It made me cry, it gets a reblog. Thank u baby possum
Hey, have you eaten today? I know it can be hard, but you deserve to eat food- and you deserve to enjoy it! I’m rooting for you to be able to do both <3
Drinking water is important and good. But drinking juice, soda, or milk is great too! Don’t feel bad for taking care of yourself.
Hey, I hope you’ve been as kind to yourself as you can. You deserve care, from yourself and others.
Something that helps me feel better is to consciously spend some time going over all the good thing I’ve done that day before bed, even if they seem unimportant and obvious, and then praise myself for them. It sounds kind of silly, but it can really help reframe even a relatively bad day.
Example: “Today I went to class, heckyeah learning things YAY! Then I had lunch in the cafeteria and that’s good because I was taking care of myself which is important. I also spent some time relaxing after getting home, which is important so that’s a good thing! I drank enough water and i’m glad!”
Basically, go through the things you did and see them in the context of how it was helping you. That can be anything from drinking water, to brushing your teeth, to eating, to studying.
It’s so seductive to think you’ll be fine without food. It might even seem that way to you. But the truth is, you won't be and you can't be. It's not a failure on your part when you feed yourself.
you need to eat. you don’t have to earn it by depriving yourself or suffering “enough”. Your body just needs food and you deserve to have it (and enjoy it!).
not eating doesn't make you better. it's not an achievement. taking care of yourself, letting yourself eat, rest and enjoy movement is something to be proud of.
hey. it's alright if you are a lot. it's alright if you're taking a break from exercise today. your worth is not defined by how much deprivation you can get through.
Recovery is possible. You can find happiness again. I believe in you.
one day, you'll have breakfast with your friends and you won't worry about calories. one day, you'll put on clothing just because you like it and not worry about how your body looks. one day, you'll be okay. We can get there together, all of us.
exercise is good, but using it to punish yourself is not. if you need to take a break from it for a while that's okay. it's also a good idea to rethink why you're doing it- and to think about whether it's making you happy. if not, consider what does and try to switch towards that if you can.
If things are bad right now, write down how.
Write down the things you are missing out on because of your eating disorder
Write down how much time you spend obsessing about food
Write down how much it hurts to be hungry or uncomfortably full
Write down the ways your body is suffering, the pain or dizziness or nausea
It might not help you today, and it might not help you tomorrow. But maybe some day you’ll think about doing this again and you will be able to look back on the things you wrote, and hopefully it’ll help you reach out for help before things get that bad again.
It’s okay to make things as easy for yourself as you can. Put snacks next to your laptop. Go out with your friends over mealtimes and eat with them. Take the elevator if you’re feeling dizzy. You don’t have to suffer.
Every day is a new day. You can always start making the choice to be kinder to yourself. You don’t have to punish yourself for things you did yesterday.
hey I love you just know that 💗 thanks for what you do here, but please take care of yourself too 💗💗💗
Thank you Nonny!! I try my best, and I hope you do too.
you're what i needed today. thank you.
I’m glad if I could help, and thank you for this message.
