Bonnie's face lit up at the recognition in the boy's face, and he tilted his head in a nod at the exclamation.
"In the flesh! Or, well, in the metal, technically. Nice to know I haven't been completely forgotten up there." He sighed and held out a hand to the kid.
"Nice to meet ya, kid. What should I call you, an' if it's not too invasive a question, do ya happen to know how to get back to the 'plex? Been stuck down here for months ever since that damn bunny lady blocked off where she lured me in."

"Yeah... Freddy was being sad about you not being there..." Gregory glanced around at the sewer around him, scrunching his face up a bit at the sight of it all. "Gregory... My name is Gregory... And... I don't. We should look for that. I don't want to starve down here."
Come one, children. Please rest

Hello. This is a new FNAF RP blog for my animatronic OC Taylor the Thylacine (Tasmanian Tiger/Wolf). I’m semi-selective (mutuals get preference, but I will give everyone a chance), multimuse and side blog friendly. I’ve rped for over a decade on the site, and I’m not super new to the fandom, but I haven’t rped in it for years. I don’t bite!! :>

There was something wrong. There was something wrong with all of them. The programmers blamed faulty upgrades. The engineers blamed fault programming. Nobody took responsibility, not even when the disappearances started. Just dumb kids right? Kids ran away from home all the time. It had always been about the children. "I'm supposed to be their friend." Sun says to himself. He's standing in a bright spotlight, staring up at the statue of himself and...his less desirable self. "This is all wrong, this is all wrong wrong wrong..." There is a sob, even without tears. He knows he shouldn't be out of the daycare, but sometimes he finds himself there. If he knows somebody is listening, he doesn't let on, set to pouting and pondering what he can do to make it better again.
“They didn’t do anything-!” He spoke up before he could think of a good lie, muttering a few “uh-” and “um-”s as he tried his best to figure out what to say.
“I- I just.... Feel off one of the climbing gym things... They’re helping-- Don’t- Don’t worry I’m okay-” He looked to Sun with a nervous expression, silently asking for help confirm his little lie.
“I’m... I’m sure Sun h-has it handled- Right? No- No reason for Freddy to get worried, right?” He almost sounded like he was pleading for Sun to help him out with this mess.
The Daycare Attendant had been lost in its thoughts for a moment. Why did Freddy think that Gregory had turned the lights back on? Nobody was in the Daycare, using the generators there and Gregory was most certainly here. So--? "Right! I'd never do anything to hurt this sweet lil guy! I've put him in a sling and once he gets proper care I'm sure he'll feel a lot better." "His arm is broken?!"
"Um...or sprained. Probably just sprained!" Sun tittered nervously. Freddy sure could be a scary guy when he wanted to be, even just over the watch. "I hope this is not a lie. I will meet you there. Stay safe, Gregory."
"You alright to stand up there, pal? I can carry you if you need me to. I---I'm really sorry..." It was of course, his fault, in a manner of speaking. Sun knew he couldn't completely separate his actions from Moon's, physically or otherwise, even if he didn't always remember what Moon had done. It had not always seen eye to eye with Gregory, but no child deserved to be hurt or die here on purpose.
“I can walk on my own- But- Help me stand up...” Gregory had a feeling that trying to put weight on either arm to get himself would end poorly, so, better to just accept the help than risk it. He was willing to get help, sometimes. The sometimes was a pretty important part of that, though.
He let Sun help him up, waiting for a few seconds to make sure Freddy wasn’t listening in, or was at least too distracted to focus on him and sun. “It’s okay- Actually: It’s not, but I’m not mad, at you at least. There was something... Wrong with Moon... He wasn’t himself. He kinda... Broke thought for a second? Like he managed to see though whatever was messing with him. Not completely, though...”
He made a little humming sound, in thought.
“It’s probably the same thing that is messing with everyone else... I wonder why It’s only affecting them, though? Maybe the same reason Freddy is okay.” Gregory tried to shrug, but was stopped by a jolt of pain up his arm, and he let out a little hiss as he bit back a yell.
"They took us underground..." Sun's voice seemed to be floating away. He stood up slowly, still helping Gregory to his feet, but his mind seemed elsewhere. "They took Moon underground and there was--it was awful...and she---and I woke up back here but everything felt wrong and then I couldn't feel Moon anymore, like he'd become someone else and---I couldn't think, gaahh it's still so hard to just---think!! Ooh the children...ooh it was never meant to be like this...we have to get you out of here!" Sun's nervous energy had returned, and it was a good job he'd let go of Gregory as he hopped nervously from side to side. Gregory's hiss of pain brought him back from the brink of hysteria. "Hey hey, take it easy, steady now friend, just lean into the sling! Sure your arm is...bending in the wrong place a bit, but the sling will take the strain!"
It had actually excited Sun that maybe, just maybe, the Moon programming was returning. If he could start seeing through Moon's eyes again, a lot of his own confusion and disorientation would be eased and the control link they had with the THING in the basement would be broken. But also, he didn't want Gregory to be mad with Moon, or him, or any of them in here. That would either come later or it wouldn't, he couldn't blame Gregory for refusing to like something which had physically hurt him like this.
"She? The Rabbit Lady? Or the security guard?" Gregory perked up at the comment. It wasn't a lot, but it was something to go off of.
Gregory glanced a little bit at his arm when Sun brought attention back to it, before looking up at him with a less than impressed look. Great job at this comforting thing, Sun. He didn't say that out loud, of course. It was already stressed enough, no reason to make it worse.
"Uh- Freddy said he couldn't contact security before... How do you guys do that? Like- wifi or Bluetooth or something? If you could disable it, would that be able to break whatever tie that she has to you?"
"Yes." Sun replied, as stoically as he could manage, to Gregory's question of who 'she' was. "Something like that! I don't really know how to explain it, but everyone here is connected to the inner workings - not everything, everything, just things we need to operate. Like the hook out there we used to get up here has a connection to it! But it's Daycare Attendant only access. I bet the Glamrocks have a lot more stuff they can do than me, we should ask Freddy~! Actually, it's been really hard to get through to security for a while. Had to take care of some ruffians myself a few times, huff!" It was pretty obvious he was still shaken and trying to appear normal.
Sun offered an arm to Gregory's good arm. "Come on buddy, let's walk and talk! We'll go out through the theatre! Let's take care of you before thinking about any of that icky stuff! Have you been to the theatre? It is A-MAZE-ING! You know they have their own Fazbear cartoons that play before a feature?" Just keep talking and maybe Gregory won't pry any deeper. Sun was vaguely aware that whilst he could no longer access security for messaging, it didn't mean they weren't listening through him.
"Yeah I remember, Sun. The banned sign was nice, though. Did you make it?" He laughed little, trying to help Sun's attempts to lighten the mood, but none of it felt right. He felt like he was clear problem at hand.
"You didn't answer my question. Do you think you can disconnect yourself?" Gregory was running through ideas in his mind for how he could get it to work. When you restart a laptop, it needs a second to reconnect to wifi, so maybe making them reset? But how?
He didn't take Sun's arm, but he was willing to follow along with him. It was progress, at least.
"Aww thanks!! I did try really hard to make a point with it, I hope it wasn't too harsh." The door in the Daycare Attendant's room did indeed lead out into the theatre. A poster was hung on it from this side showcasing the stars of many of the cartoon shorts here. Kids loved pirates. "Well for sure I don't know! Haha imagine letting us go around without some kind of track or tag on us, that'd be irresponsible and a total liability." Sun was trying to be sarcastic but was unable to quite achieve the correct tone. "Not to sound like a fool but it's not like you know in depth how every squishy little organ in your body works right? Or how to stop yourself feeling emotions? Same here! I know I could send communications - not words exactly - to security, but not anymore, it's like it's re-routing somewhere though, rather than turned off. This is why I hate going down to Parts and Services, I hate hate hate it. I hate being tinkered with! They always mess something up." He gave his foot a little stomp as they edged their way down to the front of the theatre to use a Staff Only exit.
Gregory hated theaters. He swapped between loving them for being a dark place he would fairly easily sneak into, and hating them for being a dark, loud, area that it was hard to sneak out from without a scene, and at the moment he decided he was squarely in the hate category. “I mean, Freddy’s is kinda know for that kinda stuff... Liability I mean.”
“I mean- I have a general idea.” The sudden shift in tone from Sun threw Gregory off a good bit. He understood the point, but the added descriptions of ‘Small’ and ‘Squishy’ was making him rethink the only on edge trust he was willing to give Sun. Man, he hoped Freddy was quick. If the trade off for Moon being a bit more in control was Sun instead acting off, he might just decide to deal with Moon, not that he’d say that out loud.
Sun didn't know a lot about what had gone on before the Pizzaplex's existence. It had been created to exist in the daycare only and by some fluke or perhaps fate, had developed the ability to write it's own code and gained sentience. What was going on was part of the Daycare Attendant's brief and strange life, but the past was the past only for those who knew anything.
Even so, Sun knew that things were being heavily swept under the rugs here. Parents talked. Guards (when they were human) had talked. People talked around it because they didn't see it as a person. But the animatronic heard and he remembered. Perhaps a distant part of him was even angry at the general neglect towards the animatronics. Why fix them properly if you can stick a metaphorical band-aid on it and move on? In that light, recent events were unsurprising.
"Want some popcorn whilst we're out front~? You must be hungry!" Sun was trying to distract both himself and Gregory from what was going on. "I'm sure Freddy can wait a while." He was being entirely too loud again now they were back in the open.
“Sun be quiet!” He hissed out, looking around from side to side. He couldn’t make a break for it like this. If he was seen he was damned. “It’s probably better to just camp out and wait. Maybe in a recharge station... Freddy where are you?” He looked to the watch in a quiet hope that it would somehow make this all go faster. It did not, of course, but he could dream.
As much as the idea of finding a way to help Sun was exciting, this was not the hill he was willing to die on. Not yet, at least. That was just asking for trouble. Trouble he was not able to stop. He swallowed air and glanced around once more, ready to have to bolt without warning. After again confirming that it was safe, Gregory realized he had forgotten to answer Sun’s question. “No. I don’t want popcorn. I’m not really that hungry.”
After who knew how many hours without food, Sun found it momentarily strange that Gregory wasn't hungry at all - then decided it was most likely stress.
'I am almost at the first aid station, I have marked the location on your map.' the message from Freddy came back.
Ironically, it seemed to be that and not Sun's loud enthusiasm that attracted a certain hungry chicken. Without thinking and whilst strange stray code told him to sacrifice Gregory to her, Sun grabbed the child around the middle and easily placed him behind the snacks counter. There wasn't a second to spare as Chica rounded the corner, saying the programmed safety lines but not moving correctly at all. It was the first time Sun truly considered that it wasn't just them who had been messed with, but other animatronics here too.
Nonetheless, he couldn't let Gregory get even more hurt and stood himself in front of the counter too, trying not to look suspicious.
Maybe it was stress. Maybe it was just he was so hyped up on adrenaline and pain he couldn’t think about it. Or maybe he was just too stressed still to tell Sun the truth about the pain in his stomach. Whatever the truth was, concern was turned to Chica’s rapid approach. He was about to run, before he was suddenly picked up. There was a moment of panic, before realizing he was safe. Sun was trying to protect him. Like with Roxy.
Despite making sense, it still surprised Greg a good bit. Maybe Moon had just shaken him too much to think straight. That made sense, he reasoned to himself. Stress did that, right? Yeah.
"Strange place to fall asleep." (bunnybcwl. Maybe lil man got lost in the sewers? Idk just thought it would be fun to toss bun dad at him!)
[ @bunnybcwl ]
Gregory looked up with a tired look in his eyes. He didn’t realize he had fallen asleep, but looking around the area he found himself in he came to the realization that he could faintly remember stumbling around into the sewers before sleep grabbed him and look him into rest. He blinked a few times, rubbing the sleep from his eyes.
“There am I...?” Gregory’s voice trailed off as he returned to awareness and took another look around. His eyes landed on Bonnie, eyeing the rabbit up and down, before slowly deciding if they wanted to cause him harm, they would already. Gregory stared for another moment. They looked familiar. He’d seen this character before, he was sure of it, he just wasn’t sure where. Then, it hurt him like a slap to the face.
“Wait- Bonnie?!” Hadn’t Freddy said he was gone?

(cont. from X with @imjnstakid )
In retrospect, barreling through the door like a runaway train hadn’t been the safest of entry methods.
After a second long analysis of Gregory’s condition - no visible signs of trauma, shock, or blood - Sam twisted his torso to look back over his shoulder pads, following the child’s gaze. A few S.T.A.F.F. bots has paused in their patrol to watch their eight foot guest rip through a random closet door, but they did not seem perturbed by it. In fact, when Sam failed to do anything else interesting (or potentially threatening), the S.T.A.F.F. bots returned to their programmed patrols.
“You sounded very scared.” Sam turned his attention back to Gregory once he was assured there was no outside threat to handle, first. “Do you require comforting?” The shepherd moved to crouch down in the doorway, bracing himself against the frame to remain stable, and taking up most of the space. “I cannot sing, but I am good at humming.”
“I- I’m fine Sam. Just a nightmare something. Nothing to worry about!” He laughed a little, even if he didn’t sound too sure himself. “You don’t need to-” Gregory began, but Sam had already knelt down. Well, too late to back away now.
Gregory glanced around again, still finding only Sam, before sighing a little bit and scooting more into the closet space so that Sam could come in and join him.
“…Yeah. that sounds nice.”
With permission granted, Sam finished settling down in the doorway, and started to hum a familiar tune.
He wasn’t very good at singing (his disastrous attempt at joining his own pizzeria’s band was proof of that), but humming was different, and didn’t trigger his programing quirks. He tried to keep his tone smooth and soft; good for calming down and drifting off to sleep, even though they were in a closet in a mall, and not a safe, warm bedroom, as would be ideal.
Gregory pulled the blanket over himself and shifted around to get comfortable, before leaning against Sam's side and using his arm as a kind of hideaway to snuggle up under as he listened to the soft tune.
It was curious to hear a robot hum. Not in a bad way, just different. It was comforting in its own way, though, and Gregory did his very best to calm down. If he was honest, it was more for Sam than himself, but did it matter if the end goal was the same?

Alan hummed softly as he worked in his shop. It was pretty eerie though to be honest, the way he was humming, the way he was moving even. None of it was right. When he caught sight of Gregory from the corner of his eye, just in his peripheral vision, he looked up and over towards him with an empty smile.
“Ah…Hello, Gregory. It is about that time…isn’t it…You showing up,“he murmured, voice calm and warm, if a bit distant. “Would you like to come and have a look at what I’m working on?” He would wait for Gregory to get close before he grabbed a fistful of his hair, a smile on his face that didn’t reach his blank blue eyes.
“Oh, Gregory,“he cooed, “You should have listened when your parents told you to never talk to strangers…when you still had parents.” He yanked him towards himself, chuckling softly as he struggled.
“Silly little bear. It’s quite cute to see you try and struggle…also your face….very amusing to see how it looks when someone you’ve trusted so dearly betrays you like this.” He pulled a pocket knife from his apron with his free hand, just flicking it open.
“Lets have some fun, little cub. It’ll really only hurt for a moment, and less so if you don’t struggle.” His voice was just sickly sweet, holding an edge to it as sharp as the blade he plunged into the poor boy.
“….I…It’s okay, Greg,"he replied shakily, tears just falling from his chin as they trickled down his face. He didn’t wipe them off though. Alan reached over and put his hand on Gregory’s head. Gregory felt cold, sort of staticy to him, but Alan could touch him.
"I…It’s okay if you never forgive me, Greg…. I took something from you that no one will ever be able to give back…Something huge…I just…I won’t ever be able to make it up to you.” It will haunt him for the rest of his life, what he did to Gregory, a kid he’d come to consider family. God, it was just a huge betrayal that shook Alan to his core, disturbing him. How did he slip like that? How did he let something in like that? Alan felt so weak, morally and physically. The man wanted to sit down, but, he couldn’t move right now.
The technician was so tired. Just a wave of exhausting overcame him and his vision started to go dark at the edges. He’d forgotten to breathe, and hadn’t realized it until his brain was just screaming at him and he took a deep, shuddering gasp in. Alan felt hollow as he stood there, stroking the ghost boy’s hair, like a porcelain marionette that was having its strings cut one by one as a deep seated exhaustion threatened to claim him.
"You aren’t really helping your case, Alan.” He tried to joke, tried to make things feel a little less bitter, but it didn’t. The touch sparked another wave of the little glitches, in turn hitting Alan with a few static shocks, but he didn’t pull away. The little show of affection was nice.
After a good minute to just take in what was going on a in his head, he pulled away, crossing his legs and took a seat on the ground. He glanced up, and patted the cement next to him, offering Alan a spot next to him. “You look like you’re gonna fall over...”
A moment of silence filled the air, and Greg looked away. He pulled at the button of his shirt, too high strung with so many mix matched feelings to not fidget. “My head feels so... Fuzzy.” As he said the word, Alan could see his face devolve into a static like glitch, before reforming as he continued to talk. “It’s so full- It’s all weird. And hard to really think... Do you think it’s gonna be like that forever now?”
