Dead Boy Detectives Offerings for Fandom Trumps Hate 2025!

If you haven't seen it before, FTH is a yearly charity auction. The idea is: creators sign up to offer fan creations – fic, art, edits, betaing, or anything else – in exchange for donations to charity. You then bid on the creator(s) of your choice!

This has been taking place since 2016, and always picks an overall cause to support. This year, that cause was queer organisations. What's more fitting for the first year our fandom can participate?

Even though this is the first year for DBDA, we've come smashing right in with a whopping 35 entries. This puts us somewhere in the top 20 biggest fandom offerings (of hundreds)!

I've made a spreadsheet here to consolidate and for easier viewing, but I'll also be listing everyone directly on Tumblr under the cut.

I've been out of the drawing habit for a while, but I'm trying to find my way back to it! @pixljar and I recently watched all of Netflix's Dead Boy Detectives, a genuinely cute show that is now, unfortunately, marred by association with a certain disgraced writer. EDIT: Thanks to the anon who offered some clarification re: NG's involvement (or lack thereof) with the show! There's a bit of writeup here, if you'd like to learn more.

Anyway, here's my little sketch of Charles, a severe cutie who steals pretty much every scene he's in. I almost drew him with his signature cricket bat, but something about this pose just got in my head once I saw it. I can't explain it. It was fun to draw, though! 🤷
