i think id make a good, like, paladin powered by hatred or something. I'd meaningfully look back at my party before soloing the boss, and then after the fight, the party leader would ask me how i became so strong in the last moment, and i'd chuckle and say that i looked back to remind myself what i was fighting for. Which is a lie because i hate them so much and i do not want to be here and also i hate lying about liking them.

but when I make a sex joke about pinkie pie, not even a graphic one, suddenly everyones "offended" and "getting their childhood ruined" and theyre telling me not to say stuff like that

(read the plot PowerPoint but still making my way through the albums and trying to process the story) (with frequent breaks to pause and rewind and just jam along mindlessly) (and also DOUBLE! WIZARD!) (Prince's sick riff aside, DOUBLE! WIZARD! has NO RIGHT to slap as hard as it does)

-so I'm still figuring out this and that and what makes me curious are the lyrics from He Has Returned: "Far across the stars he travelled, yearning to be free. In search of epic battles to escape his destiny" playing as Prince is having that moonlit moment with Angus in the music video which could mean nothing, compared with "electronic lord of war destined to reign forevermore". You've left some interesting thoughts about destiny and fate but also like. I'm getting suspicious whiffs of "hey so I'm trying to escape my destiny as an immortal king, wanna elope and go on an adventure together, fellow prince bound by prophecy?"

What do the lyrics mean by that? Like he agreed to go with Angus to stop Zarg's clone and also Zarg himself should he successfully get defrosted despite presumably being the only heir to the Mecha Kings if he's such a big deal. Maybe I'm reading too deep into it but together with him being a robot, I'm getting whiffs of "a machine trying to forge his own destiny and have a say about his purpose in the world AND being put together by a cute green shortie with a hammer who's just so very neat that you know what? I think I'm gonna resist the power of a legendary artifact which corrupts everything it touches, EVEN ANOTHER ANGUS WHO YEETED HIMSELF INTO A FIERY DEATH TO ESCAPE ITS THRALL, just long enough to die to protect him."

The fact that he appears to be fighting the Knife's influence even before his eyes turn blue again (the way he raises the blaster arm so slowly as if as a result of an internal struggle <3) is also interesting.

Idk I just. IF HE DOESN'T RETURN AGAIN LIKE HE Promised AND FUCKING EXPLAIN HIMSELF BOTH (M)ANGO AND I WILL BE VERY UPSET.

boss is taking a while to pay me, and he was overly critical of the lyrics of a song i liked and posted, and i shut him down when he tried to give me writing advice on a project that didnt have anything to do with him,

and of course i dont want him to think that i hate him (i do hate him (but yknow gotta be friendly, especially in a studio that is this tightly knit.)),

so i took the time to draw something for him that i kinda wanted to draw anyway

and then he said some stupid bullshit in the post-drawing convo, and i had to confront him on that. fml what if my drawing-effort is wasted and he thinks i hate him (i do hate him)

hiring me may have been a severe financial misstep in my opinion, but this project was kinda doomed anyway, and i dislike the guy paying me, and i enjoy finally having fucking something on my linkedin, so i will not be saying shit

HEARTBREAKING: fanproject that somehow is getting way more resources than the work it derives from LACKS the economic drive that makes the original work special

#the original work had simple color palettes and only a few characters and no humans and simple backgrounds #this project is throwing all that out the WINDOW #overdesigned characters with multiple colors! SO MANY characters! humans!#they even hired a goddamn environmental concept artist! not even to MODEL the environments! somebody else does that!!

pisses me off that theyve got someone on prop design that really oughta be on character design. ohhh my goddd stop making them suffer. theyre not even having FUN on props, it's like watching a racehorse pull a plough. Their expressiveness of line is fucking one-in-a-million and they're forcing them to do LINEAR PERSPECTIVE. Just replace our current ugly overdesigned characters with their actually interesting ones. when this studio goes under i want to follow this artist wherever they go
