So I have a story to share about my first prostate exam with my doctor. I obviously was pretty scared not ever going through it before and having embarrassing flashbacks of my physical from when I was in Middle School and High School. My doctor has always been down to earth and she makes appointments very comfortable. After I got undressed in had my little gown on, I waited for her to come back in the room. She told me to lay down and lifted up the bottom of my gown exposing my pelvis. After pushing in a few spots and moving manhood from side to side pushing around, she grabbed something out of her pocket. It was something that felt like it was metal and cold cuz I could feel touching my skin around my pelvis and manhood. After a minute or so she put whatever it was away and told me that it was time to stand up and bend over the edge of the bed. After I got into position she put some sort of gel on horror fingers and started to examine my prostate. Luckily it only lasted for a few seconds and then she was done and said I could get dressed. After getting dressed you explain that my prostate is definitely above average and enlarged, but she didn’t think I should be concerned. So of course a little bit worried I asked why should I not be concerned. Then she explained to me that men with a smaller or below average penis size have a larger prostate. She said that my prostate is definitely bigger and it would be something to monitor if things were normal, but taking all things into consideration, she understands why mine is and it’s nothing to worry about.
