I usually don’t do this, but right now I feel the need to.
I can’t just be quiet about it and act like nothing is happening, because it hurts and breaks my heart to see everything that’s going on in my country right now.
It would mean the world to me if you could get informed and spread awareness of what’s going on in my country right now.
Colombia is a country that has always battled with violence and corruption, but lately this abuse of power has overstepped the line, and people are tired.
Why is this happening?
On April 15, our president Ivan Duque introduced a tax reform to cover the fiscal gap caused by the pandemic. This reform, affected the working class and worsened their situation of vulnerability during the pandemic.
That same Wednesday, thousands of Colombians went out to the streets, the vast majority peacefully, to demand the withdrawal of the Tax Reform from Congress and the resignation of Finance Minister Alberto Carrasquilla. In the afternoon there were outbreaks of violence and confrontations between protesters and the Police, which led to complaints of police abuse.
Duque refused to withdraw the reform and opened a space for dialogue. Which was not accepted and the citizens decided to continue to protests on the streets to this day.
Why are we still protesting if our minister resigned and the tax reform was withdrawn?
On May the 2nd, our president announced that the tax reform was withdrawn. However, this decision did not put an end to the protests. The protesters continued their claims for the death of at least a dozen people throughout the country, especially in Cali, by shots and abused carried out by the Public Force.
What was Duque’s response?
Duque's response was to send more force and militarize the cities, which was rejected by the citizens who announced that they would continue to complain against measures promoted by the government, such as the reform of the health system and the use of the glyphosate.
Right now, the government is deploying war tanks to combat against the protestors.

What is the media doing about it?
Nothing, and it’s making the situation even worse.
The national media outlets are so biased that they reported a video of one of the biggest protests in Cali, -which is the city with the most deaths, registering eleven, most of whom are young people who were at the protest and were shot dead- as a manifestation in support of the tax reform.

Right now, citizens are being killed and injured during protests by the ESMAD. The Government is causing blackouts in several cities and cutting off social media to prevent information from spreading. As of today, about 1700 cases of police brutality have been recorded since the protests started in April 28 (including but not limited to: murder, battery and sexual abuse).
PLEASE SPREAD THIS. COLOMBIA IS IN FLAMES. THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT CARE ABOUT US AND WANTS TO SEE US PERISH. THIS IS A VIOLATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS.

I've been an army since June of last year and this must be my favourite release so far. The song's strength is mainly in the vocals, and the vocal line freaking DELIVERED. All seven members had their chance to shine though, and I'm 100% here for that.
when tae was picking his teammates and said he needed someone with a brain and he picked seokjin and jin himself went “you pick me for a brain?” and everyone started laughing and asking why and then jin himself said tae must have only picked him because of his luck. and that’s when i just sat back on my chair and laughed because yes kim seokjin the man with brains who was the only one who figured taehyung out back in that village ep and no one believed him although he had been right all the time. yes, kim seokjin the man who solved pretty much everything out for his team in that one escape room back then, and the one who in that sauna guessing game beat namjoon and got out of there before him when everyone outside had thought it was joon the one getting out during the first 30 seconds. kim seokjin the man who understood “carbonara” out of jimin’s iconic “lagimolala” along with guessing the right answer out of all the other members’ nonsenses as well. kim seokjin the man who on ep 80 had three different strategies to win the game and he ended up fooling everyone and then just amusedly sat back as they were announcing the scores and let them all believe they had won at some point, only to later be announced as the winner like he already knew he was. yes, kim seokjin genius. kim seokjin the man not only with the winning name but also with the goddamn brains. appreciate him. thank him. make sure to get him in your team, you clowns.
