I had the awesome opportunity to paint on The Mighty Nein! Here are some moody BGs from Episode 1. I was only in charge of painting the backgrounds so go show some appreciation to the designers as well if you see them on other media apps!

i'm so happy that raj brought me on board to help with his wonderful short for Toonout (jk i begged to do color on it). we both love 80's dark fantasy and we did a lot of research together to get the feel right while also bringing plenty of our own sensibilities into it.

boards and character designs by raj, bg layout/paint and color script by me. we collaborated on color styling, raj did a majority of the local color and i did the tints and lighting treatments :}
