Day 3 of the Adobe creative challenge talked about using indexes. Indexes are basically anything that forms as adjectives to an icon. For example,when a plate (which is an icon) is followed by a set of lines give the image that the plate is in motion. . . The challenge was to a create a storyboard combining icons with indexes. I wanted to show some love to our wonderful host @hochdotco . He opened the live session for the challenge with " guess this Pokemon " and so I decided to do this storyboard of how Andrew Hochradel comes together! . . I've been interested in graphic design for a while now so why not use this challenge as a way to test out some ideas. Day 1 was basically just to use the type tool in a variety of ways . "Haha I'm going to be rich" yelled the gaint. "This forest has the best wood and these fruits seem to be worth the money as well. #day20 #breakable . . the princess scanned the bottle she received and engraved on it was the word " ignite " . Was the deity of Iuciid trying to help her? She could only find out further along the journey. Bottle in hand, the princess continued to walk further towards a cave in the distance. The entrance had been barred by the stems of the plants that grew in the area. They had been broken and covered with thorn vines. It looked as if someone had barricaded the entrance on purpose.. could this be why the bottle had been given to her? #day18 #bottle . . After continuing the walk for another hour or so the princess arrived at an open space. A flower started to bloom as soon as the princess approached it.. but instead of bearing a fruit, it spawned a bottle . #day17 #swollen . . The princess walked for hours, there seemed to be no way out of the maze. Her head was getting dizzy. She needed to get out of this place and fast. She knew that the fastest way to getting out of a maze was to keep her hand on the hedge nearest to it and to keep walking. The route however was a long and tiring one. #day15 #weak . . The princess was contemplating the consequences of her actions. Till she had met the bandit she was certain she could overcome any obstacle.. but if it wasn't for the deity appearing her life would've ended there at the hands of the bandit. She began to realise how weak and fragile she really was. The whale deity then spoke to the princess. " I am aware of your situation and the that of the kingdom. As a deity I has no interest in the worldly affairs of men, I help those who I deem worthy of my power. Your desire to save your beloved and your courage is what called out to me. You are not weak child. #day14 #clock . . Meanwhile back at the capital, the prince was still uncured of his disease and his health seemed to deteriorate. The wizard tried his best spells, the doctors tried the latest medicines and concoctions. Nothing seemed to work.. the squads sent after the princess kept getting blocked by the enemy . It seemed to be an almost infallible plan by the enemy.. once the prince fell, chaos would break out in the empire and the enemy kingdom of Malum would take control. #day11 #cruel . . The princess suddenly head a noise from between the trees, it shook the ground and frightened her. She knew whatever it was she was unequipped to handle it and so she ran but wound up in a dead end as there was an lake in front of her. She turned around to see the huge beast that was chasing her. A gaint of a man, with the most muscular physique she had seen. The kingdom's mightiest didn't seem much when compared to this man. She had read about him, a wanted criminal who killed wandering travellers and merchants, Cruento the Gaint. #day10 #flowing . . As the princess continued her walk through the woods she finally headed out into a clearing where she found a stream of slowing water. She had found her bearing. This was the lake of Fortem. #day22 #expensive (Had to bring this one forward else the story wouldn't make sense) . . The journey ahead was long and difficult and the attire the princess wore was not one suited for such a perilous and exhausting one. So she tore apart bits and pieces of her dress, stitched using the most expensive fibres and abandoned her heels, crafted from the finest stones. She tied her hair and started on her way down the woods. #day6 #drooling . . A volley of arrows rained down from out of nowhere, the guards stationed nearby quickly took to their feet and armed their crossbows.. " ALERT THE PALACE AT ONCE ! ! #day4 #spell . . The soldiers rushed to the scene to find their beloved princess lifeless in the lap of the princess. The prince had managed to subdue his assailant but fell prey to the poison in the dagger. The court wizard was summoned to come up with a spell to save the prince. -- STORY -- It was a day of celebration and joy in the kingdom of Spero, the much awaited wedding day of the crown prince with the princess from the neighbouring province. The prince was a just and noble man and the princess, a maiden of unparalleled beauty and grace. The whole kingdom had gathered to bask in the glory of this ceremony. However, within the shadows lurked those who did not favor this union, who sought this a chance to dim the light that the kingdom kept alive. ---------------- This year I've planned to link the prompts and turn it into a continuous story. So glad I took the time and effort to do the first day so well.. hopefully it'll motivate me enough to finish inktober for real this year!
