The way that depression slowly makes everything you love feel like stale bread until you forget what it was like to live any other way. Any other way feels like a vague dream you had a decade ago and the aftertaste is barely lingering now. The person I was is a distant friend I lost contact with but I can't even remember when we stopped talking. My body is here in the now but I think I'm somewhere else and I'm forgetting who I am at all.
