Y/n, she's my best friend. We've been friends since we were kids. She was my only friend besides Ethan as sad as that sounds. Ethan was also close to her but not as close as me. All I wanted for her was to be happy and wished her success, but her life wasn't so easy and it made my heart hurt to see her in pain. One day, I realized I wanted to be there for her, I needed to be. I'm not gonna get into details but I've been by her side since the first grade. I was there for her first boyfriend, first kiss, and when she lost her virginity. It was pretty weird I'm not gonna lie, especially when it was with all different guys. I don't judge her though, I would never. I know it's the same for me, we would never judge each other for our mistakes.

As kids, we swear to 'never marry each other'. In other words, we swore to never have feelings for one another. We did well with this promise. But like all romance books and movies, it failed. Guess who started to develop feelings... Me, of course it had to be me. It started in freshman year, her first broken heart. In that moment, I never wanted to see her this way. I never wanted her to be mistreated by any guys again.

We are high school graduates, graduated in 2017. Currently, Y/n is studying at the University of California. It was one of the happiest I've seen her when she got the news she was accepted, screaming as she jumped up and down. I gave her one of the biggest hugs because I was so proud of her.

As for me, I'm doing YouTube as my career. Just me and my brother, she asked to not show her on our social media and we respected that. But behind the scenes, she's our biggest fan. She was by my side when we hit 100k and 1m, when we got our first award, when we got our new house, when I got my dream car. Even though all the drama, losing friends, she's still here.

A few months ago, I told her I liked her. Of course I got turned down but surprisingly, it didn't affect our friendship. But as time went on, we both gradually started to flirt with each other. I was already to ask her to be my girlfriend but I know her and I know she wanted to take things slow. I respected that.

That was until 3 weeks ago, I confessed again...

It was late at night, we were watching a movie. Y/n's head was in my lap as she laid across the couch. This sudden feeling came up and just had to tell her.

"Umm... Y/n? I need to tell you something" I said nervously

"Uh oh, what'd I do?" She teases as she got up. She looked into my eyes curiously, which made my heart beat against my chest.

"You already know about my feelings about you..." I began, she sighed as she sat closer.

"Grayson..."

"No, I want to- I need to say this" I squeezed my eyes shut then let out a sigh. My heart felt it was gonna burst out of my chest. A lump in my throat formed which made it difficult to speak. "My feelings for you grew. It's not like or like like, as what 12 year olds say," She gave me a giggle that rang through my ears. A smile grew on my lips. "Y/n, I love you" Once those words came out of my mouth, I was filled with regret. Y/n was speechless and not the good kind. She exhaled sharply as she rubbed the back of her neck.

“Grayson...”

"I knew it, I shouldn't have said it. It was stupid of me. I just ruined the whole night. I'm so sorry Y/n" I rambled as I got up and started to pace back and forth. Y/n watch me continue then got up.

"Grayson." She said as she stopped in front of me. She caressed my cheek as I leaned to her touch. I knew she just wanted me to calm down.

"Please love me back" I blurted out. I mentally hit myself, I felt wasn't in control of what I was saying. I just made things worse.

"Give me time, Grayson." Was all she said, her thumb caressed my bottom lip. I stared into her eyes, she gave me a small smile as she stared into mine. She leaned in and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I froze as she started to gather her things. She gave me a hug goodbye then left to her home. I rubbed my cheek then a grin formed.

And I did. I gave her all the time she needed. That was until I found out she was going on a date tonight. With a guy she met online. They were going to a restaurant. I just sat at home as she was out with some dude she met through tinder. To be honest, it made my blood boil. I poured all my feelings for her and she...

I shake my head, trying to get my thoughts out of my head. She left for her date 45 minutes ago. I tried to be happy for her but it only made me sadder. That was until my phone started to ring

"Hello?" I answered

"Hey Gray, c-can you come pick me up?" A familiar soft voice replied. It was y/n.

"Of course, what happened? I thought-"

"Please just come, I don't want to be here anymore" She sounded sad like on the verge of tears. I immediately rushed for my keys and zoomed down the street. She texted me where she was and I saw she on a bench outside, alone. I didn't get the chance to park properly because I just jumped out and ran towards her. Once I reached her, she already sounded like she was crying. I sat down beside her the suddenly, y/n threw herself in my arms and cried. I wrapped my arms around her and didn't say anything, just let her cry onto me.

She finally calmed down and rubbed her eyes from tears. "I'm sorry." She said

"No, don't ever be sorry." I replied setting my hand on her knee.

"No, I deserve to be. You confessed all your feelings to me and I smashed it into a million pieces. I mean I went on a date with some random guy. I'm such a horrible person." She explains as more tears begin to fall. I didn't know what to say.

"Three weeks ago, you said you needed time. I gave you all the time in the world to figure out your feelings towards me." I began as she stared at me to continue "Can't you tell me now?" I looked at her with sadness in my eyes. She didn't say anything but smiled. A sigh in relief came out of my mouth as she giggled. I looked up at her and shot her a grin. "You don't need to tell me." I say leaning closer

"Because I can see right through you" I pressed my lips on hers as she grin through the kiss.

First off, I am very sorry for not writing on here at all in the past couple of months.  Recently, I am working on a fanfiction and have a few chapters out. This is also a Grayson Dolan fanfiction

Description: They lie when they say monsters aren't real. The world is a lot scarier than it seems.

[Chapter One]: "this is not my usual gig!"

Her heart beats rapidly in her chest; she never thought she would be hunting demons before. She never hoped she would. But here she is, a demon is tied to a wooden chair in the next room. She breathed heavily as an attempt to calm down. It worked for a few moments until she felt a large hand on her left shoulder, her reflexes kicked in and she quickly grabbed their arm and twisted it. They let out a loud groan in pain.

"Don't sneak up on me like that" She hissed as she released their arm

"Dani, you need to calm down" Daniella's friend stated

"I'm sorry, but this is not my usual gig! Stick me in a vamp's nest, not a problem. I will kill every last blood-sucking bastard, but demons?" Daniella exclaimed

"Hey, it's going to be alright. I've dealt with some demons in my time" They informed with confidence

"You dealt with one"

"And I've been reading about them for awhile now" They defended

"I don't know if I can do this Jordan" Daniella admitted

"Dani, you fought under a siren's spell, you took on a werewolf twice your size on your own. A dumb demon would be a piece of cake" Jordan reassured "C'mon, Let's exorcise this bastard" He added receiving a smile from Daniella.  She sharply exhaled and went into the room with the demon.

The demon took control of a guy around their age. His body was marked with battle scars, he put up a hell of a fight. Luckily Daniella and Jordan fought some strong creatures. His skin which was once smooth is now covered in burns, cuts, and bruises. Daniella found him quite attractive, if they weren't in this situation, she would have considered going out with him.

"When is he going to come to?" Daniella questioned breaking the uncomfortable silence. As she finished saying that, a low growl came from the boy's throat. His eyes opened as they were pure black. He blinked and once he opened his eyes, it was the boy's brown eyes. He started to get frustrated as he jerks his body around in the chair; the wooden legs scratching on the floor. His frustration soon became anger as soft groans grew into growls.

He scanned his surroundings, then set his attention on Daniella. He soon became silent as a mouse. He looked at her with an uncomfortable stare, examining her expressions and movements. He noticed how she's avoiding eye contact, that she's fiddling with her thumbs and how she's standing behind Jordan. He can tell she was scared, which he got pleasure out of.

"Aww, I'm your first demon. That's adorable, I'm honoured" It drawled raising his lips into an ugly grin. His teeth were stain with the blood of the boy who he possessed. His smile faded and he gazed at Daniella again. His head tilted to the side slightly as he observed her. "How does someone like you get into the hunting life?" He questioned

"Since you know what we are and what we do, you should know why you're here.." Jordan stepped in

"Enlighten me" It laughed turning to Jordan

"I wouldn't be laughing if I was in your position" Jordan threaten

"Why not? Being quote-unquote 'interrogated' by two hunters who are way in over their head is hilarious" It remarked. Jordan scoffed then quickly grabbed the holy water and squeezed in into its mouth. Screams and growls filled the room as the demon struggled, his throat being burned from the holy water.

"Because you're the one trapped and I'm the one with the holy water" Jordan scowled, "I'm only going the say this once, why the hell was a demon traumatizing an innocent family?" He shouted leaning close to its face. The demon spits out blood that stuck in his throat, he stared into Jordan's eyes as he breathed heavily.

"Because it's fun?" It stated more as a question like it was an obvious answer. "Being a troublemaker and making chaos is part of the job description of being a demon" It added then shot a toothy grin towards Jordan who was still inches away from him. "Are you going to kiss me?" The demon commented. Jordan backed away looking out the window, he was pissed off and the demon knew it. Silence lingered in the air, thick and heavy, like a blanket.  You can hear every movement in the room, hear every breath. Jordan huffed then exited the room, instructing Daniella to watch the demon. She nodded then unsettling sat against the nearby desk in the room. The demon sat in the chair with a satisfied smile on his face. He knew he got under Jordan skin, he found entertainment out of making cocky people feel less than. He glances towards Daniella, she was still frightened. Daniella sat uncomfortably on the desk and he heard heavy breathing from her.

"C'mon, I'm not going to hurt you" It started breaking the silence

"You sure tried when you put a knife against my neck," Daniella remarked

"It was self-defense" It replied "You didn't answer my question. how'd you get into hunting?" It asked. Daniella hesitated to say, the demon looked at her waiting for an answer "You can tell me, I won't tell the other guy" It added referring to Jordan

"Werewolves" She finally replied

"Untamed mutts, they're like hellhounds long lost drunk cousin" It commented receiving a laugh from Daniella. "What's your name?"

"You know, you're really curious for a demon" Daniella stated

"What can I say?" It replied revealing a smug smile "Name's Ethan, well that's the meatsuits name anyway, so let's go with that" He added

"What about your demon name?" She asked

"I'll say it on our first date," He says as Daniella scoffs

"Speaking of demons, how are they made?" She questioned

"Well, when a mommy demon and a daddy demon--"

"Yeah, I get it" She interrupted making him chuckle

"I'm kidding, the way we're made is a painful process. We were all human once, but hell beats the humanity out of you. Most of us don't even remember being human" It explained

"Do you remember, being human?"

"Yes"

You and Kian had a long distance relationship, which was going pretty well since most people couldn't make it work. You would visit him in LA and he would visit you when where he could. It was the last night for him before he had to catch a flight in the morning. So you went out with him and a couple of friends. It was decided to go to a local bar, you weren't on board since you don't really drink so you became the designated driver.

"Kian, it's getting late" You stated

"No, it's fine" He slurred "We have lot's of time" Kian pointed out. You look at your surroundings at no one was in the bar, your friends went home and the bar was closing.

"Kian, we need to go. The bar is closing" You explained as Kian shook his head

"Hey, can I- can I get another one?" Kian stutters but the bartender ignores him and continues cleaning glasses. You sighed and pulled Kian up from this chair then he leans on your shoulders. "I love you, you know that?" He says laying lazy kisses on your cheek

"Yeah, you've made it clear-- Kian can you help me please?" You question because Kian was putting all his weight on you. You get a 'mhmm' in response as he started walking by himself and bursts out the doors.

"Good morning world! Oh my, you look fresh and appealing tonight" He shouts stumbling out the door

"Shut up!" A male voice was heard from one of the nearby houses

"Oh, God has spoken to me. Rather rudely" He comments

"Kian, keep it down." You shouted hitting his side. He staggers back to your side, pulling you into a hug

"Why are we leaving y/n?" Kian asks putting his weight on you

"Because they're closing" You replied lightly pushing him towards the car.

"That's no excuse" He added resting on the driver's door.

"You have a flight in the morning" You pointed out, leading him to the passenger's side. "Just get in the car" You sighed opening the car door. He just stared at the door then glanced at you

"I forgot how to get in a car, do you have the manual?" He slurred

"Oh my god, just get in please," You yelled as you drop the keys to the car. Once you picked it up, Kian walked past you and back to the bar.

"One more drink." He says wiggling the doorknob and rests his head on the door.

"Kian, baby they're closed" You come up to him and run your hand up and down his back.

"You yelled at me, that hurt my feelings" Kian pouted.

"I know, I'm sorry. Come on" You say wrapping your arm around his waist

"I don't want to go back to LA in the morning" He complains

"I know" You reply leading him to the car.

"It's hot, there's a lot of traffic, and it's not here with you" He explained placing kisses on your cheek.

"Yeah, okay, come on" You comment

"I don't want to go back. Please don't make me go back y/n" Kian begged, stepping in front of you.

"I'm not making you go, I'm just trying to get you to bed" You implied

"But getting me to bed means I have to go to sleep, then when I wake up in the morning I have to go back to LA. Please, please, please don't make me go back" He explained pecking you on the lips.

"Alright, just get in please," You asks as Kian got on he groaned in pain as you climb into the driver's seat. You started the vehicle and pulled out the bar's driveway. It was quiet ride so you assumed Kian fell asleep until he started humming a soft tune.

"Is One Direction still together?" He asks with his head rested on the window.

"They all have their own songs, I don't know" You answered

"If I Could Fly is a good song, people should listen to it more" Kian stated

"Yeah, they should" You agreed

"I want to stay here with you" Kian admitted "I don't want to go back, I miss you when you're not with me" A smile creeps on your face as he finished the sentence.

"I miss you too, but your whole life is there" You added

"You're not there. I want to stay and cuddle with you" He explains and he puts his head on your shoulder as you keep your eyes on the road.

"What about your friends in LA? What about JC or Corey?" You ask

"I don't want to cuddle with JC or Corey" He claimed as he receives a laugh from you.

"I don't mean it like that, I mean, your life is there Kian. Your friends, your job-"

"I can do youtube here" He corrected

"What about JC? You share a channel with him. It's your home" You explain

"But I feel like this is home because your here" He argues as you blush

"Stop being cute and let me be right" You stated making a warm smile appear on his face "Look, I will visit more. I promise"

Summary; You got your dream job in journalism and the head editor tells you something soul-crushing. You head home having no motivation to do anything and start to doubt yourself and your dream of journalism. But Corey is there and reassures you.

AN; this was asked a long time ago I'm sorry...

You sat at your desk in the newsroom, the cubical walls were small enough to see the top of the head of your coworkers, the newsroom was filled with the sound of chatter and typing. You laid back in your office chair, still not believing you were in the newsroom of the New York Times. As a child, every child in your class wanted to be a doctor or a teacher, but you were inspired to be a journalist. When you were hired by the New York Times, it felt like a dream that you weren't ready to wake up from.

You worked there for a few weeks now and every day kept getting better and better. Your coworkers probably thought of you as weird and a bit irritating but you couldn't help your excitement.

You were currently in a meeting and the head editor was there which he rarely was. Everyone seemed on edge when he was in presence. Once the meeting was over, he asked you to stay behind. You nodded as other workers left the room to continue with their day. It was just you and him in the room and he stared at you with an expressionless look. You finally understood why people felt on edge when being around him. You avoided eye contact before finally saying something.

"Um.. you wanted to see me, Mr Jefferson?" You asked glancing at him.

"Yes, y/n I've read some of your work..." He began

"Great, I'd love your feedback" You sighed in relief as a grin grew across your face

"I worked with a handful of young people, you know interns, new hires, so I got a pretty got sense of peoples weaknesses and strengths. I have a gut feeling if they can make it in the journalism world because it can be a tough world." He explained

"Oh, I can agree on that" You replied letting him continue.

"Yeah, so I'm here to tell you... you don't got it" He stated. Your face fell, the grin soon turned into a frown. It felt like someone kicked you in the gut, a lump formed in your throat making you not able to speak.

All you managed to get out was "Oh..."

"I could be wrong, but I gotta tell you, that rarely happens." He said shaking his head. You just nodded not wanting to say anything. "Look, I hate saying these type of things to young journalists. Especially you, I mean you're smart, hard-working, and your writing is phenomenal. But I just think you can't put yourself out there. You don't have it" He repeats.

"I should get going," You say gathering your stuff.

You quickly walked out the door but was stopped by Mr Jefferson's voice "I could be doing you a huge favour right now y/n" You didn't look back but just kept on walking. You had at least 10 sarcastic replies to that statement but it seemed more professional to stay quiet. You left the building and headed straight home. You can feel your whole world collapse. You lungs tightened not letting you breathed as tears ran out your cheeks. You started to doubt everything. Your dream as a journalist, your past leading to this moment, yourself. You asked yourself if Mr Jefferson was right and every voice said yes. Except for one, a small part of you thinks he was wrong but the rest of you overlaps it.

You returned home and was greeted with a hug by your boyfriend Corey.

"How was work?" He asked with a smile, you looked up at him and once he saw the sadness in your eyes, he pulled you into a hug. "I'm sorry" He whispered and you burst into sobs. You hugged him back which made him pull you in tighter. He rubbed patterns along your spine which helped you calm down.

After you fully calmed down, you explained everything that happened today to Corey.

"I thought I was doing pretty good, I had a good rhythm with everyone. But I guess not." You sighed

"No, Mr Jeffery has no idea what he's talking about" Corey exclaimed

"Jefferson" You corrected

"Whatever!" He replied "Y/n, he's wrong, completely wrong. You're the best journalist I've ever seen. Your articles are amazing, beyond amazing" Corey stated

"That's what he said, but he thinks I can't put myself out there." You explained, "And maybe he's right. I don't have what it takes to be in the journalist world"

"No, y/n don't say that. You've worked your ass off to get that job, you worked in the school newspaper every year. You have put yourself out there." He argued

"That's just the school paper, Corey. A kid wrote about plastic flowers and it was on the front page. This is the real world and I'm not gonna make it" You breathed. Corey let out a frustrated sigh and crouched down right in front of you.

 "Stop doubting yourself. You're going to get there- you're going to make things happen." Corey continued, "You were the head editor at Harvard's newspaper. What's it called?"

"The Harvard Crimson" You answered

"Yeah, you went to school at Harvard University and became the head editor of the paper. That could've not been easy. You put yourself out there, you have what it takes." Corey reassured. "I know you can become the best journalist New York Times has ever seen and they're gonna be begging to have you back."

You looked into his eyes and smiled, "You just have to get yourself back out there" He added. You leaned in and placed a kiss on his lips.

"Thank you Corey" You grinned

He pulled you into a hug, "Anything for you"

It was rare for Kian to be visiting his little sister. If anyone was doing the visiting, it would be Isabelle. But Kian decided it was his turn to do the visiting and would be staying in the guest room for a couple days.

Kian walked from his room to the kitchen and heard Isabella say "You're on speaker, I gotta cook" Isabelle continued to face the stove and turns to him, she placed her index finger in the middle of her lips, indicating for him to be quiet. He obeyed her instructions at sat at the breakfast bar.

"Who's that?" He mouths in which Isabelle shows the caller ID. It was y/n, Isabelle's best friend since high school. Kian nodded and continued to eavesdrop on their conversation.

"Alright now tell me" Isabelle demanded, making y/n laugh from the other line.

"You gotta promise me you're alone. I don't want anyone to hear this" Y/n whined

"What? The guy you like?" Isabelle asked as Kian was at the edge of his seat weirdly interested in this.

"Yeah, I never told anyone before and it's weird" Y/n commented

"It's only weird if it's my brother" Isabelle teased. Y/n stayed silent on the other end. Isabelle grabbed the phone and put it closer to her mouth before calling out Y/n's name again. "Is it my brother?" Isabelle asked as Kian stood from the chair waiting for an answer.

"It's weird isn't it?" Y/n sighed

"No, I was kidding. I'm just shocked" Isabelle stated "Which one? Kian" She hesitated to ask

"Yeah" Y/n confirmed before clearing her throat. Kian's jaw dropped and Isabelle raised her hand to cover her mouth. Y/n sat in the uncomfortable silence waiting for her to say something.

"How long?" Kian mouthed wanting Isabelle to ask her.

"Uhh... H-how long?" Isabelle stuttered still shocked from her answer

"You know, not that long" Y/n answered vaguely.

"How long is 'not that long'?" Isabelle asked

"Since we graduated high school" She replied, "Promise you won't tell him?"

"I promise," Isabelle said before taking it off speaker and putting it against her ear. Kian hit her softly as she returned to her room. He turned off her cooking then started to process what just happened.

'She liked me for over 2 years' He thought, bringing a small grin to his lips. Kian continued with his day, coming back to the thought of her having a crush on him.

"Hey Y/n is coming over and we're watching a movie" Isabelle stated barging into Kian's room

"S-she coming over? When?" Kian asked walking towards her and almost tripping over, making Isabelle laugh

"Woah, calm down big brother. Y/n is come over in about an hour and we're having a girls night so you stay in here, okay?" Isabelle instructed

"Y-yeah, yeah of course" Kian stuttered

"Alright... Weirdo" She says before closing the door. Kian facepalmed knowing his little sister, she won't let that go.

About an hour later, Kian was still in the same laying position scrolling through his phone until he heard laughter from the living room. Y/n must be here. Kian shook his head thinking it was unfair he had to stay in the room like a grounded child. Every now and then he would sneak for a drink or to the bathroom.

Now it was close to 1am and he was still awake. The noise had dialled down and probably 15-20 minutes ago, it started to rain which grew into thundering and bursts of lighting shining in his room then returning to its dark state again a second later.

He was scrolling through his twitter feed until he heard the door open and saw a small figure entering the room. She didn't see him until she closed the door and turned towards the bed

"Oh my god, I am so sorry, I didn't know you were here" Y/n sniffled. To Kian, it sounded like she was crying and sat at the edge of the bed

"Y/n, is something wrong?" Kian asked full of concern

"It's nothing really it's just--" She was interrupted by a loud bang of thunder in which she quickly covers her ears and let out a cry.

"It's okay y/n, you want to sleep with me?" Kian asked "You know not in a dirty way" He added receiving a smile from y/n

"Thanks, Kian but you don't have to--" Another crack of thunder boomed, not as loud but still got the same reaction from y/n. Kian didn't say anything but pulled y/n into bed. He wrapped his arms tightly around y/n and started softly humming into her ear, wanting her to feel safe as possible. Lighting filled the room with a roar of thunder following. Y/n cried out once again, hiding her face into Kian's chest.

Kian pulled her closer and whispered into her ear "Don't be scared, princess. You're mine now and with me, you're always safe"

It was Friday night, there was a party and all your friends were going. They all suggested you go but partying wasn't your thing so you declined. But eventually, they persuaded you and accepted. Jc still wasn't on board with the whole thing as begged you not to go.

"Y/n, please don't go" He begged as he stood in the doorway of your room

"Why? You had your fair share of parties" You stated looking at him through the mirror

"And I regret them all" Jc argued

"We both know that's not true" You smiled as he lowered his head in shame

"What if you get hurt? What if there's a fight?" He asked making you grin because how concerned he was

"Yeah because I'm such a fighter" You scoffed turning towards him then wrapped your arms around his neck "I'm gonna be fine," You said trying to reassure him softly kissing him on the cheek

"Can you just stay home?" He pouted

"You are especially whiny tonight" You teased tapping his nose as he sighed "I don't really like to drink and I hate arguing/fighting in general, what's the worst that can happen?" You say as a last attempt to reassure him, you heard a honk outside meaning your friends were here. "I'll see you later okay?" You stated placing a kiss on his lips and he slightly nodded

"I love you" He replied

"Love you too" You smiled then headed out the door.

You finally arrived at the party, people stood outside the house drinking/talking. You followed your friends inside and it was crowded. It was basically the cliche scenes in movies, people dancing so close that it looked like tic tacs being shaken in the box, horrible pop songs blasting through the speakers, people questioningly jumping into the pool fully clothed, and occasionally, stoners in the corner.

The stench of alcohol followed you everywhere you went, the music was so loud it made your skin tingle and made your lungs feel like mush, the bass thumped in time with your heart beat as though they were one. Over the roaring music, distant, hazy chatter was heard, you couldn’t make out any words, but laughter rang in your ears and wouldn’t seem to stop. Besides the smell of cheap beer and overplayed music, you were having a great time. Huddled with your group of friends and purposely singing horribly to the current song was loads of fun. It brought up a side of you that you didn't even know existed. Everything was going fine until you heard some loud arguing in the kitchen.

You and your friends made your way to the center of the circle and saw two guys in the center with a crowd of people surrounding them. You didn't know what they were shouting at each other but it seemed intense because one eventually threw a punch at the other. It escalated and it grew into a full-on fight with the crowd making an occasional reaction sound.

One of the guys pushed the other then bumped into you and since he was twice your size, it made you fall to the ground hitting your head on the counter, knocking you out. Everyone gasped as your friends gather around you to see if you were unconscious or not. They yelled for someone to call an ambulance and that's when people finally attempted to break up the fight.

When the ambulance arrived, so did the police and they cleared everyone out and shut down the house party. You were still unconscious and one of your friends called Jc and said to meet you at the hospital.

Once they hung up on Jc, he bolted to his car and frantically made his way to the hospital. Many what if questions came to his mind, each one becoming worse and worse. He tightens his grip on the steering wheel, going past the speeding limit. It was a shock that he didn't get pulled over. Jc loosely parked his car and dashed to the front desk.

"Where's y/f/n," He asked trying to catch his breath. The nurse asked one of the doctors to take Jc to your room as the doctor loosely explained what happened to you

"She suffered a severe concussion from impact so we are treating her so it doesn't get worse" The doctor explained as he leads Jc to room 204, which was your room. "She should wake up any second so please call when she wakes up" The doctor states as Jc nods. The doctor went off in the opposite direction to assist other patients. When Jc walked in, a wave a sadness and guilt came over him. Even though the doctor explained it wasn't that bad, it still hit him pretty hard. He sat in the small chair that was in every room and impatiently waited.

A few moments later, your eyes fluttered open greeted a loud ringing sound in your ears.

"Where am I?" You slurred still feeling loopy

"Thank god you're awake" Jc exclaimed pulling you into a tight embrace, you let out a slight groan in pain "I'm sorry, a-are you okay?" Jc stutters examining your body

"Considering, yeah" You stated sitting up from the hospital bed

"Babe, you should stay laying down-"

"No, I'm fine" You argue. Jc sighs placing a kiss on your forehead, he stood in front of you in between your legs. His hand rested below your ear, his thumb caressing your cheek. You smiled then pulled him into a kiss, his lips were firm against yours. But the kiss remained soft, gentle, and slow. You held it for a few seconds before your lips began to move in perfect sync, slowly and cautiously. From your soft touch, it sent a strong feeling of warmth spiralling through Jc's system. You both pulled part resting your foreheads on each other. You sadness in his eyes with a tear starting to run down his cheek

"What's wrong?" You ask as he shut his eyes then slowly inhaled from his nose. He held his breath trying to contain himself then sharply exhaled

"You just scared me" He managed, pulling you into a long hug. "I should call a nurse, they said I need to when you come to" Jc finally says

"Not yet" You added grabbing his wrist. A grin grew on Jc's lips as he laid down on the bed. You cuddle next to him nuzzling your head in the crook of his neck. "I love you" You whisper sending shivers down his body.

"I love you too"

Summary; Your best friend Franny invited you for a sleepover. It was your first time visiting her place and meeting her roommates. You never slept anywhere else but your own home because of a recurring nightmare. Then the expected happens but a very unexpected person comforts you.

AN: I don't know why I always have the reader and Kian strangers, just go with it... Also, it is currently 3 am while I'm writing this

You were always a very anxious person, especially when meeting new people. It just wasn't your strong suit, and meeting your best friend's roommates were no different. You've been putting off meeting them for awhile now because this isn't the first time Franny asked you to meet them. But she already planned the whole thing and was picking you up in an hour. You had to go no matter what and that was eating you up.

You heard a knock at the door and your heart dropped. You rushed to open the door and there stood Franny with a wide grin.

"Hey, you're early" You began as you checked the time.

"No, I said 7:30" She informs

"Not 8:30?" You questioned as she shook her head.

"C'mon, we gotta go" She exclaimed dragging you to her car. You were quiet the whole ride, you were nervous and Franny could tell by your fidgeting, attempting to contain your heavy breathing, and you constantly clearing your throat to make the tightness disappear. "They're really excited to meet you" Franny stated breaking you from your thoughts. You just nodded as she pulled into the driveway. That tightness in your throat and the pit in your stomach instantly returned, your hands became very clammy as Franny climbed out of the vehicle. You trailed behind her slowly and as she was about to open the door, it flung open and a tall figure stood in the doorway.

"Franny!" They greeted making you and Franny jump slightly

"You scared me" She replied with a wide smile. He stood against the wall letting you two come in. Franny walked to the living space and you saw four other guys in the room with the other that opened the door trailing behind you. "Well y/n, these are my roommates. That's Jc, Harrison, Corey, Booby--"

"Bobby!" One of them corrected making her giggle. You had an idea on who everyone was because you watched one of each other their videos the night before.

"And Kian" She continued pointing to the one behind you. You glanced up at him and a grin spread across his face. You returned the gesture and smiled back at him. Your eyes lingered on each other then you set your gaze back on Franny. She gave you a basic tour of the house then someone put in a movie.

The movie ended up being background noise as everyone talked about random things. You got to know everyone, you made something to eat, it was a fun night for you and everyone else. Which surprised you greatly because you were always bad at first impressions. Currently, Corey was telling a drunk story of Jc who asked a homeless man for money.

"Y/n, do you have any drunk stories?" Bobby asked as everyone turned to you

"No, not really" You shrugged

"How about that time when you punched someone when they didn't wish you happy birthday?" Corey replied with a smile

"You told them?" You questioned nudging Franny who sat beside you.

"Honestly we were considering getting alcohol to experience first hand of the y/n being drunk" Kian joked making everyone laugh.

It was past midnight and the boys stated that the first person to fall asleep would get sharpied. You were so unbearably tired and hoped they didn't keep their word. You unexpectedly crashed on the couch then everyone slowly went to bed.

You woke up frantically, gasping for air. Your heart beating rapidly in your chest as you cautiously scanned your surroundings. You had a nightmare. But not just any nightmare, the nightmare. The recurring nightmare with the wind, the darkness, and the non-stop screaming. Your breathing became unsteady and your heart felt like it was about to burst from your chest. The disturbing images and the painful screams followed you into the world of the waking. The darkest corners of the room somehow became darker, you constantly felt like something was gonna come out and it terrified you.

"Y/n? What's wrong?" A voice asked making you jump. The lights were turned on and once your eyes adjusted, you saw Kian sitting beside you with a concerned look. You didn't manage to let anything out and tears started running down your face. You placed your head in your hands and you sobbed. "It's over, you're safe now." He whispered as he pulled you into an embrace and rubbed patterns on your back. After you calmed down a little more, you pulled away from Kian's embrace and stared at him with an apologetic look

"I'm sorry" You sniffled looking down at your hands

"Hey," Kian began wrapping his arms around you "You shouldn't be embarrassed" He broke the hug for a second and wiped away tears that were left on your cheek, he shot a small grin making you blush. "You need to get some rest" Kian spoke as you tensed up. "Come here," He says as he leads you to his bedroom. You climbed into bed with Kian's arms tightly around you, you felt safe. You nuzzled your head in the crook of his neck with your arm wrapped around his torso.

"Goodnight" You smiled

"Goodnight" He replied placing a light kiss on your forehead.

You walked down the street hand in hand with Jc. It was cloudy but not rainy, well not yet anyway. You and Jc were out for a walk until you felt a drop on your nose.

"Did you feel that?" You asked looking up to Jc. He nodded wiping the raindrop off his cheek as light rains started to fall. Jc opened the umbrella he brought as you both stood close under it. After a couple moments, the light rain grew heavy. You both paced trying to get to shelter faster and by doing that, Jc accidentally stepped in a large puddle.

"For fuck sakes" Jc spat out as you giggled at his misfortune. His whole left foot was drenched and every stepped he took, he made a wet squishing sound. "You think that's funny?" He asks

"It's hilarious" You confirmed with a smile, then continued laughing.

"Well, Ms Y/n I hope you don't mind being left in the rain" Jc smirked

"What?" You asked as he bolted down the street towards the house. He took the shared umbrella and ran as fast as he could. You stood there in shock, your hoodie and shoulders already drenched. You ran down the street chasing down Jc but he was already too far. While running, you tripped over a crack in the sidewalk causing you to fall to the ground. "Come on" You sighed in frustration.

You finally made it to your street, across the road you can see Jc in the house with the door wide open. He grinned widely at you as you sadly made your way across the street. You stopped outside the door as large rain drops continued to fall on you.

"I'm sorry" He admits with the grin still plastered on his face. You didn't say anything but instead walked to his room with your sopping clothes leaving a path behind you, knowing it'll piss him off. "Y/n, you're getting the floor all wet!" Jc exclaimed

"Fuck you and your floor" You spat as his roommates snickered at your response. You continued to walk to his room as Jc followed with a mop. Once you made it to the bathroom, you took off all your wet clothes and plopped them into the bathtub. You enter Jc's room wearing one of his sweatpants and shirts

"I'm cold." You say as you jump into his bed wrapping yourself in blankets

"Baby, I'm really sorry" Jc apologizes

"Yeah, yeah, come here" You interrupt wanting to feel his warmth. He climbs in next to you as he wraps his arms around you. A comfortable silence filled the room as you laid in bed with Jc. You can hear muffled talking but the rain overlaps it. "But it was a good one." You say breaking the silence and received a chuckle from him. The room returned to its quiet state. You fell into a deep sleep to the sound of raindrops splattering on the rooftops and the sound of Jc's heartbeat.

The sun shined through the curtains, it was the next day which surprised you because you never slept that long. Jc was already out of bed and you decided to go find him. But once you got out of bed, the whole room seemed to spin. you sat back down and regained your vision. Pain shot throughout your muscles and your nose was so stuffed you couldn't even breathe through it. A wet cough escaped making your throat ache. You tried to call out for Jc but it just made your throat worse. You decided to walk down to the kitchen with a blanket wrapped around your body.

Jc was laughing at a joke previously made then his face fell when he saw you walking down the stairs with a heavy blanket wrapped around your figure, a cherry red nose, and you heavy breathing through your mouth.

"I think I'm sick" You stated nasally

"Aw, come on," He says softly as he leads you up to his room. "You have to stay in bed okay?" Jc states

"But it's boring in here" You argue standing at his doorway

"Y/n you need to rest, let's watch a movie" He suggests already laying in his bed

"But I'm gonna get you sick." You say as you sneezed

"I don't care, I'm not gonna leave you up here alone while you're sick. Come here" He states as you shuffle to his bed side. He pulls you down and holds you in his arms.

"Your plan really backfired huh?" You giggled letting out a cough

There's nothing better than movie nights with everyone. Especially when it's a Jim Carrey movie because Bobby and Kian would do their iconic impression of him. It was the perfect night and full of laughter. You were in the middle of your second movie when the light sound of rain came from outside.

"Yes, rain!" Jc exclaimed

"I love the rain," You agreed "except the thunder"

"What do you mean? Thunder is the best part" Corey added as you slightly shrugged. You tried to play it off because no one knew how you found thunderstorms completely terrifying. It was a childish fear but somehow you never got over it. Now it was an embarrassing fear and hoped no one finds out. But unfortunately, one person knew and it was Kian. Kian was the one who you barely talked to, barely hung out with. Every time it rained, you'd think "it had to be Kian..." because you thought Kian would think of you and laugh at your dumb fear.

When he found out, it was just you and him in the house. Since you two barely talked, he had no idea what to do. But you didn't blame him, not every 20 year old is scared of thunderstorms. So he awkwardly sat with you in one of the housemate's room until it was over.

"Looks like there's gonna be a thunderstorm or something" Harrison states standing at the window

"What?" You asked feeling slightly unsteady. You walked towards the window and saw the sky becoming dark and low with ominous black clouds forming. The brassy glare drains the colour from trees and houses. The wind picked up, howling and warning for what's next to come. You can hear the sound of pattering of raindrops hitting the cement and rooftops then comes the first low crack of thunder.

You inhaled sharply then held your breath, so did the wind. Everything seemed to stop for a few moments then the heavy rain started to fall, splattering the ground haphazardly. The scent of rain grew dark and strong. You gulped trying to get that lump in your throat to disappear. Your hands started to get clammy as your heart beats rapidly in your chest. You slowly stepped away from the window trying to not show fear. You glanced at Kian who stared at you with a concerned look.

"I gotta use the bathroom" You stated as you turned your back on the group, a crack of lightning filled the room for a few seconds then the room returned its dark state again.  You started speed walking and ran into the nearest bathroom. You didn't care whose it was, you just didn't want to be with the others when the first loud crack of thunder boomed. Like on cue, the thunder rolled overhead like the fury of the gods. You let out a small cry then quickly climbed into the bathtub, covering your ears as an attempt to block out the loud booming. Then you heard a small knock on the door.

"Y/n?" Kian asks through the door "A-are you okay?" He stutters. You didn't open the door right away because you didn't want anyone to see you in this state. After five minutes or so, another small knock was heard. You decided to open the door since Kian already saw you like this. Once you did, you saw Kian sitting next to the door. He quickly got up when he saw the door open. "I just wanted to make sure you were okay." He states rubbing the back of his neck.

"Thanks, Kian" You smiled rubbing your eyes. Another thunder boomed across the city making you jump.

"Hey, come here," Kian says leading you to the bathtub. He got in too, wrapping his arms around you. You ducked every single time thunder clapped, but you couldn't help it. "It's gonna be okay, it'll be over soon" Kian whispered in your ear, you hugged him back tightly, starting to feel safe. "Look, put this in." He instructed handing you earphones. He got out his laptop that you didn't notice he had and typed in Netflix. He clicked on one of your favourite movies then pulled you in closer.

Mid-movie, you didn't even realize that the thunderstorm stopped. But you were still cuddling with Kian in the bathtub. You continued sitting like that until the movie was over.

"Did I do better?" Kian asked referring to the time he first found out about you fear

"A hundred times better" You smiled snuggling next to him.
