just watched little miss sunshine. lives were changed. here are my thoughts:

olive is so me. i love her so much. my parents would've NEVER let me do beauty contests as a kid because...duh...but if i were to have done them, i would've been just like her. she was so adorable! I just wish her body image issues were talked about more. I HATE her dad for saying the thing about ice cream to her. mind you she's seven! she doesn't need to know what saturated fat content is! she will LIVE...I promise! (I might be projecting because the dad in the beginning is lowk my dad...like y'all are laughing but this was/is LITERALLY my life).

dwayne. OH MY GODDDDDDUH. his crashout was so valid. also he looks a bit like my uncle Phil (he's not related by blood, just my dad's friend). I wish the family was more supportive of him lowk. actually, maybe I don't because I looked into the philosopher he liked and his whole thing was "individualism" or whatever. so maybe the family leaving him alone WAS supportive? in a way? this makes sense to me in my head. anyway I loved the character.

the bit with the p0rn mags was SO funny. like the thing with Frank hiding it from the guy, then the cop thinking that the dad was trying to hide the magazines from him...SO FUCKING FUNNY! I was cracking up im ngl.

Omg the pagent scene. First of all, who the fuck yells "get off the stage" to a seven year old? was she twerking? yes. is that a crime? HELL NO! that lady needs to watch that one glee episode about twerking. #geteducated

awww also the little brother and sister moment was so cute. they're the same age difference as my brother and I, so it really hit close to home. I love them sm, they make me want to have a healthier relationship with my brother.

overall the movie was tuff as hell so if anyone wants to talk about it HMU!!

Apparently the dude who runs the crematorium is just fundamentally confused about how advertising works. He actually thought that the way you made an ad was you found a picture that got people’s attention … and then also included information about your company. He was genuinely surprised and baffled when people thought there was any relationship between the (independently nonsensical) captioned image and his cremation business. There were two more ads in the series that are equally, just… so much…
