on fuck bots

eh, so i was thinking about that for a long time and now i m drunk enough to vent; so, i really, really can not get behind the idea of super sophisticated conscious perfectly human-like fuck robots. 

so i have read a bunch of spoilers about that westworld show - haven’t watched it yet, probably will not, but it seemed to have turned out that everybody there is a robot or something. i also have seen that blade runner movie and have read the novel it was based upon, where there are androids that emulate humans so perfectly that they must be DESTROYED (eh?), and some of those androids do not even know they are not humans, what a sick twist, huh!

so what i wonder is why, exactly, do we need those perfect human replicas?

well, we do not, there are seven billion of us already and moreover human shaped fuck bots do exist already and while they do fall in that uncanny valley so do their consumers, who are humans to be sure. those creepy dudes do want their sex dolls  to be more human like, but science and technology do not exactly work to achieve that very specific goal, and why would they? i mean sure they are working on AI, but it seems now that AI is not going to emulate human kind of intelligence for couple of reasons, like we do not really know in every detail how human mind works so we can not replicate it, and we can not replicate all the specific circumstances that made human mind what it is now so artificial intelligence is going to be vastly different from our own, just because.

and then there are those android bodies, that perfectly emulate human bodies, human physical reactions to various stimuli etc. well that one is also not exactly realistic. we humans see every tiny detail about other humans, so the machinery would have to be really really really sophisticated, and for what - for a fuck bot or for a confused reality show actor?  i mean sure there is a niche for everything, but i really see no potential for a mass production of that kind of super advanced but useless tech. if we are talking about future that still has currency i m pretty sure that humans would pay more money for space tourism  and super enhanced virtual reality, than for fuck bots to make it an industry. plus i m pretty sure that in grim darkness of the far future there will be some kind of robo-ethics and various laws based on it, that probably will prohibit inappropriate conduct toward living beings, be they artificial ones. 

also couple of words on lieutenant commander Data: while i like him a fucking lot like so many other gals out there, i, again, really do not get that desire to become human. yeah sure his human daddy programmed him to want to become “more”, and in Data’s case “more” was “more human”, ok, get it, but really the whole thing of trek creators writing that kind of character is suuuch a case of suuuuch a typically human arrogance, geez. like there is that being that is perfect in every way and that is very humanoid but is already kinda so much more than just a human, but hey that being would totally be fanboying for humans and wanting to become one of them. yeah.
