Gender, for me, is honestly so fucking weird....like..I’m not a man, but I’m not a woman either. And I’m definitely NOT a girl. But boy...boy hits diffrent.
And then there’s different kind of boy...
like
Goblin boy who loves nature and constantly has twigs and leaves in his hair
Fairy kei boy who loves Disney and Sanrio and pink and is always covered in glitter
Royal boy aka prince who loves blue and silver and moon and stars
Dr. Spencer Reid, but boy not man, who loves books and libraries and sweater vests
Cottage witch boy who’s favorite color is yellow and maxi skirts are a literal gift from the gods
My gender is most definitely “boy” but it’s like boy+
Boy..but a bit extra..a bit flashy..a bit “too much” for alot of people
how is this man literally pure gender
“Dr. Spencer Reid Gender Envy” is SUCH A MOOD!!!
You’ll figured out 🌸
"But you were born as a girl..."
No, I was born as a person with female anatomy. You decided that that meant that I was a girl, but that was incorrect.

Peter Darling by Austin Chant
A queer reimagining of Peter Pan in which Peter and Wendy are the same person, a trans boy who ran away to Neverland and discovered his true self. Now, years after he left Neverland, and after years trying to be Wendy, he’s returned. Older, but no less brash, he finds Neverland different than he left it. The island and its people have changed without him; childhood games carry more weight, and childhood rivalries might just be a cover for more grown-up emotions.
Any review I write of this book is bound to be extremely biased. Peter Pan is one of my favorite stories of all time. It’s the Disney film I watched on repeat. I collect old editions of the book. I saw a Broadway revival with Cathy Rigby and cried.
I’m also queer. 5-year-old me took one look at Peter and Neverland, and felt a lot of very strong baby queer feelings - gender envy mostly - though I didn’t understand it at the time.
Reading this book brought back a lot of those feelings. I saw myself in Peter in a way I haven’t since I was a child. I’ve read other Peter Pan sequels, but in this book I felt my own experience as a queer fan acknowledged and validated. And it painted my whole experience with beautiful nostalgia.
Of course I found the story to be engaging as well. Empowering and heartbreaking in turns as Peter struggles with his identity and his place in this new Neverland. And who doesn’t love a good enemies-to-lovers plotline?
I desperately need to read this
gotta love dysphoria when it goes like
dysphoria: hey d'you want a list of everything that's too feminine about you
me: no i don't think i do, actually, i-
dysphoria: ok let's start with your face. terrible. that chin? too soft. hair? sure it's short, but it's like- girl short, y'know? oh, and don't even start on the chest. and those legs? feminine. and have you even heard yourself talk? honestly, i could go on for days-
me, tired: no, please don't
I've got PCOS, so like, I KNOW my body is stereotypically feminine, but this still happens so often and I can never tell if it's true of if it's just my brain....
Hey, I'm Fletcher he/they) and I started this blog to help with my really dysphoric days. I'm genderqueer, and recently I've been feeling masc quite a lot, but even tho I pass pretty well (most of the time) I'm struggling with a lot of dysphoria and dysmorphia issues. I'm 5ft2, 317 lbs and I feel like my hips and breasts give me away literally any time I try to present as androgynous or masculine. I know gender isn't about how you look, but I've always been hyper feminine (a lot of that was related to trauma) and I just can't see myself as actually passing as masculine. I don't want to go on T or get any sort of surgery except maybe top surgery. Things are just hard right now, and I feel like connecting with people who understand would really help me out.
gender is not about how you look, it's about who you are
"The second star to the right
Shines in the night for you
To tell you that the dreams you plan
Really can come true
The second star to the right
Shines with a light that's rare
And if it's Never Land you need
It's light will lead you there
Twinkle, twinkle little star
So I'll know where you are
Gleaming in the skies above
Lead me to the land we dream of
And when our journey is through
Each time we say "Goodnight"
We'll thank the little star that shines
The second from the right"
Did any other afab masc identifying people have an obsession with the song lost boy by Ruth B. or was it just me?
That obsession is still going strong my friend
