i feel like a lot of people forget about how much xin mo was affecting binghe throughout the story. like yes things could have been fixed if sqq told binghe the truth but also there is a physical manifestation of binghe’s Heart Demon (his inner demons, if you will. because thats literally what the name xin mo means iirc) thats like HEY WHAT IF HES LYING!!! but hey if hes telling the truth lets KEEP HIM FOREVER SO NO ONE ELSE CAN TOUCH HIMM‼️👹
