt like centuries ago. Because even though Star wanted very much to be back at the school they called home, there was still that lingering fear that people would treat them the sameā that they wouldnāt be understood.
The dragons they had worked with understood Stardust. Though they were never very affectionate past the few days that they remained small and in need of care, they never questioned Stardust. And maybe it was silly to prioritize the opinions of large, winged, scaled lizards. But they had never intentionally wronged him.
Still, the ache in his shoulders sent his hand to rub over the prickling skin that showed exactly why no one should ever take nature for grantedā no matter how close one was with it, it was still a wild and untamable force not to be toyed with. It served as their reminder.
At the sound of another person entering the room, Stardust turned, their lean frame twisting to face the other. They couldnāt help the wide, harsh smile that overtook his features.
āJiji,ā They said brightly, dropping the books back into their pile on the desk and moving over to the other in quick strides that seemed impossible with the tightness of their jeans, the material shining in the natural lighting that peaked through the silk. āIām glad to see you, did you rest well? Iām sure I wrote in plain English but who knowsā maybe I was confused. I wanted to show you something out on the grounds. I was hoping for your executive opinion on something I wanted to include in my care class, if you didnāt mind that is.ā Hands pressed into pockets, the black button up that was 4 buttons shy of their collar pulling tight as their wide shoulders rolled.
āThen maybe we sit down for some tea? If youāre not busy, of course.ā Their eyes gazed affectionately at their childhood friend, a hand darting out to tame a stray hair that stood atop the mans head before quickly going back to where it had been in their pocket.

āYou like flowers, donāt you?ā
The words carefully rolled over the redheadās tongue as they held the potted plant in decorated hands. Stardust had felt a pull that morning, one that had led them into town. It wasnāt until theyād come across a painfully wilted flower whose name escaped them in a window. Generally, the type to do whatever was needed for the sake of nature, long digits had stolen the poorly plant away, tucking it under their jacket as the snowdrift froze the two.
In passing another feeling washed over them. As someone who generally thrived off of such things, Stardust allowed their feet to carry them in the direction that the āwindā carried them. This was the same wind that had convinced them to run away from home, to live in the woods, and to drop out of school. This wind had yet to steer them wrong in their life. Following it wasnāt even something they needed to question.
Coming upon the other they felt a warmth in that presence. Something sweet about them. Not necessarily in the way they looked, but maybe their smell? Maybe the aura that surrounded them? Stardust couldnāt tell as their third eye grew foggy during the winter months.
āI donāt mean to assume, but maybe this one will be a bit better off if you have it.ā Their tone was only a touch pleading as they knew very few people to honestly care about things in the way that the seer did, but it was hope.
What the other was meant to do with the plant was beyond Star. But they left that up to the wind.

wyyoosungā:
āFeels stuff?ā Yoosung echoed. His tone wasnāt necessarily skeptical ā if anything, there was a hint of worry. He was really regretting going home with the other and the urge to flee was growing. Still, he forced himself to stay put. It wasnāt like it was the first time heād ignored all of his instincts; maybe heād even gotten too good at it.
The blush brought a small smile to his lips, however. It was⦠refreshing to see someone to flustered by the suggestion. He almost felt bad for bringing it up.Ā āItās okay, darling. I, ah⦠I appreciate it.ā He eventually replied. gaze falling onto the cups of tea to give Stardust time to recompose themselves.Ā āIām sorry, I didnāt mean to make you uncomfortable. Sometimes I forget that not all people want to talk about it or⦠you know, doĀ it.ā
Yoosung reached out a hand to briefly rest it on the otherās arm.Ā āLetās ignore that happened, hmm? We can do⦠anything you want.ā He hadnāt meant to phrase it like that, but he also wasnāt sure how any of this worked.Ā āAh, um⦠Honey, please. Thank you.ā
"I've never even-- ah done that," Stardust admitted sheepishly.Ā
It was very unlike them to fall into such an anxious state around a client, no, they were composed to an extent. But something about the vibes that radiated off of the other cause for such a reaction, though Stardust couldn't determine why.
"No, this is definitely not a normal situation and you really aren't the first to assume that-- I really don't get why everything has to be about sex though. Like, I'm sure it's great and all but... like you said, not everyone wants to do that. My job is a little weird, but it's really not a way for me to trick people into sleeping with me-- you know? It's not important enough to me for it to affect the way that I do things. No, this is all strictly professional, even the tea."
Stardust had a habit of speaking in excess, but it became even worse when they got uncomfortable, but for certain jobs, it was required. The redhead didn't like to talk about themselves, they didn't like to dwell on the things that they were bad at or hadn't accomplished because it really made that small seasonal aching pit in their chest burn. They didn't want that. But, for what they did-- for how they ran things-- it was important to get personal. It was important to be honest enough so that others would do the same.
"We can start with just talking and tea, then if you're comfortable I'd like to read your cards and palm. But this really is about you and what you feel okay doing, alright? No pressure."
Stardust finished with their tea, placing the two cups on the counter and flicking a strand of dyed hair back from their face.
wyhoseokā:
Hoseokās eyes widened once he recognized the other as professor Choi, his cheeks heating up with embarrassment. It was bad enough that he was lost, but it was even worse that he had managed to walk into someone who knew him and heād have to face for the rest of his time at Ilvermorny. He bit into his lower lip, anxiously continuing to pick at his sleeve and shifting on his legs as the other spoke.Ā āTheā The pain-paintings, professor?ā How could he forget that the paintings could talk to him? It was his third year at Ilvermorny and he still wasnāt used to these things. Pathetic.
He didnāt know if it was a blessing or a curse that the other was lost as well ā it made him feel slightly less incompetent, but it didnāt help him find his way back to his classmates, either.Ā āAreā Are there, um, different degrees of being lost, professor?ā He then quietly asked whilst he wrapped his arms around himself, gaze firmly locked on his feet so he could pretend the older couldnāt see the blush on his face, his messy bangs covering his eyes.Ā āI, um⦠Can I⦠stay with you?ā His voice was barely audible and he hated how small he felt. But this castle was gigantic and he felt a lot safer with a familiar adult around.
Stardust always felt a touch of nerves when talking to students. Maybe it was because even for wizarding standards, the professor was a bit strange. Their ethics, their conduct, the way they carried themselves. It made him all the more nervous when they questioned the things that came from his mouth.
Of course, in his brief knowledge of this particular student -- Hoseok, was it? Something to do with moons. Stardust really did like that name-- they knew that the other was maybe just as nervous. The stutters and the quiet nature very much the stuff of Stardust's childhood.Ā
There was an understanding there.Ā
"Ah yes, the paintings. I was chatting away with them and totally forgot that they love to cause trouble-- such pains." Long fingers went to massage the point between their brows -- their third eye -- as they glanced back at the shifting pictures in questions.Ā
The years spent in Romania with brutish types had taught Star of a much more vulgar vernacular, and though they rarely ever verbalized such things, their mind was rife with curses and swears in the paintings direction.
But...
Was it all so terrible if it meant that they could help this student out of the same situation?
Though the paintings thought they were clever for changing which frame they resided in, Stardust tried to remember just what frames came in what order. "There are varying levels of being lost, yes. Though I don't think either of us are very high up on the scale, hang on." A hand quickly darted out to wrap carefully around the student's wrist. A motion that was both thoughtless and thoughtful. They hadn't thought about what it would look like to share any sort of physical contact with someone else, as they were generally a touchy person by nature, but they'd also conditioned themselves to also be gentle when they did. Fingers applying little to no pressure as they began to lead the student down the corridor the teacher had so stupidly ambled down.
The paintings whispered.
"I think this should take us towards the common rooms. I'm not entirely sure, but if we really get terribly lost I'm sure we'll come across someone who knows how to get us out of this mess-- not to worry, Hoseok."
beetiful and specstacular

To say that he is lost is an understatement. Barely a day into being away from the school thatās his second home, Hoseok hasnāt had much time to adjust to the gigantic castle that makes up Hogwarts. Itās not like Ilvermorny is any smaller, but the unfamiliarity really causes his anxiety levels to rise. Brown eyes are wide as heās trying to look for any signs (not that he expects there to be any, but a boy can hope), until he rounds a corner and barely manages to avoid walking into another person.Ā āS-Sorryāā He stammers, despite no harm being done. The brunet licks his lips and nervously tugs at his sleeve.Ā āIām, uh⦠I think Iām a bit lost. Technically. Because I guess I was, ah⦠ex-exploring. Umā¦ā He awkwardly trails off, unable to look the other in the eye.Ā āDoā Do they sell maps or some-something?ā
Stardust wasnāt exactly sure where they had gone. One moment they were moving about the corridors, chatting excitedly with the paintings that lined the walls, the next they were stumbling backward, confusion painting their generally carefree features. The halls were largeāvastāand it amazed Star that one could manage to walk into another person when there was so much space to roam. And yet, of course, it would happen.
As their attention finally shifted from their thoughts, Star quickly allowed their hands to stroke down the dark material of their button up shirt, hoping that it hadnāt creased too much. Normally the professor wouldnāt care a bit, but this was a new place filled with new people and it did cause a touch of anxiety to nudge at their lean frame.
It dawned that he had come into contact with an Ilvermorny student, one who maybe was just as lost as the older. A frown formedānot at the student, but at the situation. How was one supposed to help when they themselves were at a standstill. āIām not sureāhow lost are you? Maybe we could ask one of the paintings? Though Iām sure they might be the reason Iām lost myself.ā He spoke calmly as he glanced around, looking for anything that might tell them where to go. Ā

Maybe cold weather wasnāt Stardustās favorite.
And maybe it was a pain because they were forced to wear shoes.
But the snow was pretty.
As the redhead walked along the sidewalk, bundled under the thick layers of earth-toned scarves and cardigans, they couldnāt help the general fascination they had with the ice that clung to everything. The crunch beneath their shoes. The way it stuck to long lashes. In the corner of their eye, Star could just make out the details of a flake that had clung to his lid. It amazed the seer how something so small could hold so many little detailsāhow they could go unnoticed.
They felt a touch bad for the snowflakes that their heavy boots crushed beneath them. The ones that their breath melted.
As if they were not in the middle of the sidewalk, promptly in the center of the city, Stardust lowered themselves to the ground. They rested on black tights-clad knees. The snow stung through the material but they paid no attention as sun-kissed hands reached into the white fluff, balling it up in their hands.
āItās so pretty.ā They breathed, the words turning to a mist as they did.
The sun had not yet settled beneath the buildings and Star couldnāt resist the urge to hold the mass of glittering ice up so that it could catch the light.
It had been too long since Stardust had felt this sense of wonder when in the cold.
Had Stardust been anyone else they would have worried that they looked silly crouched this way in such a public place, others brushing past him as if he wasnāt there at all, but Star had long since stopped caring what wandering eyes thought of him. At this point in their life, it was hard to come by things that really, truly, genuinely, brought a smile to the fortune tellers face. Of course, they always wore one, but they often became stale and hard to keep up.
But the snow, no matter how much Stardust hated when the weather moved from the pleasant warmth of the summer to the deadly chill of the winter, brought a slight smile to the chilled features.
As they held the Snow up in such a way that mirrored a particular scene in The Lion King, they noticed that something had begun to block the light that had once been making the shards of ice reflect little rainbows into Stardustās vision.
A pout.
They dropped their arms, the ball of snow passing through their fingers and connecting with the ground.
āYouāre blocking the sun,ā A huff as well-tamed brows knit together.
wyelijahā:
He listened closely to his friend, remaining quiet as they spoke, the only sound he made came from the car as he turned it on. The systematic beeping greeted the pair as he slid on his seatbelt. Dark huesĀ focused on the other with piqued interest as they spoke about their dietary habits - something Elijah was actually quite happy to know. After all, if the male was going to cook meals for the other he needed to know what agreed with them or not. God forbid they got Star sick from their cooking simply because of an item in the mix.,Ā āIāll have to remember that for all the times I cook for you, no need to make something you cannot eat.Ā ā A warm smile spread across his lips, though Elijah had a streak of rage from time to time he was still rather warm when he wanted to. The question threw him off guard, honestly, he hadnāt thought too much about his days in that tiny apartment.Ā āYou can drop theĀ āssiā, Star, weāre friends now.ā A chuckle falls from the male as he puts the car in drive.Ā āWell - my time there wasnāt the greatest.ā He paused, shrugging a bit remembering how crowded it was and his reasoning for being there.Ā āBut it was an experienceĀ I hold in my mind, as a reminder of where I come from.ā He ended his flashback there, not wanting to relive the event that lead him to daegu.Ā
āWell - maybe I could help you with a space to work out of. Maybe I could help you um, secure a location until you get enough people coming for your services.ā he paused, looking around the street to make sure he was good to turn.Ā āThen once you start supporting yourself Iāll pull out and then youāll have your very own operation.ā A smile spread to his features at the idea of his friend doing well.Ā āIf you need transportation I can help you there too.ā
His eyes caught the blush on the maleās features.Ā āWell if you do not want to have some you donāt but ā Iām not much of a drinker so it goes to waste mostly.ā A simple shrug followed, the male vowed to himself not to drink like his father did so he only took part in a drink or toĀ from time to time.Ā āI could make juice or something too - anything you want.ā
Large, overly accessorized hands rested on their knees as Star attempted to get comfortable in the car. This happened each time they found themselves in one of these contraptionsāthey felt too cramped and just a touch anxious. The red-head wasnāt fond of them and had never even bothered learning how to drive as they saw little reason to pollute the planet further with emissions. But⦠they also understood that for some people they were necessary. So, they kept their mouth closed.
They caught their lower lip between their teeth as they listened to other speak, head cocking to the side just a touch. A small shake of their head as their mind began to wander. It was inappropriate to read people when they opened up. Stardust had rules about when they were allowed to use their abilities and it certainly wasnāt with friends. Eli had never pressed Star for information about their own life and Star made a point to keep themselves from delving too far into the other. It was a respect thing, more than anything. āWell, youāre a pretty good person, you know? So, maybe the experience was worth itānot that Iām saying you deserve to have a hard time, just sometimes hard times are good for keeping us kind and humble. If⦠that makes any sense.ā Star felt their bashful nature overwhelming them. Though they loved to talk and often did it just a tad too much, it didnāt mean that they were particularly skilled at it. Ā They often found their own words becoming just a tad muddled and hard to follow at times, so they hated to think how they must sound to others when they got that way.
Ever affectionate in nature, however, Stardust reached over to pat their friendās cheek lightly. āYou donāt have to do anything to help me, you know. I really appreciate it, but Iāve always been a bit on my own and independent.ā As their touch pulled back, Star couldnāt help the way a soft smile tugged over their features. How had they managed such a kind friend? āBut⦠if you really do want to set up shop or help me, that would be really nice. A lot of people tend to get the wrong idea when I invite them to my house.ā Yet another bright red blush painted their features at the thought. How many times had people questioned Starās intentions when they had only believed their words to be purely innocent?
āI think itās kind of silly that they think Iām asking them to doā¦that. I mean, Iāve never evenāWhy would they think that I wanted that?ā They were voicing their inner confusion more than anything.
A shake of their head.
āno, no⦠ah, Iāve never drank before. I find that Iām kind of⦠behind on a lot of these things lately. Maybe just one drink so that I can say I at least tried, yeah?ā
