I really hope they don't make us wait a decade or more like with the classic Doctor Who era after declaring the hiatus... hopefully maybe just 2 or 3 years... I was so looking forward to the Christmas Special this year, especially after the cliffhanger. I hope they resolve what happened at the end of the previous season and we get to see Billie as the Doctor have an adventure...

In case you weren't mad enough here's some arcs in RTD 2.0 that will probably never get picked back up if/when the show comes back:

- Susan: where is she? what she doing being a cryptic hallucination? We will probably never know

- Rouge: yeah the doctor is never finding his ass at this point

- the red finger nail person: we still have no clue who picked up the tooth master, like no clue at all

- "the boss": the threat from the meep wasn't mentioned for a while, then was alluded to in the time hotel, then never brought up again

- the legion: ik we've had the maestro and the goblins but that's all, I was expecting it to be a looming thing

- Ms flood: with how doctor who is by nature, it will probably be sadly forgotten that she slipped away

Now that RTD is gone I think Ncuti should get a do over season

Not to be annoyingly positive, though, and i have mixed feelings on RTD2 as much as anyone - but given the show was effectively ending with power of the doctor before the deal was signed - I am glad we got Ncuti, Ruby, Belinda, and a fair few wonderful episodes, rather than no doctor who since 2022. It wasn’t perfect, but some were a delight and i’m glad they exist.

One of the most upsetting parts of the Doctor Who cancelation/hiatus/whatever is that the Susan arc will likely be dropped and never concluded. The worst part is that there's a 99% chance that RTD has no plan with Susan. He teased us with a possible return for literally no reason and now we have nothing. I would have prefered to have no tease in the first place and keep dreaming for her return.
