SOMEONE HELP my friend @covrrslut forgot the name of this movie that they watched
Basically the plot is like its an African American family and the dad is rlly focused on his career (hes also rich), and his wife has enough, they get divorced and now have to co parent their child (shes pretty sure it was a girl).
Basically the girl has some attachment to an imaginary friend or plushy and she has to get rid of it at the end or smth.
More details: theres some plot point of the dads house never having cereal. Theres a scene where the kid sleeps on the couch cuz it doesnt wanna sleep in its room. Theres a scene of the dad rushing to the kids recital of something. The dad hires a maid.

Chapter 5:
Cyrus:
“You did what?!” My best friend Paul exclaimed, his voice somehow managed to cut through the loudness of the cramped hallway we were walking through, a few heads turned.
“I asked her out” I responded casually. I was meaning to tell him during break but I had to get some last minute work done for english class in the library.
“Why the hell?! You don't even like her?!” He said in a bewildered tone, though he was less loud now. He probably noticed the stares from the others in the hall.
“Look I doubt she’ll say yes, besides, I mainly just asked to one up Sylvie” I replied as I leaned against the wall outside our english class, our teacher wasnt here yet.
“And if she does?” He asked as he crosses his arms, fixing me with a disappointed glare.
“She wont, trust, and if she does.. well, who knows, maybe things will work out” I answered casually. I didnt get why he was getting so worked up over this. Just then our english teacher, Mrs. Rory, comes down the hall. The both of us and the rest of our class that was present at the moment began to head into class.
I sat down at my normal spot at the back of class by the window, but instead of Logan doing the same, he goes across the room and sits next to Santa by the door. Weird. Was he really that upset? I signaled for him to come over, but he turned his head and started speaking with Santa, completely ignoring me.
Class started to begin, Mrs Rory had staryed to take our attendance, and I was still unable to get Logan to at least look at me, I couldn't understand why he was so mad, it wasnt like me and him were together. I hated when he ignored me.
“Yes”. Said a voice from next to me, I turned my head to see who it was that had just uttered one word at me out of nowhere. It was Luna, in my attempts to get my best friend's attention, I hadn't even noticed her sit down next to me.
“Yes, what?” I asked, a bit confused
“Yes, ill let you take me out on a date” She replied as she sat down.
That made me pause for a few seconds, I hadn't actually expected her to say yes, my bain seems to short circuit
“Yippy”..yeah, that was the word that out of my mouth.
“You can pick me up saturday, you chose where we go, I suggest you buy me flowers” she said as she took out her notebook and pen from her backpack.
“So your just gonna assume im free saturday?”
“Are you?”
“...Yeah, what are you a mind reader? ”
“No I just happen to know that you have no life-” Mrs Rory chose to begin her lecture and stop me from giving my response, if this was any other class, I probably would have whispered back anyway but Mrs Rory had no chill, and I was one of her least favorites.
Anyhow, I was going on a date, that too with a girl. I was gonna need to plan something good, it had to be better then whatever the hell Sylvie was doing for her.. maybe id go to whatever restaurant Sylvie was taking her on thursday too, just for the food ofcourse, I wasnt gonna try to ruin their date, im not thaaat petty.
some people will be like “I wonder why fanfic writers don’t share their works anymore😔” and then this is them when a writer is kind enough to share something they write — as a hobby, for their own enjoyment — with them for free.
some people really don’t realize how privileged they are that they get fanfics for free. imagine having access to something for free because someone is kind enough to share it with you… and then being rude, entitled and an ungrateful pos to that person who was kind enough to share their creation with you for free
“almost 1 year is a lil too much for me” fuck off. fanfic writers don’t owe you anything. one of my favorite fics was updated after 13 years, and what I did is that I thanked the author for choosing to continue the work, I didn’t act like a spoiled toddler by asking why they didn’t update sooner. and even if a writer chooses to abandon their fic permanently with no explanation, that is their choice, their hobby, their decision. they don’t owe your entitled ass anything.
you people let tiktok rot your brains to the point you see everything as content farm and engagement. not a piece of art created by the artist’s love and passion. it’s dystopian.
