Jadyn had just dropped Aleina off for school before coming into the diner to get some breakfast. He hadnāt been having the best couple of past weeks with everything going on right now. His parents had just been killed just a couple weeks before and now he was trying his best to take care of his younger sister. He had the money, since his parents had been incredibly wealthy, but he just didnāt know how to take care of her by himself. His last day of college had been last Friday, but he hadnāt been able to go due to getting Aleina to school and such. Coming into the diner, he took a seat at one of the booths, picking up the menu as the waiter sat it in front of him. He ordered a water and then leaned back as the waiter stepped away to go get it. Only moments later, he was lost in thought, his eyes just staring at the menu in front of him. He stayed like this for a while before hearing his name and he blinked, turning to see who it was. āOh, hey.ā
Tatum felt for Jadyn ā she really did. He was such a nice guy, and after hearing about his parents, her heart broke. She hoped that he might take some time off work if he wanted, just to adjust to all of these new changes. And his sister⦠she hoped she could cope as well.Ā āHi, Jadyn,ā the blonde greeted warmly, and slid into the booth across from him. Hopefully he wouldnāt be bothered by it, but she wanted him to know that he had the support of everyone in Beacon.Ā āYou hanginā in there?ā she asked softly, trying to keep her tone down as he likely didnāt want the attention.Ā āIf thereās anything I can do, Iām here, alright?ā she hoped heād take her up on the offer.Ā āAre you up for some company?ā
When he had saw it was Tatum, he relaxed slightly. He had worked with her for a while now, so it wasn't a surprise that they trusted each other or that she knew when he was hurting. He was sure she knew what was going on though, the whole town knew about their deaths. "I uh, I'm trying to." He spoke quietly. He had to take a few days off work to help around with his sister so he hadn't been working or going to school for a bit. Yeah, he had plenty of money, but he had never been one to just use money too often he hadn't earned himself. Yet, now he had so much he didn't have much of a choice. "Thank you Tatum, that means a lot. Yes please. Company would be nice."
