Leon in RE9 is so papa to me!! And I read the cutest hcs about him by @flutterpups ! So here's him and me! Been having a kinda rough time recently and I think some papa time would fix me! Who's your favorite characters from resident evil? I'd love to know!! ^^ 🩷

Small collection of babies from a few months ago. I should've made the differentiation a bit more clear but Just Trust Me there's a difference. Top one is Degen, bottom left is Rookie helping Degen, and bottom right is Reqi feeling a little too paranoid to want to play outside (self projection).

Degen never has interest in the food on his plate and believes sharing is caring.

𑣲⋆ caregiver leon s. kennedy headcanons this felt so inevitable but it also took me so long to come up with any. im basing this on re6 & re9 leon because they're my favorites Lollll

he doesn't care about what they want to call him while small, but will encourage his kiddos to give him a nickname if they want to. his favorites are dad and papa.

leon's schedule is… unforgiving, often meaning he's out of town for weeks on end at short notice. he eventually starts carrying a personal phone with him on missions, connected to his earpiece, mainly in case of emergency (e.g. needing help after a nightmare/to tell him they saw a cute dog earlier). if he's too busy, he'll redirect them to ada or hunnigan instead.

enjoys co-caregiving, usually with ada. he's not always great at recognizing what a kid might need from him, so he likes having someone with him to help catch the signals he misses.

what leon is good at is handling any big emotions a kiddo might have. grace is having a meltdown? he'll sit with her and hold her in the aftermath. helena's lashing out again? he'll talk her through it until she's feeling a little bit calmer.

on a similar note, he'd never let any of his little ones feel embarrassed about being small. he's done so much worse over the years to try and cope, he'd never want them to feel any shame over something harmless that comforts them.

very lax when it comes to rules, unless it's a safety matter. ashley doesn't want to eat her vegetables? well, neither does he, so.... he likes to play the good cop, but he can be stern when it comes to it, even more so than ada or hunnigan. never to the point of being scary, but enough to act as a warning.

leon lives with chronic pain, especially in his shoulders, so he can't always carry a little one around or do anything overly energetic. on those days, he enjoys running little movie marathons, curling up in bed or sitting in a pillow fort together while he introduces them to 'real' cinema (read: cheesy 90s superhero movies).

will accept any gift his kids presents him with, no matter how big or small it is. one time, sherry made him a cup of coffee with a tablespoon of instant coffee and sugar; you best believe he drank it without even flinching.

leon's also big on giving gifts too; ada must be rubbing off on him. regression gear, comfy clothes, video games… he'll sit with them on the couch with his laptop and let them point out whatever they want, and then some. he's more than willing to splurge when it comes to his babies' wants or needs.

aeon are flip4flip to me, but i was watching clips of him talking to grace earlier and Sigh....he's so dad......

Leon as a caregiver hcs!

-He’d always speak in a soft voice “hey there kiddo, you’re feeling little huh?”

-If he had to leave for work/for a mission he’d let you have the ability to contact him through his comms, he’d be fighting zombies but would still take the time to tell you he loves you if you called <3

-He would put any picture you drew or colored on the fridge

-Obviously he’d love making his dad jokes <3 he would especially love it when you “complain” about how corny he is and then he’d tease you saying he knows you find them funny

-He doesn’t have many rules for you other than rules for your safety. “No baby you can’t touch those you could get hurt okay?”

-When he first starts to be your caregiver he’d be a bit paranoid that he wouldn’t be able to do it right. Especially with all the traumas he’s been through he doesn’t think he could take care of someone so small, he wasn’t around during a lot of sherry’s childhood so he doesn’t even really know how it works. But he’s amazing at it even if he won’t admit it

-Sometimes Claire or Chris would come over to babysit you
