When I was flying back to Newcastle, I took a red-eye. I opened the window cover while we were in flight to find hundreds and hundreds of stars. I hadn’t really ever thought of that: you’re above the clouds, out of reach of light pollution.  It was amazing.

I couldn’t find any photos (I meant to take one, but was too doped up on sleeping medication to really figure it out) but here’s an Airbus ad I found on Google that was closest to what I was watching while we flew over the Atlantic.
