In the Dark- a V scenario

9:00 PM
Your phone buzzed loudly against the hard, wood surface of your desk; causing you to jump.
"Tae: Good morning babe!"
Of course it was night time for you, but Tae was 14 hours behind of you at the moment. You unlocked your phone and typed back "Good morning!!"
Sighing you put your phone back on your desk. You were just finishing tonight's homework and a quick call to Tae would relieve your stress. You waited patiently for a quick response but none came. To distract yourself you decided to search for a movie or a new drama. Somehow though, you ended up on YouTube watching play through of horror games.
12:08 AM
"Tae: I've had such a busy morning!! Rehearsals are so boring today 😩"
"Tae: did you finish your homework?"
"Yeah I did a few hours ago. Just been watching some YouTube videos."
"Tae: lol, let me guess...bts music videos? 😉"
"Haha you're the worsttttt"
And then silence. You had to wonder what part of his rehearsal he was on. You had tagged along in the past during concerts near by so you knew the routine well by now.
2:20 AM
This was the usual time at night when you got the most emotional. The distance seemed like a million miles away. As you were tucked under your sheets, you couldn't stop thinking about how cold, lonely, and empty you felt. You could almost feel a ghost of Tae's presence wrapped around your body and suddenly you felt your pillow was wet. Wiping the tears away you picked up your phone.
"Actually I lied earlier. I wish you were here 😔"
You tried to sleep but your body wouldn't let you. It's like it was afraid you'd dream about Tae being here and when you'd wake up your heart would break from disappointment. Actually that was exactly what you were afraid of.
2:53 AM
Your phone screen lit up your dark room.
"Tae: Aw I wish I was there too babe! I'm just getting ready for the show now, wish you were the one dressing me if you know what I mean 😉"
"Honestly I would do just about anything if it meant seeing you."
"Tae: what are you still doing up for? You have classes tomorrow silly!!! Go to sleep!!!"
"I wish I could but I just can't seem to settle down for the night."
"Tae: aww jagiya!!!! If I could teleport there I would do it in a heartbeat"
"Don't worry about me! Go have fun today okay?"
"Tae: I'm just a phone call away jagiya!! If you still can't sleep just call!!" And with that you hung up.
You wished it could be that simple. But if you called the prep team would get frustrated. Lord knows that boy can't sit still when you video called. They would need him to be absolutely focused soon and you didn't want to worry him further. With that in mind, you flipped your phone screen down so the light wouldn't bother you. In the meantime, you tried every trick in the book to ease yourself into sleep.
9:00 AM
Your phone buzzed like crazy next to your head and startled you awake. Groaning you went to shut off your alarm when you were surprised to see "Tae Bae wants to video call". You immediately accepted.
"Good morning sunshine!!!" Tae practically yelled into the phone.
The light hurt your sensitive eyes so you squinted to see Taehyung. He was a little sweaty as he patted his face dry with a towel. His hair was a mess and somehow looked cute and sexy at the same time.
"Goodmorningbabe" you mumbled, laying your head back on your pillow.
"Y/N," He said, "it's a little past 9 you have to get up for class!"
Groaning you say up and glared at your boyfriend through the camera. "Just let me sleeppppp~ five more minutes!"
He gave you a "are you kidding me?" look and so you slowly rolled out of bed. You walked into the bathroom and set your phone on the counter and against the wall.
"Why the call out of nowhere?" You asked. "Well I knew you didn't sleep very well last night so I figured you'd need a little encouragement getting out of bed!" Tae explained.
"You're too considerate. How'd the concert go?"
Taehyung smiled, "Really well actually! I wish you could've been in the front row."
"When you come back and perform here, I will be I promise." You looked back at the tiny Tae on your phone screen and smiled like an idiot at his happy, little face. You had to go though so it was time to say goodbye.
"Listen, I have to take a shower now. But thank you for calling me!! I'll text you when I finish."
"Of course," Tae responded, "happy to help! I'll have some free time in the morning, call you again then?"
"Great, I love you Y/N. You need to take care of yourself more. Do you promise?" His tone was so serious.Knowing he worried regardless last night you promised him to do better.
"I'll be back soon," Tae concluded, "talk to you in a bit."
As you hung up you felt like an idiot for being so stupid last night. Taehyung was the best boyfriend you could ever ask for. It didn't matter where he was in the world, it would always remain true.
