Call me crazy but you'd think speed bumps would be designed to be able to be crossed at the speed limit or maybe 5-10 under and not having to go down to 3 km/h every damn time
"Ai makes things accessible" not everything NEEDS to be accessible to everyone.
If you do not enjoy writing, you don't need ai to generate books.
If you do not enjoy drawing, you do not need ai to make art.
If you do not enjoy making music, you do not need ai to write songs.
All these things are made because people enjoy creating them, people LIKE practicing and trial and error when it comes to things that interest them.
There are many ideas I have in my life that I am able to say "well, I don't have the money to have someone else to do this for me so I guess it can just stay in my mind" because I know that I would not enjoy making/doing them myself. It's okay to just write down your thoughts.
How is soulless generated stuff that you didn't even make or put any effort into any better than the idea you already had of it in your head?? What purpose does making it with shitty ai serve if it's already clear in your mind?
Because trust me, nobody else wants to see it.
laurmau you will always be famous
IMO, one of the most annoying consequences of people treating autism like it's just quirky special interests and nothing else is that people will say "autism isn't an excuse for [known symptom or common trait of autism, including actual diagnostic criteria]" with no irony.
I've seen "autism isn't an excuse to be a picky eater," "autism isn't an excuse to struggle with tone/misread sarcasm in a post," "autism isn't an excuse to be bad at social cues" (with the comment of "literally just go out and learn by talking to people, it's not that hard," as if autistic people don't already do that), "autism isn't an excuse to not make eye contact, that's so rude," "autism isn't an excuse to wear headphones in class or work, nobody else gets to do that," and "autism isn't an excuse to be unemployed/live with your parents/not leave the house enough" (wondering if this person has any idea HSN autistic people exist?). Some people here are like half a drink away from saying having flat affect is "literally weaponized incompetence!!!" or something. I'm starting to wonder what you people think autism even is. Because if you've found a way for autistic people to turn off the most basic symptoms (like sensory sensitivity or difficulty with social settings), that's news and you need to share your incredible findings with the world immediately.
(Disclaimer in case one is necessary: I am not talking about assholes trying to use autism as an excuse for bigotry, like white tumblr users being racist about rap or musk's nazi salute. I am talking about things that autism symptoms actually cause, including things that are completely harmless to others but are treated as problems simply because allistic people find them weird or annoying.)
Every time a neurotypical uses the word overstimulated wrong an angel fucking DIES
"Adult cats don't meow at each other only at humans and kittens!!"
Are you actually fucking stupid

Conservatives are more concerned about imaginary trans predators than they are about the real, convicted, president predator
On tumblr, you can say "don't stick a fork in that electric outlet in the wall, getting electrocuted that way is really bad for you", and people will reply with "but what if I use a knife? Is that dangerous too or am I allowed to do that?" And another one is like "op is lying it's actually 100% safe fun and cute uwu" because they live in a house with the electricity cut off. A third one goes "oh my god I had no idea I've been risking my life every single time I poke a fork at the wall. I just like the way the wallpaper feels when I puncture it. No wonder mom yells at me every time I do it! D:"
And then it explodes into an argument concerning whether or not getting electrocuted is inherently, ontologically bad for you or not, because someone shared their story of how getting electroconvulsive therapy cured their depression and saved their life, and therefore OP is wrong for implying that going out of your way to get electrocuted is always wrong and bad in every situation.
"why are so many leftists disabled" maybe it's because disabled people don't really care for the "kill all disabled people" parties but who can say
I wonder if a lobotomy would rid me of my intrusive thoughts
I wonder if a buzzcut would rid me of my trich

I keep thinking the random few weeks where everything goes wrong in my life are over and then another thing goes wrong in my life
