Cloud was minding his own bussines, aware of your eyes on him but he didn't know why you were looking at him specifically. He tried to keep himself calm when he noticed you walking over to him, a sly smile on your lips.
He stopped mid word when you sat on his lap and wraped one arm around his neck. "Wha- hey! We're in public." He whispered harshly.
"I'm not doing anything. Just taking a seat." You replied, as innocently as possible.
"There's a bunch of empty seats." Cloud rationalized well but he still placed a hand on your thigh, the other on your hip.
"Yes, but I like this one the best." Everyone around you heard that. They all teased and cheered you two on but your boyfriend felt pretty put on the spot. "I can get off you if you really want me to."
Cloud looked away, his messy blonde hair hiding how his pupils widened. "Stay."
Oh. Oh. You didn't even think that you being in his lap would fluster him this badly. But since then you always chose his lap as your seat, no matter how many other ones were avalable.

What could have been if Sephiroth had been Aerith’s first love instead of Zack, or Aerith, in her childhood, had been close with Sephiroth before she and her mother had fled Shinra?
