Jonathan Byers× Kurt Kunkle

Jonathan goes to NYU and unfortunately his housing isn't very close to the university, so he starts taking the bus to get around. However, one day, while he's staying late organizing a semester project, Jonathan realizes it's too late to take the bus and he still hasn't gotten used to the New York train system, so he's almost forced to order a ride-sharing service, which happens to be none other than Kurt Kunkle.

Kurt decided to move to New York because he knew his murders wouldn't be easily traced.

The trip went smoothly, mainly because throughout the journey Kurt was the one who was talking, asking questions, and making jokes non-stop, with Jonathan grumbling or responding shyly due to the number of cameras around the car. Because of how quiet and polite the younger boy was, the streamer decided that he wouldn't be a victim and decided to just continue the trip normally; in fact, he became even more interested in Jonathan, especially after discovering that the boy was a photographer.

This sparked Kurt's interest, who asked if he might one day be photographed by the younger boy, to which Kurt simply replied that most likely yes. And when Kurt mentioned being a streamer who wants to become famous, Jonathan just smiled and confirmed encouragingly.

"I-I think you can do it... I don't... I don't really know what it is, but you seem to be very good at it." And that alone left the boy in the blue sweatshirt with his chest swelling with ego and pride.

Their reunion would only happen a few weeks later, when Jonathan needed to use the ride-sharing app again and Kurt was once again his passenger that day. Jonathan would be a little more tired, worried because he had received a call from his mother about his younger brother's health, Kurt, noticing this, would ask what was happening (both with the intention of starting a conversation and instinctively realizing that perhaps the two boys would meet more often in the future).

Sure enough, the two would meet for the third time when Jonathan was waiting for a bus late at night. Kurt, passing by, would offer him a ride without needing payment, which Jonathan reluctantly accepted, mainly because it was quite late.

As their encounters become more frequent, the small friendship grows, but what Jonathan sees as a friendship, Kurt sees as an opportunity not only to boost his popularity (the audience apparently loves any interaction between the two, very gay, I know) but also for his own growing obsession with the quiet boy full of secrets.

When Jonathan is bullied and robbed, Kurt chases the thieves like a maniac in his car, not only getting Jonathan's documents back (he used this as another excuse to talk to the dark-haired blond boy) but also aiming to bring more fame to himself, considering that his fame was now focused on the idea of Kurt killing for love.

Their trauma in season 3 should have been explored more because fuck you mean my baby Jonathan and Nancy killed someone???? To defend themselves????? Give me evil stonathan au where Jonathan goes off the deep end when Will goes missing and they find the “body.” Steve has always had feelings/a crush on Jonathan and when the “body” is found and Jonathan starts to lose his shit he decides to stop acting like an ass and goes over to comfort him- but can’t find Jon anywhere.

Steve eventually tracks him down to Lonnies house where he finds Jonathan in the middle of fighting his dad for control over a knife. Steve steps in and helps Jonathan get the upper hand- then hands him the knife.

Thus starts the two of them become vigilante like murderers together, they say its because they want to help people but deep down they both enjoy the thrill
