New York from the top of the Empire State.

I have been dying for some city shots in my feed. Decided to dig further back than ever. I took this shot 5 years ago in New York on a trip with @mouse_burger. This is #lookingdown from the Empire State Building. This also marks my first non-iPhone photo on @Instagram! (at Quicksand | INCUBUS)

Yesterday I took this shot and asked @joshua___daniel to help me out and draw something about freedom to put over it. He not only came up with exactly what I had in mind, but he did it better, and he even alluded to something that has been on my mind a lot lately. Something addressed in the aforementioned film, Easy Rider, is that true freedom can only be attained if we are free of fear. What @joshua___daniel pointed out is that we have the choice to be afraid, so we are "Free to Fear". In the end, we need to let that fear go, because we are really not in control of what happens to us anyway. Once we let go of our fear, we have the chance to experience true freedom.
