Hereâs a Thai idiom I recently learned:
Itâs pronounced ângoo ngoo bplaa bplaaâ and it translates to âsnake snake fish fishâ but people use it to say that they know very little about something, especially a language.Â
Next time you tell a Thai person that you speak Thai a little bit (āļāļđāļāļ āļēāļĐāļēāđāļāļĒāđāļāđāļāļīāļāļŦāļāđāļāļĒ or poÃīt thai dÃĒi nÃt nÃēy) try saying āļāļđāļāļ āļēāļĐāļēāđāļāļĒāđāļāđāļāļđāđ āļāļĨāļēāđ (poÃīt thai dÃĒi ngoo ngoo bplaa bplaa) instead.
Iâm still trying to figure out why they say snake snake fish fish so if you know, tell me please!
