when bella didn't want to get married at 18 because she saw how her parents' marriage crumbled and she was opposed to the patriarchal nature of the whole institution, and is bitter about it until the moment she is walking down the aisle, but as soon as she's married she realizes that being mrs. cullen is actually the best thing to ever happen to her and she's immediately ecstatic to have a baby with her husband. the way jacob says "you don't even belong to yourself anymore" about imprinting and is repulsed by the very idea, but then when he imprints he realizes it's actually what he was born to do & nothing could make him happier & he leaves everything behind to live with his mate's family. man once you become aware of the mormon agenda present within the twilight saga it is ALL you're aware of lol
lol i did always think that the madness layer w dany is only really functional to me in a john brown way
i am very curious about how this will be handled

But York’s eyes had drained him of his bluster. The man was a fanatic, Marsh decided. He had seen eyes like that before, in madmen and hell-raising preachers and once in the face of the man called John Brown, down in bleeding Kansas. Marsh wanted nothing to do with fanatics, with preachers, and abolitionists and temperance people.
Also from Fevre Dream (Marsh later delivers the “fire and blood” speech, post-character development)
with so many people thinking it, have you ever thought / do you think that dany will turn out to be a villain
listen i think ive expressed my own piece and also reblogged analysis and sentiments ive agreed with on here before about y i am opposed to this from plenty of angles, but the big quick thing especially is what other implication could u imagine with “final villain dany” considering what she is and what her arc has been dealing with so far that isn’t this? what would be the downfall arc and escalation here? this slippery slope shit with a character dealing w radical change & status quo upsetting & revolutionary violence to dismantle an institution like slavery is so frustrating to me

Race for the Iron Throne's Steven Attewell goes across the narrow sea to examine the politics of Essos.
& as for what george intends to do with this exactly:
scene from a grrm written draft from s4e2
we will see in like 40 years ig. im fine with dany becoming darker and more tragic (gurm “i love and care most for grey characters”) and entering some darker areas as she grapples with the questions present in her arc, but the version of that some of u have is just something i deeply dislike and honestly find upsetting and incongruent

I knew a song of ASOIAF was in conversation with the LoTR (no spoilers please, still on Fellowship), but Frodo son of Drogo? The name Daeron mentioned in Moria? Insane. Summoning all mutuals to read this book.
i feel like people aren't getting how dire ai is. we are running out of drinkable water. our brains aren't engaging as much with what we see and hear. people near data centers don't get clean water and experience electricity blackouts. it's being used to make pornography of underaged people and women. it often just lies. it affirms everything. it lies. it has made people kill themselves. it lies for gods sake. and people act as if im dramatic for being staunchly against it. 'now i KNOOW you hate ai and whatever, but look at this cute video' this isn't me being a new age puritan about internet videos, this is about the fucking earth and our future living on this planet. people are suffering now, people will suffer more, and my friends and parents will roll their eyes and think im annoying for despising ai so explicitly. we need to wake up because we cannot live like this
Basically I think a lot of White ppl think the antithesis to racism is "Black people are inherently Cool, White people are inherently Lame" and it's just very hard to convince them that this is also extremely racist lmfao
It's the combination of "seeing a racialized group as Fundamentally Inherently Good is still dehumanizing and you aren't seeing them as people" and "your self-flagellating White guilt is extremely annoying for the people of color around you to deal with"
I understand some of you are 19 but that is not an old man, he's 32.
Could you permayhaps draw the spouses of Amarei Crakehalls children? House Frey itself really fascinates me and I would like to see your interpretation of Lady Betharios and Wynafrei Whent specifically. I know it’s seven people so you don’t have to but I was just wondering because I really like your art style and not many people draw people related to House Frey. Sorry this ask was so long.
Hello hello, thank you for this request I am so excited to draw them all soon!!
Here is my interpretation of Wynafrei Whent, wife of Ser Danwell Frey, son of Amarei Crakehall :)

Exclusive: Sofie is devoted to the baby who was removed from her family, but she and advocates say the situation speaks to a desperate crisi
Lily had regular supervised visits with her mother during business hours and was ferried to and fro by a departmental worker. The workers were always different and appeared to know little about the child’s specific needs, including medical appointments notified by Sofie and Nina. On multiple occasions, Sofie and Nina say, those workers turned up with expired department identification, no working-with-children checks, and sometimes with no ID at all.

Hello dear, here is your Cabano in a traditional Hungarian dancing dress :) hope you like it and I did him justice🩷
books I absolutely must finish ASAP
The Little Virtues by Natalia Ginzburg
Othello by William Shakespeare
Absolute Wonder Woman Vol. 1 (2024)
The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien
Also the next book I finish will be my 20th, and once I am done, I will gloat over my literary conquests with insufferable pride. Othello is by far the most difficult read because the constant footnotes are both mind-expanding and immersion breaking, consistently, at the same time. However, after reading Whily Willy, I no longer find Tolkien's long descriptions difficult or tedious. They see, in comparison to Shakespeare's technical challenge, a cool soothing balm of a palate cleanser. I also love Tom Bombadil and all the songs and poetry Tolkien includes within the novel. Inventive chap! With Ginzburg, I'll be honest and say no other essay comes close to Winter in The Abruzzi for me. But that might change after I read The Little Virtues. AWW is pure fun visual entertainment - I love genre fiction of all stripes.
