selfshipper canon event is looking at a guy from some media you barely know/are revisiting and then just say ‘huh. they look neat.’ a week later you’re 10000ft down a rabbit hole and going through every single detail of them imaginable as they stay in your head for 24/7.
Happy 365 Days!!!!!! Restarted my TWST game 1 year ago today and haven't missed a login once! Since falling back into the game after a few years away I've had so much fun-these characters and story are so special to me. Here's to another year!

Ahhh thank you so much! Let me actually grab some progress pics of Mina there-I'll explain everything I did for her!
Alright first off Mina's base is an Alchemy Class Cater! Picked him because his eyes were already mostly the right green (I've noticed the Nuis tend to have more vibrant/saturated eyes when compared to their refs, Nesoberis by contrast for example which I'm also customizing a Mina have less saturated/more ref accurate eyes-would show but last time I posted that WIP the post got flagged for some reason), and because his outfit relatively matched up. The white collar I could reuse, and also it meant that I had a more blank base.
Once I got him in I used both scissors and a hair dryer to CAREFULLY remove the hair pieces, I also used a seam ripper to remove the diamond (note that it can slightly scar the fabric so BE CAREFUL). Once that was off I used the hair pieces as reference to make the pattern-no full pics however I like to kinda map out shapes with paper-you can see me doing that on her ponytail here. I also embroidered her lashes/mole on before adding hair as well.
Mina's hair front and back are sewn together and were copied in part from how the original hair was sewn, I didn't want to hot glue if I could avoid it so its sewn to her head-think only her ponytail back was hot glued which for that its 2 layers of the fleece I used stuck together with this reallyyyyy strong fabric adhesive sheet I had in my stash. The edges I sealed with fray check, however I've found you can also CAREFULLY singe the edges with a lighter to avoid fraying as well. Only on polyester-based fabrics though! They're plastic based so they melt under flame-natural fibers would just burn into ash.
And for the clothes they're a cheap fabric paint/acrylic paint slightly watered down mix-you MUST slightly thin out the paint/do thin layers to avoid it going on too thick and cracking/making the plush stiff-I actually left Mina's back/sleeve emblem unpainted since she always has her coat on covering it if she's not say, wearing one of her little plushie capes or something to help with that. You can also slightly see through that some of the original print shows up, more paint layers or a white base over that might've covered it up. (also don't do every detail! Just major ones since these guys are tinyyyy-like Mina doesn't have all the details her shoes have for example because you just wouldn't see them.)
Her hair also has a slight blue fade that I got via stamping a sort of gradient with watered down blue paint and a paint sponge! Don't go too watery while painting things though since it'll start to bleed. Mina's eyes got the same treatment to brighten/saturate the lower half.
Outfit-wise her coat is two layers of satin stuck together with that same fabric adhesive sheet to stiffen/seal the edges, and the hat is magnetic! I glued one magnet to the underside of the hat, the other I leave loose tucked under her bangs-that way I can both adjust the position, or using a paper clip fish it out and....
Attach it to her ghost cape I made! :D
You might be able to lift a body pattern off the main plush since the bodies are pretty simple if you want a skin-toned base, it's just two pieces a back and front sewn around, or if you want you can also uh...buy a dono nui and do a body swap. WARNING HOWEVER-not all TWST nuis are in scale with each other! I got a Malleus I jokingly call Mina and Lilia's kid third wheeling their dates since he arrived superrrr tiny.
He's Alchemy Class as well but you can see the size difference. Made him a raincoat bulk him out but even with it he's very small, he might be an earlier or later release or just factory/pattern differences, I'm not sure.
Also a final note is yes Mina can get baths! She's been washed gently in the sink a few times and has had no paint loss-just don't scrub really hard and don't soak for long.

This was SUCH of fun zine to work on, and I'm very happy I got to do my favorite fairytale Godfather Death with the Shroud brothers!

Gonna be trying to post some backlog commissions this week though! Have a handful I've gotten the clearance for finally to post!
Though for now have my recent pulls-first for Twilit Fit Riddle came home...as the WRONG CARD FIRST, then Silver was kind and escorted him home at pity !
Now I have one of the PRETTIEST cards in game, and 3/4 Diasomnia since Lilia was sweet and came home for me at 10 when I had tried to get Rabbit Deuce-thank you dear ^^
He's soooo cute I was so happy, only missing Malleus now! Also Jamil showed up too! Which no Deuce that banner sadly but hey an SSR is an SSR.
Ruby White's Intro
"Oh, I just love making friends! Why don't we dig into this gooseberry pie I just finished baking? There's plenty to go around!"
Introducing Ruby White, great-granddaughter of Snow White herself! (She got her looks from her father, so the students don't believe her at first-) With her UM being based around bringing any animal to her beck and call using only her singing voice, Crowley decided to take a chance and extend an invitation to this young royal. (Whether that was a mistake or not has yet to be determined.) Despite being invited by the Headmage himself, the mirror couldn't place which dorm Ruby belonged in, so Crowley very so kindly let her stay in Ramshackle Dorm. After coming from a cottage in the middle of the woods, Ruby had no problems staying in an abandoned building. All it needed was some love and care, and Ramshackle Dorm would be fit for anyone who stays there after she graduates!
Here's a bit of info about her:
Nicknames: Snowy, Blondie, Rosie(Ace), Animal Whisperer(Cater and Ace), Chérie des Bois(Rook), Sweet Tart(Riddle)
Personality: Ruby is described as a living reincarnation of her great-grandma without the matching hair and eye color. She is known for her kind and pure heart, her patience, and helping others. She hates seeing others upset, so she offered to be someone you can vent to or someone to rely on for comfort. Despite growing up in a forest, she's rather outgoing and wants to make friends. Unfortunately, not everyone came to Night Raven Collage to find friends, which is something Ruby still has to remember. Because of Ruby’s upbringing and deciding to continue her great-grandma’s legacy, there is some pressure on her shoulders. She’s at a disadvantage with her magic; despite being a sophomore, she only came to grasp the basics of technology, and she’s trying to win everyone over with a baked good and a bright smile on the side. However, this makes her more determined to make her goals come true. If Snow White was able to rule her family’s kingdom while continuing to be kind to everyone, so can she.
Backstory: Ruby lived alone with her parents in a cottage in the Black Forest. Her papa was a knight to their neighbor kingdom, the Kingdom of Heart, while her mama stayed home to take care of Ruby and their home. While it was quite lonely since there was no one around for miles, Ruby made friends with the woodland creatures who would come by their home. On Ruby's 13th birthday, her mam revealed that her and Ruby are part of Snow White's bloodline. Currently, Ruby's grandparents are ruling the kingdom, but they weren't supposed to rule for that long. Eden, Ruby's mother, was supposed to take over the throne once she was old enough to rule. However, she didn't like that her life was chosen for her just because she was an only child. Eden ended up running away once she turned 18 and quite enjoyed living as a low-class citizen rather than the princess she is. Eden didn't want Ruby to be forced into the ruling role, which is why she kept her past and their bloodline a secret for so long. However, Ruby deserved to know her grandparents, so Eden took her and her husband to the Kingdom of Hearts the following day so they can meet. When Ruby met her grandparents, her grandma was telling her all sorts of stories about her time as queen and even showed her a beautiful painting of The Fairest Princess herself that was hung on the castle walls. That day, Ruby swore herself that if her mama wants nothing to do with the throne or her kingdom, she'll take over the throne herself once she's old enough. She was part of Snow White's bloodline, after all, and she doesn't want to let her down. Thankfully, Ruby would get an invitation to a familiar prestigious collage, and hopefully, NRC would help her reach her goal.
Fun facts:
Ruby is in the Equestrian Club.
Ruby is paired up with Riddle (I'm thinking on also pairing her up with Silver, but I'm going to wait until I get through Book 7 before I decide).
Ruby knows how to do basic sewing, like putting a patch or sewing a button back on a coat.
Ruby doesn't have a green thumb like her mama, but she can grow some decent food.
Since Ruby never grew up with technology, Cater taught her everything she needed to know. He even got her first phone.
Despite looking skinny, Ruby has good upper arm strength from washing her clothes with a washboard back home.
Ruby has tea with all her meals.
You would most likely find Ruby in the Scarabia Dorm(to hang out with Kalim), tending the horses, or at the library.
On special occasions or for dates, Ruby curls her hair with hair curlers.
Since Ruby couldn’t sing on campus, she decided to learn how to play the flute so she could still do something musical.

First Years Turned in 5 year-olds: Malleus and Sebek
Malleus feels short, hasty tugs at the end of his bed. The duvet is slight pulled off him and shuffling can be heard in the darkness of his room. He turns his head slightly, his eyes faintly glowing in the darkness as he searches for the intruder.
A tuft of light green hair peaks over the bed. “Sebek?”
“Eep!” The little cowlick jumps and quickly makes its way around the bed until the child was a Malleus’s side.
A squirrel plushie tucked tight in his arms and glassy eyes, he leaned against the bed.
“Big brother” Sebek whispered. “Can I sleep here? It’s scary here.”
A once dormant glee lit in his heart as he lifted his duvet for Sebek to climb in. Once before, maybe 12 years ago, Sebek and Silver would come running over to sleep in Malleus’s room. Those days disappeared once they took on the roles of his guards but Malleus still found himself yearning for those times when status and duty meant nothing.
It made him feel a bit guilty at how happy he was when Sebek turned back into a young child. While the other housewardens were stuck with children who were meeting them for the first time, Malleus was getting his littlest brother back.
