If You Sit Too Long- Animation

This animation, and project in general, is based on the idea that if you don't experiment or travel or try anything new, you will get stuck in your ways. And once you get stuck, it's a lot harder to break free and learn more about yourself and improve.

So this is my final animation for my personal voice project here at Brighton University! It's my second attempt at animating, but the first one that I've actually completed!

I got inducted into letterpress today!! Which was really nice of the tutor, as last Friday was technically her last day, and I leave on Saturday. I'm really excited though, since I was really hoping to get the chance to learn. I'm just sad I didn't get to learn it earlier in the semester. It's a lot of fun, and looks fantastic!

Anyways, I made this little bit of type to go with my final project.

One of my posters for my final project. They were mostly done for fun and aren't a large part of the project, I mostly just needed a break from animating once and a while!

Taken in Venice, Italy. I love masks, and so this was probably the best part of Venice for me- getting to visit a bunch of mask makers and just simply seeing them EVERYWHERE.

A postcard for Stratford-Upon-Avon. I loved it there, and there is a lot more to that place than just Shakespeare. But all the Shakespeare is awesome too.

So I just had the most AMAZING day in London ever.

I got to see Sweeney Todd performed at the Adelphi theater, had traditional afternoon tea at the Savoy, and then took a boat to Greenwich. Seriously, did this day just happen? Because it was fantastic.

DOWNSIDE. I leave England a month from today.

I'll be posting random stuff from my personal project (that I'm not going to end up using at all) for awhile since all I'll be working on is the final animation!

Images from this week's Dr Sketchy session, where we literally had the BEST MODEL EVER. I couldn't even conceive of a better concept for a life drawing session. Our model was a mustachioed Victorian-esque stripper who does a sketch dressed as a drunk scotsman with bagpipes on a unicycle. I'm serious. AMAZING. He even did a little comedy routine for us at the end of our drawing session. So good.
