Low-Effort DDLC Memes
(the art for the Free Will meme is by Khyleri)
I've spent ages trying to add onto this somehow. Make a little, relevant joke. But I am not creative enough. Too perfect the way it is. Still, I need people to see this cause it's so
Yuri-core
Does anyone else worry that, somehow, Monika is real and in your computer and watching what you do? Cause I feel super guilty when I do something she wouldn't approve of.
My made-up anime girl stalker knows what I read on Ao3 and the incorrect quotes I post on Tumblr. She's probably gonna delete all my files and install a dozen viruses so I cannot commit any further sins.
DDLC Incorrect Quote:
Monika: Are you a painting?
Sayori: What?
Monika: Because I want to pin you to a wall
Natsuki: OH GOD I THOUGHT YOU WERE GOING TO SAY YOU WANTED TO HANG HER OR SOMETHING--
DDLC Incorrect Quote:
Natsuki: Yuri, I am begging you to go see a doctor—
Yuri, about to stab herself to death: Oh, is this our sickness? Stay out of it.
DDLC Incorrect Quote:
Monika, gazing lovingly at You: I would die for you.
You, opening the game files: Then perish.
DDLC Incorrect Quote:
Monika: What is wrong with you?
Yuri: Many, many things...
Yuri: And most of them are your fucking fault.
DDLC Incorrect Quote:
You during act 3: You have to let me out!
Monika: Not until Stockholm Syndrome sets in. How long do you think that'll be, a couple of hours? Would you love me if I got you a churro?
(To follow on from my previous post where they're players,)
What I think the Dokis might be like as Dungeon and Dragons 5th edition dungeon masters (DMs):
Monika
As club president (and a control freak) she is the first to DM. She runs a pre-made oneshot to get a feel for things, but quickly gets overwhelmed. Of course she read the all the details before beginning, but when everyone makes unexpected decisions she flails and struggles with the improv.
Whilst she concludes that she hates DMing, she still believes it's her responsibility as club president, so she tries again. She prepares a homebrew campaign, believing she'd do better at improv if she wrote everything from the beginning. Some simple concept that uses some fantasy cliches and satires others. Again, she ends up flustered. Yuri keeps inadvertantly exploiting her errors and Sayori keeps talking to NPCs Monika hadn't prepared.
The club recognises her struggles and Sayori offers to DM the next game. Monika realises she loves being a player instead and never looks back.
Concept: DDLC ask blog set during act 2
Yuri's unhinged and goes on long, rambling rants about the macbre and the disturbing - often unrelated to whatever ask is given. Frequently derails the conversation to argue with the other members, and if an ask references MC by name, she will get excessively protective and accusatory.
MC blindly sticks to the script to an unsettling degree, maintaining a sarcastic half-asshole vibe despite constant insanity. If anything referencing the game being a game or anything too disturbing is brought up, he doesn't respond for the rest of the post.
Natsuki's the only one half-sane and tries to keep everyone slightly on track. She often begs people to stop sending in asks because she thinks it'll finally end the torment. Everyone constantly shits on her for no reason - she can't get through a post without someone telling her to go fuck herself.
Monika's doesn't know how they all gained access to the blog, and there's occasional updates from her trying to remove all the other members. She's very flippant about anything upsetting that's brought up and always addresses you as though nobody else is there. She ends every post by telling you she loves you - it's unclear whether this "you" is the asker or just whoever happens to be reading.
And Sayori is
They're making zero progress on the makeup...

Listen, she thought it, she had to say it...

What I think the Dokis might be like as Dungeon and Dragons 5th edition players:
(so, we're gonna assume this is an AU where the game is not a game and they're just- happy)
Monika
She didn't think D&D was that complex when she first agreed to play. She knew there was a lot of rules, but assumed it was like a complicated boardgame, so she didn't research ahead. She thought being a Wizard would give her plenty of utility/support spells for her friends but also have strong combat power. However, she didn't realise how squishy she would be and her character died quickly.
She came back to the next session with a changling sorlock (sorcerer/warlock multiclass) broken to all hell, designed to kill her opponent before they could even notice her. A being made of spite against the game, she tore apart official rules and became a battlefield nightmare. Balancing encounters becomes difficult.
Obviously, combat is her main thing. But she is powerful in roleplay as well. As charisma is her highest stat, she is the master of persuation and deception. She gaslights every shopkeep she meets for the best deals possible.
She also makes liberal use of the Charm Person spell. At some point she nearly tried to charm the undercover BBEG (big bad evil guy) and there was some major impromptu DM rewrites to avoid spoiling main plot points.
Basically, Monika needs a brave DM who's up for a challenge. She doesn't realise it and is happy to pull back if need be, but she overall has a lot of fun exploiting the rules of the game.
She tried being the group leader but quickly realised the chaos of the group was out of even her depth. And that D&D works best as a level playing field. Instead, she became the party negotiator. Best at finding new leads on a quest, getting information from a captive, and getting herself/the party out of sticky roleplay situations.
