I need Everybeing right now to know about the concept ki/kin pronouns because- ????? This is genuinely revolutionary for me and I will be adopting it for both personal use and for other non-human beings in my day-to-day life because AAA!! It's that something in-between, not anthroprimorphizing, but also not removing Kin's (and our) sentience and deserving of respect The article is Speaking of Nature (2017) Robin Wall Kimmerer
This is awesome and amazing. Would also really like to add that this author is Native American. When adopting these you are adopting native language and belief systems into your lives. I strongly encourage otherkin/alterhuman/therian individuals using these to really think and give your thanks to native and indigenous culture, which is rooted in animism, nonhuman identities or spirits, and many of the concepts we hold dear. Native Americans see way too much disrespect in this community. Coming from a Choctaw native myself.
