Its been so long, so far from the last time i had seen my family. My home.
I'd missed them so much that just the mere thought of their faces we keeping me going. But its to late to turn back now. I won't.
Ever since escaping the attack on home tree i feel if i even try to go back now i'd put everyone at risk. Knowing it was my fault.
I could have stopped it or at least tried. And maybe so many lives wouldn't have been lost.
I couldn't show my face there. not any time soon, maybe never again. He will never forgive me.

{Leyla}
''Stop touching my stuff Loak!'' Kiri shouted from across the tent, quickly emptying a large basket. ''Where did you put my knife, why did you take it.'' She yelled again her voice slightly straining. ''And what makes you think i took it?!" Loak huffed back, as he avoids your eyes noticing it next to you.
You couldn't help but follow his eyes you also noticing, but in doing that that made Kiri snap her head at you. finally looking back at her you hold it up Infront of your face, ''oh this must be yours.'' you say handing it to her.
''Now why do you need it?'' she scoffs, ''oh sorry Kiri, i didn't know it was yours-'' she gets up and grabs it out of your hands and storming out the tent. You turn to Loak seeing if he noticed her low mood, but he just walked out.
You almost instantly follow her out, you catching up to her first.
''Kiri?'' you muttered , ''Are you alright? Why do you need a knife for exactly?'' you say raising your eyebrows trying to start conversation.
"Yes, It's fine.. sorry for snapping Leyla." She says turning away from you. ''I just needed to cut this thing that was stuck to Tuk's top.'' She says as she proceeds to walk away but you don't follow her just standing there in defeat wondering what your doing wrong, letting out a sigh as loak pushes past you to go after her.
You have just been welcomed by the Omaticaya clan being there nearly 5 days now after asking for uturu. Mo'at feeling for you, offers you to stay in the village. The Sully's volunteering to take you under their care. Their family.
Your clan had banished you after your mother died. You didn't know why or how, no one in your clan told you anything not a word, you barely got to say goodbye. Forcing you out with no reasoning, making your heart pale with the loss of everything you loved.
But you didn't tell the Sully's the full story you didn't even know the full story yourself so how could you. You've only told them that you were needing a home because and your clan had abandoned you. It was the only thing you could think of, even though it was true you still felt bad about lying.
That was enough for Neytiri. Welcoming you and putting you under her wing, making sure you had a bed to sleep in and a support system for you. The rest of the Sully's were somewhat welcoming. Jake was nice always made sure you didn't feel left out if the clan had an event or even if he was just doing work around the camp.
But in the first couple of days you there few, Jake had gotten wind of some RDA in the area, you offered to help telling him you had a good background in hunting skills, your father teaching you young. "Your age should never indicate how much you can defend yourself from danger." His words briefly repeating in the back of your head.
Jake, not wanting you to get hurt or worse. Instead he gave you the task of cleaning and re-loading his weapons, since you offered you help to him. You agreed, following him into a different tent, filled with black metal crates and baskets. He said you didn't have to unsure if you were okay touching the sky peoples metal.
You assured Jake, telling him you had done stuff like this in the past. A flicker of shock went across his face. "Really?" he said truly surprised at your words "Didn't expect that from you." He Nodding you head, taking a heavy grey and black assault rifle from a box marked "reload". You clock it to the side seeing it's empty clip, turning on the safety and removing it. Looking into the same box you spot a small pack of full ones, you taking one removing the plastic cover and clicking the new clip into place, happy with your work you hand the gun back to Jake.
Jake's mouth nearly on the floor you let out a small laugh. "where did you learn to do that?" he askes astonishingly, but keeping his manor.
"Oh, uh.." stuttering not knowing what to say. "My father did, he thought it was important for me to know how to guard myself.. no matters who's weapons." you say looking back to Jake nodding his head.
"You need every weapon to win a war." you add, catching Jakes attention. "Yes, that's exactly right." he states back to you.
But he could tell that you weren't telling them everything but, he didn't want ask incase of pushing boundaries since you just got there. You can't really read him.
Back to the kids, they didn't really try to get close to you, for reasons of not trusting you as you had showed up in the middle of the night without much explanation, and other reasons your not really sure about.
But, Neteyam seems nice he helps with your cooking sometimes but he hasn't really talked to you, nothing personal, which you understood. But something you can't quite understand, every time you are around Neteyam, Loak just glares at you. You pretend not to notice it,
But it's there. He's always there. You just don't know why.
Even so, Loak, had avoided you nearly the entirety of your arrival. He'd only said a handful of words since you had been staying. Nothing exciting either. Just the basics. "ok" , "mhm" , "excuse me" "foods is ready" rushed fraises. You weren't gonna say anything, you didn't really have the heart to yet.
Ever since he saw you the first night you were here. Not anything, which makes you feel quite foolish because you had found him quite attractive. You wanted to ask him about himself, especially about his wounds you had noticed the moment you saw him but every time you try to talk to him, he quickly leaves. Does he know something you don't.
But Tuk. she loves you, always playing with your hair and picking flowers in the forest with you, sometimes she would even sleep next to you, as at nighttime she hears you softly cry, as much as you try to keep quiet she is always there. The only one that hears you.
But being in this place. A place where you have no one you cares deeply enough for you about your worries, to talk about your family or anything at this point. And the fact that is a new clan with different routines and stories you try so hard to get used to. But every day feels like another of slowly losing your self.
But you have to keep going. You must.
Watching Kiri and Loak slowly disappear down the tree, you turn back quickly to go back into the tent you when you accidently run into Neteyam. ''oh! Lelya!'' He says taken a back by the sudden collision, as the basket he was holding fell from his arms to the ground.
''Oh I'm so sorry Neteyam! i didn't se-'' he cuts you off, ''Its okay Lelya." brushing himself off. "Happens to the best of us, are you okay?'' You step back slightly crouching down to pick up the basket for him.
''Yes I'm alright, I'm sorry again i was somewhere else.'' you say letting out a breath. But before he could answer you hear a voice in the clear distance calling out for Neteyam. It's Loak.
You both stand up, handing the basket back to Neteyam, him giving you a thankful nod and brushing past you. You hear them chattering behind you. Not bothered trying to make yourself a part of their conversation, you faintly hear them talking about Kiri.
You sigh to yourself as you continue walking to the tent, standing in the door way for a moment before stepping inside.
But as soon as you go to lay down, your breathing starts picking up pace. "Not again." You mutter to yourself placing a hand on your chest. But then quickly Loak bumps past you, making you loose your balance. You fall to the ground.
The wince you make landing on your wrist makes Loak turn around quickly. Your eyes meeting swiftly before he realizing his doing, he also notices your rapid breathing. Loak briskly lowers to his knees. "Shit, I'm sorry Leyla." offering his hand to you.
He helps you too your feet. Still ahold of your hand. Your heart skipping a beat. "A-are you okay?" He asks with guilt in his voice. Your eyes interlocked with each other, a sudden tight feeling in the air.
"Yes, I'm okay." You take a small pause noticing his breathing also quickening. "Thank you, Loak." Giving him an accepting smile. His hand still giving your body support. "I'm sorry Leyla, really. I wasn't paying attention."
"Loak." you say gently "It's okay, I promise." You insist. A internal smile falls over him.
You take in his observance, every second. You register you had never been this close to him. Close enough to feel his breath pass you. A gap within reach of very little. A warmth flowing through your face making yourself break eye contact.
Loak suddenly closing himself of once again. He removes his hand from yours, making his warm touch fade away quickly. He quietly mutters another apology, abruptly leaving the tent in a hurry.
What had felt like hours, but was really only a few minutes. You question yourself, your stomach doing backflips. A new chemistry you didn't think could ever form. You couldn't have been the only one feeling it.
You close your eyes for a moment before turning to go back outside. You start walking past the camp wondering where to go you don't know, you just want to be alone with these newly developed thoughts rushing through you head.
As your stepping down past the village, seeing the sunset start to lower behind the trees, beams of light cracking thought the leaves in front of you. A sense of quiet settling peace over taking you as you stand examining the lush orange and pink sky, feeling the cool wind against you face.
But before you can take another step, someone grabs you by your wrist making your body jolt back, slightly scaring you. You turn your head around to see Loak. His chest raising and falling quickly like he'd been running.
He just stares at you his eyes scanning yours. Looking into your eyes with intention of telling something, a moment goes by before he finally lowers his eyes to the ground letting go of your wrist.
You also snap out of what ever that was, finally breaking the silence, ''yes, Loak?'' You say maintaining your gaze up at him.
''Dinners ready.'' He mutters in a breathy voice. You nod your head expecting something more but he turns around quickly walking back into the lightly lit interspace of home tree.
What.. was that..? This whole day being a tsunami of interactions you did not envision happening. You think to your self for a short while starting to make your way back to camp, you shake off the anxiety covering you skin, after remembering the first night you spent here.
-
You had just been welcomed by Jake and Neytiri. Neytiri quickly pulling you in from the dark raining night, Jake handing you a woven shawl he pulled out of a basket.
You hadn't even been there an hour when Jake and Neytiri were conversing outside, you sit there wondering if you made a mistake coming here, when a figure walks in. As you sit up from laying down, your blurry eyes squint adjust you see it's Loak. The Sully's youngest son.
After seeing you wrapped in his a hammock, you sit up quickly to introduce yourself but before you could he freezes, you do too. Reading You top to bottom, like he'd just seen a ghost. He just stood there. Holding his forearm that was covered in bandage. His face covered in small cuts and grazes. He didn't say anything, not one word.
He looked at you like he needed to say something but couldn't. You didn't say anything either, trying to from something to say your mind blank. But oddly you find something familiar about him. You both stood there, your breath caught, making his gaze cut away from your eyes.
He slightly flinched, letting out a small breath before he leaves the tent back into the rain. You release your breath you didn't know you were holding. Your mind questioning everything that just occurred.
Your mind snaps back to reality just as you see Neytiri approaching you, without having to say anything see instantly notices your tense.
She places a hand on your shoulder before asking if you are alright, you look up at her with tears forming in your eyes, and without another word, she brings you into a comforting hug.
''It's okay ma yawntu.'' She says softly. You start to lightly feel you throat catch tears quickly running down you cheeks. You glance up at her saying with a shaken tone, ''i miss my hom-'' your voice breaks.
She comforts you. ''I know Leyla, but as long as long as the Omatikaya people live you will always have a home to come to.'' Unhooking her arms from around you and pushing some your loose hair behind your ear, you feel a slight tug at your loincloth.
Looking down wiping your puffy eyes you see Tuk holding a big pink and blue flower she looks up at you holding her hand out, Neytiri now letting you go, faintly smiling. You crouch down, softly taking hold of the flower.
As you take it the fragrance fills your nose making your face light up. Tuk says with a big happy smile, ''Your favorite colors to match the ones in your hair!'' A light chuckle escapes your chest. ''I love it Tuk, irayo.'' you say warmth returning to your heart.
You reach into your messy braid pulling out a small pink flower, placing it above her ear, ''see, now we match.'' She lets out a small giggle before jumping into your arms. Neytiri also letting out a light laugh.
In this moment, you had forgotten about the worries you had before hand, you look at your surroundings noticing the light glow of the forest around you, the refreshing smell of rain. Trying to keep a hold of this new memory for as long as you could.
As you take in the memorable atmosphere around your gaze brushes through the large tent, in doing that you find Loak. He's near the back of the tent, Neteyam sitting beside him talking to him about something. Your eyes lock slowing down time, not paying attention whatever Neteyam was saying, he studies you. All of you. A hint warmth in his eyes, a warmth you had never seen before, especially from him. He slightly lowered his head, his eyes still on you. 𝙊𝙣𝙡𝙮 𝙮𝙤𝙪.

{Day before Leyla arrived}
{Loak}
''Hurry up baby bro.'' Neteyam exclaims before jumping firmly from the branch to the ground. ''Where are you taking me you skxawng, we've been walking forever.'' Loak saying while pulling on Neteyam's tail.
''Stop that'' he yells ''Be patient, just don't tell dad or he'll skin us both.'' He chuckles.
''I didn't know you could actually be fun.'' Loak snaps back in a sarcastic tone. Neteyam turning his head back before motioning him to get down. Loak confused asks ''What is it?'' ''bro?'' Neteyam putting his index finger to his mouth, ''Shh, shut up.''
Loak rolling his eyes, looking at Neteyam in an annoyed manor. Loak opens his mouth to say something before a loud roar from in front of them make both their heads snap around, quickly lower their body's behind a fallen tree.
Neteyam looking over at loak before saying in a whisper, ''Look.'' Loak a bit spooked peaks his head over the mossy log before seeing a young thanator.
In shock he quickly ducks his head back down grabbing Neteyam's shoulder, ''Are you crazy?!''
Neteyam quietly chuckling ''oh come on you said you wanted to see one, there's a nest near here, plus its just a small one.'' loak letting out a laugh. ''Just don't get seen bro, okay?''
"Yeah, yeah." Loak taunting Neteyam turning his head and ducking down. "I got to say, this is pretty cool." Loak adds before peering over the log again with now a grin on his face, just to find the thanator is no where to be seen.
In disbelief he quickly darts his eyes around the surrounding forest before pushing himself down shaking Neteyam's arm.
''Uh bro. where'd it go...'' Loak nips trying to be quiet.
"What, its near the-'' he says looking up over the log, his expression drops ''Pxasik! ...just.. be still.'' Neteyam raising his hand between them motioning not to move.
They both instantly freeze, now holding their breath and crouching low to the ground. Their eyes and ears franticly trying to pin point It's location. Nothing.
"We should get out of here.'' "Now.'' Neteyam whispers. They both stand up slowly and cautiously, but before they could take another step the thanator jumps out from the trees vine above
Neteyam and Loak reacting quickly, dropping to the ground before they both shot up in unison, ''RUN!'' Neteyam screams. They both dart off in different directions.
The thanator Quickly following Loaks path.
As Loak books it into a big tree hiding within it's large exposed roots, the thanator slowing down and thrashing It's claws at the wood quickly snapping and finding its way through.
Loak with his heart beating out his chest, his breath quick and heavy. In no way of defending himself no bow, not even a knife. He weaves his way through the roots coming out the other side and trying to find himself an escape, anything at all.
Now finding himself cornered his eyes darting around for anything he can use, the thanator slowing its growling as it faces him, Loak with nothing else takes a deep breath in before bawling up his fists, letting out a hiss trying to make himself threatening.
Loak now ready to do anything to survive at this point, the thanator slowly closing the gap.
His ears going back, his chest tight, blood dripping from his head blurring his vision.
His faze making him slightly light headed, subsequently, an unexpected yip came from the trees above making Loak's eats pin back, the thanator's attention promptly breaking from him. Now turning its self away. Loak seeing this opportunity he spirals himself around to hide, climbing over a tall mossy vine.
Arrows start to rain down from the vines above in shock Loak looks up to see the figure of a na'vi woman, swinging down and hissing at the creature, her back toward him. His eyes stinging from the sweat and blood clouding his sight.
Her arrows splitting into the thanator's skin making it wince loudly, her hisses and yelps echoing, the aroma of the once still environment filling the thick forest air as Loak watches her from behind, stunned... but also in awe?
But taking a second, Loak panting heavy, he looks down to see a great gash through his arm warm blood trickling down his arm and dripping on his legs. He lets out a sharp breath before tearing part of his loincloth to wrap around it. He tries to focus, closing his eyes briefly, then placing a hand on his stomach, and slowing his breathing.
He opens his eyes, coming to his senses he peers back over to the na'vi, she pulls back her bow releasing a final arrow landing it self in right the thanator's weak spot. The creature in defeat falls to its side whining in pain.
She takes a moment and places her bow down, walking over slowly but cautiously, lowering herself next to the thanator placing a resting hand on the animals chest. Her slow and calculated movements, slowly pulling out a knife from a slip on her chest guard.
Loak still observing from afar, watching closely trying to make out her face but she still has her back to him.
He listens to her soft voice, I see you, sister, and thank you. Your spirit goes with Eywa, your body stays behind to become part of the People." she remarks to the thanator thanking it. Before putting it out of its misery.
The now cold body of the creature goes limp, she removes the knife slightly twisting it, wiping the bright blood across the side of her loin cloth.
In watching all of this, Loak is genuinely mesmerized by her hunting skills and how respectful she is to the animals of the forest.
After putting the knife back into her chest guard, she turns to face where she had seen him standing, but he ducks his head down in time so she doesn't see him.
''You should thank her.'' he thinks to himself but yet, he stays stationary, to in shock and kind of embarrassed he didn't even try to help, so he stays hidden.
He hears her footsteps walk around the fallen leaves on the ground.
''Hm.'' he hears her say to herself. A few more moments go by trying to up his courage, ''thank her Loak.'' he thinks again, but as he finally reveals himself from behind the vine..
She's gone. He looks around franticly running to the middle of where the thanator's body is. "What if that was your only chance.." He thinks to himself. Loak now annoyed at his actions runs a hand over his face.
As he's looking up through his hands he notices the sun is about to sink into the horizon. ''Shit.'' he mutters to himself. In all of this commotion at least 2-3 hours had past.
Loak now in the now empty forest the sky slowly darkening he looks around and starts to go try find his way back. He glanced over the way he had run from the thanator. He sighs to himself before taking hold of his injured arm and starts walking.
Loak had walked for nearly 45 minutes until he hears a voice, lots of voices. As he come closer to the shouting he recognizes the voices. It's Neteyam, Kiri and his mum.
They are shouting his name. ''LOAK!.. LOAK WHERE ARE YOU?'' The voices becoming more clear.
He speeds up his steps finally emerging from the forest.
"Oh my goodness Loak, where have you been.'' Looking at him and seeing his arm. ''Are you hurt?" Neytiri exclaims while taking a hold of his forearm and moving his braids to show the cuts up his face.
''Loak. what happened tell me.'' she sterns her voice, as he's about to speak he sees Neteyam appears from behind Neytiri approaching Loak with an apologetic expression across his face.
He starts to speak. "Are you okay bro" taking a breath, "I'm so sorry i tried to look for you but-'' Neteyam gets cut off by a voice approaching from the distance. It's Jake.
Neteyam looks back at Loak with worry in his eyes, knowing how this will turn out.
Loak sighs dropping his head scanning at his cut up feet.
Looking up, Jake now in front if him and Neteyam. A cold stare splitting into them both.
Jake looking at both of them placing his lips together and raising his eyebrows waiting for one of them to speak.
Neteyam starts, "sir, I'm-" Loak cuts him off, Neteyam giving him a look, Loak giving him a soft nod back. "It was my fault sir.'' Loak says with doubt in his voice. "What were you thinking.'' Jake cutting his words into him. "You could have gotten yourselves killed." He exclaims a vein starting to show from his neck.
"Ma Jake-" Neytiri slightly raisng her hands, trying to calm him down but he doesn't remove his stabbing gaze from Loak.
"I'm sorry sir, i had seen a thanator nest and wanted to see one. Neteyam tried to talk me out of it but, i didn't listen, I'm sorry." Loak admits, "But.." he tries to say something else but Jake holds his hand up, not wanting to hear anything else.
"Come on.'' Kiri finally breaking the silence, takes Loak's hand and pulling him away before jake says something he'll regret. "Lets get you cleaned up." she adds.
As Loak and Kiri start walking toward the village, Neteyam follows.
Neytiri watching them walk away, Jake starting to follow. She grabs Jake's hand. "Ma jake'' she pauses, waiting for jake to face her.
Jake stopping in his path, he turns around, slowly meeting her watery eyes.
"Jake, why are you so hard on him.'' she asks sincerely.
"I'm his father, its my job." he says back coldly.
Jake turns away from her.
"Jake." She sharpens her voice. "Did you not care to notice that Loak was the only one withs cuts all up his body?" She says making him face her.
"How he was the only one actually bleeding.'' She remarks trying to prove her point.
Jake, finally looking into her eyes. But now with regret in his. Neytiri mutters something in na'vi under her breath.
"Your job is to protect them, make them feel safe. And loved, not make them feel like they can't talk to us." she pauses. "Especially when they are hurting." Jakes eyes now getting teary but wiping them quickly. "This.. is a 𝙛𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙡𝙮." She mutters softly, her voice slightly breaking.
"I know baby." Jake says with a shaky voice before letting go of Neytiri's hand and going back to the village.
Back at the hometree Kiri and Loak head into their tent, Kiri instructing Loak to sit. Neteyam follows them inside.
''Why did you take the blame you skxawng." he asks sitting across him.
Loak winces as Kiri starts to cleans the big cut across his arm. "Because bro, don't wanna mess up your reputation.'' he replies sarcastically. Kiri lightly slapping his hand "stop moving or you can do this yourself." She says annoyingly picking up more herbs to wrap around him.
Neteyam scoffs rolling his eyes and standing up. "Why are you joking around." he says spitefully, "i thought you had died." his voice cracking slightly.
"Bro hey.. look." Loak stands up putting a hand on top of Neteyam's head, "I'm fine, Okay?" Loak putting his own hand across his chest. "See?" letting out a short breath.
"It will take a lot more than a baby thanator to take me down." He adds letting out a breathy laugh. "...Besides i had help." Loak mentioning casually.
Neteyam nods but then a confused look goes across his face, "Help?" he asks. Kiri also confused.
Loak nodding back, "yeah this na'vi took it down, pretty well too." He says with a smile appearing across his face.
"Damn, did you thank them?'' Neteyam asking genuinely. "I tried." Loak stating. "..but no, i didn't she left before i could i didn't even see her face." Loak adds starting to grin.
"She..?'' Neteyam asking shocked. "Hey! Na'vi women are the finest warriors. Have you met our mother!?" Kiri remarking to Neteyam before lightly hitting him across the head with the back of her hand.
"Ow! I didn't mean it like that." Neteyam yelps rubbing his head with his hand. "I just mean, baby bro could definitely not take on a thanator by himself without any weapons.. it's very good you had help though." Neteyam adds defending himself, then softly bumping Loak with his elbow after seeing Loak's expression.
"𝙨𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙖𝙫𝙚𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙚." Kiri states. The words repeating in Loak's head after she notes them to him, "Yeah.. she did." He expresses a smile growing across his face.
"..Well, was she your age? Do you think?" Kiri adds seeing Neteyam's smirk. "I think so, her voice sounded around our age, but again i didn't see her face but I'm pretty sure she had small flowers in her hair or maybe feathers." Loak said while thinking to himself.
"Her voice huh." Neteyam said biting his words, "Well I'm sure you will come across her at some point if we hunt in the same forest, then you can thank her." Kiri states calmly.
Loak nods while slowly getting up and setting foot outside the tent hearing Kiri and Neteyam start to chatter to each other, the soft saturation of blood coming though the cloth around his arm. As he's walking outside he see's Jake coming up the hill. Loak getting angry all over again, but he keeps his calm.
"Loak.." Jake pauses and thinks, his mind snapping back to his roots. "No flying for a week, and you help your siblings with their chores in the morning." Loak getting a wave of disappointment over his body. Still not looking at Jake, Loak nods "Yes dad-" he pauses. "Yes sir." before walking away.
As Loak distances himself from his family, walking to his spot, a big cliff near home tree over-looking the dark but colorful forest. Lowering himself to sit, wincing from the pain of his wounds, finally some peace, he thinks to himself letting out a long sigh.
An hour or so goes by, Loak repeating the na'vi woman's voice. It's all he could think about. Her soft and comforting voice in a environment of such peril and pain, but she made it all go away.
While Loak was in his thoughts, it started to rain. The heavy and sharp water droplets speeding up, falling fast against his skin. With a long breath, Loak gets up and proceeds to make his way back to camp. Loak now soaking wet and sore, he just wanted to go to sleep, to close his eyes and forget about today. About her.
As he came to and stood up his body aching with every small movement he groans but starts to trudge his way back to the village. Arriving, he over heard a group of voices outside the family tent, Loak stood there observing his mum and dad with concerned looks spread across their faces, remarking back and forth between each other. Loak already exhausted just continued past them.
To focused in their conversation, Neytiri and Jake didn't notice Loak walk past them. He stops, looking for his siblings, seeing their shadows and hear their also exhausted voices in the tent over.
He did not want to deal with whatever was going on, so Loak continued his rushed efforts to go to his hammock. Slowly walking into the tent Loak looks up from his bandaged arm, he didn't realize straight away it, wasn't strange to see people in the tent.
But as he saw the stranger curled up in his hammock he was a bit taken a back. In all his thinking the stranger suddenly turned around and sat up from the hammock.
It was a girl. She was wrapped in one of Neytiri's shawls, she had red puffy and damp under eyes. He was froze in place, he could only look at her.
She stood up like she wanted to do something, but didn't. As Loak saw this girl in his bed he looked down at her loincloth looking closer noticing a big smear of dark blood across the grey and pink cloth.
No. It couldn't be.
Loak raised his glace to her hair. Her long loose black hair flowed down her arms and back, she had a long messy braid down the side of her head.
It was pinned from top to bottom in small pink and blue flowers. A few coming loose from the rain. Some small strands of hair sticking to her face from crying. Her eyes wide, she slightly opens her mouth like she wanted to say something but stopped herself.
She was beautiful.
It was her. It was really her.
