What are you thoughts on edolon x sovara ship?
Is this how I spend my free time? Ah, hell with it.
I mean, what, was there some big update I missed? Was there some discourse on the Discord I wasn't privy too? Did Edolon have a whole redemption arc? Did Sova become evil? Am I misreading this entirely?
Alright alright alright, I'll give you my thoughts before I rev up the YT channel again.
EVEN IF the age gap wasn't so big -- or if in universe the age gap 'isn't an issue' because of troll biology or what have you, there's no real way to have this ship work without having major issues.
Usually I'm not one to shout 'problematic' when it comes to shipping culture, because no two people's experiences with a piece of media are ever the same, right?. One person's '&' is another person's '/' to use AO3 terminology.
BUT YOU CAN'T HAVE A CULT LEADER, mind you, again, CULT LEADER shipped with someone like SOVARA! That's like the DEFINITION of an abusive relationship!
You can show me the Seinru scenes ALL YOU WANT but there is nay amount of tragic-backstory-ing that will give me ample sympathy for a cult leader, letalone and especially if his love interest is a former victim of cult abuse.
