I actually think there's a real benefit to inconsequential complaints about totally inconsequential things, in a climate where combating the real global danger to your community is a real necessity.

Ashkenazim really came through when they provided the word kvetch. It's such a useful word. Kvetching about silly things feels necessary to keep my sanity.
