My face when someone posts a before/after photo set for NEDA awareness week. What we’re absolutely not going to do is perpetuate the false, tired, oppressive notion that ED’s have a singular look thus making access to quality care and proper diagnosis that much harder for the most marginalized bodies. You cannot look at someone with an ed and determine how much they are suffering or what they are struggling with. Let’s stop telling the same god damn story. Let’s all educate ourselves and do fucking better.
I swear sometimes it’s the little things in life that get me.
I live in a very old building and one of our elevators is currently broken and the other is incredibly slow, temperamental, and (probably) haunted so tonight while waiting for its arrival my doorman offered to take my neighbors and I up in the freight elevator (one of whom was an 8 year old with pink light up sneakers, just for a good visual). I felt like I was living in a Marvelous Mrs.Maisel episode, riding up to my floor with the help of our friendly elevator operator and so that was fun.

You’re not stuck. You’re just committed to certain patterns of behavior because they helped you in the past. Now those behaviors have become more harmful than helpful. The reason why you can’t move forward is because you keep applying an old formula to a new level of your life. Change the formula to get different results. Stop being committed to your own bullshit and self-sabotage. You can expect to keep repeating the same things over and over and still wonder why nothing changes. Shift your focus!

Telling someone a story you think is funny and having them find it equally as funny is probably one of the most satisfying moments in life.

For any of you who have struggled with eating disorders, chronic dieting, or are just people living in a society seeped in diet culture you should absolutely check out my pal Christy Harrison’s podcast “Food Psych” if you haven't already!
Tbh, there’s not a lot that can make my day quite like receiving reference letters from professors. Like damn I did not know I needed to be gassed up like that but thank you for your service
A few more random moments from Paris before I stop for the day. I’m sure I’ll add some others but I’ll leave it here for tonight (:
